Relais & Châteaux Weeshuis Gouda

Its very hard to find a place as nice as this in Gouda or Rotterdam that is not a hostel or has that type of vibe. Luxurious hotels are rare here so this place is truly a gem. The level of service at this hotel is impeccable. Everyone is so kind and helpful. As an American, customer service is a lost art to me often times, but the level of customer service here is above and beyond. Everything from the finest detail in this hotel makes it luxurious. Also the upgraded rooms are not that much more expensive and ITS A LOFT. It right in the heart of Gouda, and its overall the greatest hotel I have ever stayed as someone who travels often solo. I cannot recommend this place enough, its amazing. Plus the grounds are beautiful, with the open garden for dining when its warmer out. Highly recommend!

This hotel is perfectly located in the historic center of Gouda. It is architecturally beautiful and interesting. ||Our room (for a family of 3) was roomy and comfortable despite the awkward split between the shower/sink area and the toilet area. However it felt more like the historic heritage hotels you can find in Europe (such as paradores) instead of a R&C. ||The service was straightforward and standard but not at the level we’d expect from a 5* place. There were few luxury amenities. Had i expected a 4* hotel at an equivalent rate I would be very pleased.

The hotel is charming, with gorgeous, cozy, comfortable rooms. The staff is great, the location perfect, and cleanliness is impeccable throughout. The only reason I give it a 9 and not a 10 is that the breakfast was somewhat disappointing in that the menu was promising, but the quality of the food was not quite up to it. Otherwise, the room in which it was served was spectacular and it was still an enjoyable moment, just not on par with the otherwise high standards of the establishment.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel . Everything was absolutely perfect. The place is truly charming, and the staff were incredibly attentive throughout my visit. The restaurant was an absolute delight. A special mention to the front office team, who were exceptionally welcoming.

Weeshuis Gouda is situated at an excellent location. The decoration is warm and colorful. The director is passionate and leads a young team of dedicated staff. Everything was exceptionally well taken care of. Dinner was outstanding. We would be delighted to return.

Beautiful historic hotel in a picturesque and quiet street of the beautiful town of Gouda. We arrived on a Monday when the restaurant and cafe are closed, and got super early check in. Hotel has a WhatsApp message system for pre check in and were responsive to a special request! Monday and Tuesday is a quiet time to visit this town as many restaurants are closed. Beautiful bike rides all around. As is common in historic buildings in Holland Hotel has lots of steep stairs so if you have mobility issues mention this for your room selection.

We were two nights with a family of 4 in the family suite. I also invited my mother and in laws for one night in a deluxe room and junior suite. Everyone was overwhelmed by how nice this hotel in Gouda is, a very big recommendation
