Without their knowledge, this place inadvertently saved our whole trip. We suffered a massive schedule delay, and it threw our pre-booked itinerary in the garbage. We literally booked our room about 45 minutes out while en route to Trapani (found on booking.com). We were greeted personally, and given special arrangements. The staff made reservations for dinner 200m from the front door where I literally had the best pasta dish of my life: Medaglioni Ripieni di Crostacei al Pistacchio, even typing the title makes me salivate and smile. The next morning, the breakfast was perfect: fresh fruits, pastries, fresh baked bread, various meat and cheeses, coffee prepared to order. We were allowed a very late checkout, and this time allowed us the opportunity to reclaim control over our trip in a relaxed, no stress environment. Do yourself a favor, self care is important: Stay here. It's far enough off the beaten trail to be quiet and peaceful, close enough to everything around to be convenient.

Very comfortable hotel with an outstanding location looking out over the salt pans, Egadi islands and the most magnificent sunsets. ||We had a large room with a large terrace, comfortable chairs and our own jacuzzi. I think we were lucky to have the best room (201) but it was definitely worth it. ||There’s a nice pool and a bar/breakfast room. The hotel owns a restaurant about 250m away across the salt pans (don’t drink too much as you have to find your way back in the dark!). A lot of people come to the restaurant just for the sunset so it’s rather busy though most are taking photos rather than eating. ||Very nice staff and all very helpful. ||Would definitely recommend.

Very welcoming and exceptionally helpful staff. Pleasant, simple rooms. Overall good value for money. The environment next to the salt pans and windmills is unique with amazing skies. Great views from many of the bedrooms and wonderful morning walks. Very convenient for visiting Mozia with all its ancient history and museum. The garden and pool are very relaxing. The restaurant is a short walk away, has lots of character and is excellent value, serving generous portions of Sicilian food.

Lovely comfy room in a beautiful hotel. We walked to the windmill for dinner. There happened to be a salt festival going on so the area was busy but everyone was friendly and helpful. Lovely sunset. There is a bar and a swimming pool at the hotel. Breakfast was very good.

We spent a perfect day by the peaceful Saline di Trapani. Everything about the hotel was of a high standard from the rooms to the staff to the pool area. The hotel is perfectly placed on the edge of the salt flats. The Museo del Sale is a short stroll away, the building is shared with an excellent restaurant where you can watch the sun go down as you eat or enjoy a cocktail. Of particular note is the standard of breakfast, I've stayed in a few hotels in ltaly and this has been the best by far.

Great service, very welcoming and friendly team, super clean all areas, lovely swimming pool. Great location for relaxing holidays. There is a good restaurant close by and another a bit further but worth the walk! Trapani center distant 20 min by car. Definitely recommend this hotel

A very unique experience in a special location. Super quite and dark skies in this stand alone oasis set in a nature preserve and historic salt farming area. The associated restaurant down the path is as good as the hotel and the staff in both is excellent. Worth going out of your way to stay here.

If you stay here you are in for multiple treats. The historic location right next to the old salt works is unique and allows you to walk to the Salt Museum a few hundred meters from the hotel, which itself used to be the habitation of the salt work owners and a storage facility. Today it has been converted into a delightful and bright hotel overlooking the salt basins and white mounts of salt. Rooms are light and functionily, the breakfast room beautifully decorated in light blue colours and glass tables with inlaid salt. The pool area is clean and inviting and drinks and cocktails served. There is also a jaccuzzi overlooking the salt fields. Dinner can be enjoyed at the next door Salt Restaurant which is in the same building as the Museum, a five minutes walk from the hotel. Staff is extremely polite, helpful, professional, structured and well coordinated. Not really anything to critisize so only five stars is an option.

Yelp
The west coast of Sicily is remarkable. Europe of course, with strong influences of African culture. Some of them due to the climate. Between the two cities Trapani and Marsala you'll find the old salt district. Salt from the sea. Right here is Relais Antiche Saline. A charming secluded hotel at the end of the road in connection to an excellent restaurant just a few steps away, passing alongside some of the very many salt basins. The hotel is in perfect shape with a nice garden and a swimming pool. For the interested travelers; we are in Nubia where they grow the world famous red garlic. When leaving your bags are full of them. And that's a promise.
