We did our research before going and knew what's where but at the check in all information was kindly explained by the lovely Helena. We had a late check in and asked in advance about the airport transfer which was booked for us by the hotel and also an offer was made for the cold plate at the request in case we miss the dinner service, which luckily we did not. At first we were sat at the outside table, which was to be our forever table but asked to be moved inside which was no.problem. All of the staff, from the Reception (especially Ludovica and Gaia who were super helpful) to the dining room, animation and cleaning service - everyone was super nice, curtious, professional and helpful even at the peak of the time, which sometimes at the busy period can become overwhelming. July and Aug seem to be the busiest period. Lovely dining experience with various menu lovely coffee lady in the morning making a magic at the coffee machine even though there is a queue she has a smile for everyone. Aminamtion team makes sure all kids and adults are entertained at the resort and the beach. Such a nice stay for all the families, we had a great time even though July is super busy. Rooms and resort spotless. Management takes care team a d the guests are looked after. The only thing is that an entertainmemt lasts until late hours so if you have young kids, or prefer quieter night, i would ask for the room to be based at the end side of the pool towards the spa. The spa is great, free for all once you book in advance and once per stay a dinner at Masseria restaurant is lovely. You can book an excursion to local attractions in Castro or Lecce but if you don't have a car transfer is costly. We did a cave tour which was nice with hotel transfer totally worth it. Beach shuttle is regular and beach is lovely, with volcanic black sand and snorkel views at the beach. There is a lovely deli short walk from the beach near the Tower (Torre beach) well worth a visit with a superb italian selection of treats, meats and cheese and wine!!!!

Soft drinks on tap for self service too.|There is paddle tennis, tennis and football all available on courts/pitches plus a lap of the ground is approximately 1.3km long for any who want to have a morning run to work off the incoming days food intake.

Stayed July/August for 2 weeks. Hotel is excellent. Food great, rooms spacious and clean, everyone working here are friendly and polite. Pools are very good, very large main pool, section for very little children and a separate pool for a quieter time. Never any problems getting sun loungers. Only problem is there is very little shade. Bar is very good with quality drinks, some proper brands available with all inclusive. Bar staff very helpful. Restaurant good with excellent food. All the food is served to you but it doesn't mean you get less, you have as much as you like. Beach is a 6 minute drive on free shuttle bus every 30 minutes. Beach not the prettiest but perfectly fine with lots of sunbeds. Shallow water but quite rough when we were there. All inclusive bar available. As a couple coming from UK it's not really ideal location unless you want to stay in hotel grounds for whole holiday. This resort is very isolated with no proper excursions available. You really need a car here as most people do as majority of people come from Italy. Entertainment is hit and miss as everything is in Italian, same as announcements. There are some good singers in bar area.

I stayed here for a week, as a solo traveller and on an all inclusive basis. The aim of this holiday was just to relax and this hotel allowed me to do exactly that. It is tucked away in the countryside, with the nearest village (Vernole) just over 5 miles away and the only traffic noise you hear are the golf carts running round the grounds. My room was a double (156), and was a great size with a huge bed, a large bathroom which included a really good shower and lots of storage. |The pool is beautiful with steps and slopes into it, plus water jets at one end. And plenty of sun loungers for everyone, so no one felt the need to rush and claim one every morning. |There is also a free shuttle bus to the local beach, which is well worth a visit, and the hotel has a private area with free sun-beds and a beach bar there for guests to use. |If you want to explore further you will need to hire a car, or reception can arrange a taxi, which they did for me when I wanted to spend the day in Lecce. |The staff at the hotel could not have been more friendly, from the moment I arrived at reception I was made to feel very welcome and that nothing would be too much trouble. The restaurant and bar staff were equally lovely, especially the Maitre d in the restaurant. I even got used to him calling me Madame Ottway. |The food is fresh and plentiful, with a nod to the more traditional style of Italian cooking. And I really enjoyed having the same table for each meal, it made life so much easier. |There is an on site entertainment team, and although I am not that person, they still made time to say hi to me every day and have a chat. |The grounds of the hotel are well maintained, with everyone doing there but to keep them clean and tidy.|And yes, the majority of guests were Italian, but I found that to be an advantage rather than the opposite.|If you want complete rest and relaxation, in the Italian sunshine, then this is the place for you.

This was a last minute booking. Resorts are not usually our ‘thing’, but the all-inclusive arrangement suited our needs for this week in the early season. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The resort is so clean, so well supervised and so safe. The beds are comfortable and the pools are exquisite. The regular shuttle to the beautiful beach is a plus. |What makes the Relais so special is the staff. I have never encountered a place where every single employee demonstrated such professionalism and kindness. Hotel work requires a lot of patience, tact and charm. The staff have it in abundance - from the ladies who service the rooms to the lifeguards and the entertainment crew (grazie to “the angel” Gabriele, Luisa, Esteban and crew) to the servers in the dining room - everyone was so accommodating. The service was always friendly and professional. The food in the restaurant accommodated all tastes, and it was very good. Our children tried so many new dishes and loved them all. The kindhearted maitre- Michele and his team ensured that the busy environment ran so smoothly. Always there, always discreet, always attentive. The staff behind the food counters were relentlessly cheerful even at breakfast time. They remembered how we like our coffee, they replenished the Nutella dispenser and managed it all with humour and finesse. Grazie Alesia, Luisa and co.|The bar staff also managed the busy aperativo time with calm efficiency and smiles. The aperol spritzes are an elixir! Many thanks to Anna, Isa, Marco and Andrea. I don’t know how you do it. |A special acknowledgement to Marco at the beach bar who was so welcoming every morning with an espresso and a smile. |All of these elements enhanced the atmosphere and the beautiful sunshine helped too! |We arrived to this resort tired and somewhat discombobulated, however from the minute that we arrived at the reception desk, one had the sense that this holiday would work out. Again, the ladies - Daniela, Ludovica, Emmanuele at reception were absolute pros. From organising taxis to sourcing pool goggles, nothing was too much trouble. Gianluca who brought us to our rooms always greeted us with a smile and a wave is another star. Apologies to all of the other wonderful lads and ladies whose names I forget, but whose easy charm made our stay so memorable.|The Relais accommodates Italians for the most part, but there were French, German, English and our own little Irish family to contend with.|If you are looking for an all night party facility, this place is not for you, but if you would like a family-friendly or a relaxed couples’ break, you will find yourself very much at home.

Pros: • Overall cleanliness of the hotel is very good • Beautiful surroundings • Great weather and climate in Puglia • Shuttle to nearby private beach • Crystal clear water at the beach Cons: • A few blunt and arrogant staff • Very little to do, has so much potential for more • Dinner options are limited especially for kids • Bar lacks any sort of atmosphere • Not your usual all-inclusive - plating your food • If you want to explore a car is needed I stayed at this hotel with my partner from 14/06/2025 - 28/06/2025. I had previously visited Italy twice using Airbnb but this was my partner's first time so I hoped this hotel would have been a great represenation of a fabulous country. For an All-Inclusive, there is a very limited amount of food especially for kids. I have visited the likes of Greece, Turkey, Egypt etc and all hotels would always have a section for kids food but at this hotel this doesn't exist. Furthermore, the hotel only has a maximum of 10 hot meal options which even for a smaller sized hotel isn't adequate. Considering this is a 4 star hotel in a country known for its cuisine, food would probably only be a 6/10.  Not being able to plate your own food also became very frustrating as the chefs would plate one of each food unless you asked for more (one night I asked for cauliflower and the chef only put 3 florets on my plate LOL). As a Polish Brit, I also noticed that 90% of the hotel guests were Italians or Germans which would be fine but the looks we would get and service we received from certain staff was disgusting. Germans would be loud with their kids as if they own the place but that really didn't come as a surprise. No respect for others at the hotel at all. Overall this hotel has so much potential to be an amazing stay. The Fitness Centre is essentially a hut with a few dumbbells and broken machinery, the food needs a massive glowup and the entertainment is lacklustre considering the space they have to use. Would I stay here again? If I got a deal for 50% off then yes as it was very quiet so relaxation wasn't a problem, but I would definitely spend a little more in order to have a more memorable holiday.
