"Relais Orso is a design accomodation located in the heart of Rome, just 200 metres from Piazza Navona square. Set in a 17th-century town house, its rooftop terrace offers panoramic views across the city. Designed by Italian architect Danilo Maglio, Relais Orso combines old with new. The original features of the townhouse include original floors and the 15th-century marble door. The property's stylish wine bar is set in the original cloisters. Opened in 2012, the property is just across the Tiber River from Castel Sant'Angelo. It is 600 metres from the Pantheon and an 8-minute walk from Rome's most exclusive shopping district on Via dei Condotti. Rooms and suites feature oak floors, and exposed red-brick walls. A continental breakfast buffet is served daily. With its open-plan kitchen and atmospheric fireplace, the restaurant serves a mix of Roman dishes and international cuisine. My friend and I just stayed here this past weekend and I think this place is best hotel when visiting Rome. The women at the front desk are so kind and sweet, and extremely accommodating! The room was decently sized for a good price in Rome and the location was stunning and while quiet, felt very safe. I didn't get to spend much time on the rooftop, but it was stunning! They also have hotel transportation available; extremely easy as they book it for you, and the driver I had was very kind and professional! I can't wait to go back and stay here!

What a gem! Our travel agent recommended this place and it was absolutely magnificent! Right off the busy road and tucked into an alley. The service was excellent! I wish we had more days in Rome so we could have taken advantage of the rooftop lounge. Would definitely stay here again!

Positive: Great location on a quiet side street well served by transit and easily walkable to major tourist destinations and delicious restaurants where the customers spoke Italian. The bed was very comfortable and the deck was a nice escape for a rooftop spritz! Negative: There was a bit of a perfume or scent when we first got to the room and when it was cleaned but opening the windows cleared it out.

We stayed four nights on our recent trip to Rome. The location is unbeatable - super close to everything, within 10 minutes to all main sites. Street was very quiet, which was very much appreciated for a good night sleep after full day of activities. Friendly staff with amazing roof top garden/hang out space with bar opened at night. The room is a little small but that's expected in Europe. They also do not have complimentary breakfast included, as they advertise on their website - not since Covid anyway. Otherwise, great stay!

Only negative to say is we only had 2 nights in this amazing hotel! We originally chose it based on its location and wow, it did not disappoint. Despite being close to major attractions, it was on a quiet street tucked away which made it a great retreat after 2 busy days in the crowds of Rome. The staff were kind; they securely stored our bags before we were able to check-in, gave us great restaurant suggestions for traditional Roman fare, and arranged a guaranteed transfer for us to the airport at the early time of 4:45! Having that transfer set up really put us at ease on the last 2 days of a very busy vacation. Room was cute, clean, and the rooftop bar was a fun bonus I didn’t even realize existed until check-in. If you’re coming to Rome, stay here!

Excellent boutique hotel in a strategic position. in a few meters you can visit Piazza Navona, Piazza di Spagna, the Pantheon and San Pietro. The terrace on the fifth floor is wonderful at all hours. |Everything with great attention to detail.| Very friendly staff, excellent cleanliness.

Fantastic place! Everything was great, the staff, the room was clean and it provided us with towels, hand soaps, body creams, body shower, even with a toothbrush and toothpaste! We slept very nice because it was quiet and in a few minutes there was a bus driving to the center.
