I've revisited this hotel a few times when I have to be in the neighborhood for my job. It's always a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The rooms are small but cosy and comfortable, all the necessary amenities are available (coffee and tea, bathrobes, slippers). Breakfast is quite varied with good cheese, jams, scrambled eggs and pancakes. Being vegetarian we enjoyed the vegan quiche on our last morning. Reception, breakfast and cleaning staff are always very friendly and welcoming.

This hotel had tons of character, and it was very clean. It was exactly what we were looking for! Very Parisian boutique hotel with exceptional customer service! The front desk staff was so accommodating and helpful in assisting us to get around the city, every interaction was personal and sincere. Although everyone was accommodating, Stefania was our favorite! :) She had a great personality! Our room was beautifully decorated, and the beds were very comfortable! Charm galore!! Bedding and wallpaper as well as every detail was elegant and thoughtfully chosen. There was a courtesy tray in the room which always had a goodie waiting for us, including in invitation for a small bottle of wine to have in the library! It was a lovely surprise; such gestures made our vacation feel incredibly special and memorable. I highly recommend this hotel when staying in the Latin Quarter's, this location is close to everything, and easy to walk around. We enjoyed being a few steps away from Luxembourg Gardens, grabbing a quick baguette and coffee, from any of the many local cafes. We also felt very safe in this area. If we ever make it back to Paris, we will not hesitate to rebook this hotel again. Sincerely, Jim & Cindy Zerr

This hotel provides a peaceful and quiet oasis where you can rest and recoup after a day of fighting crowds and/or standing in line while sightseeing or shopping. It has a great location on a quiet street which is close enough to walk to the many small shops and restaurants moments away, or to the many historic sights elsewhere in the Latin Quarter. The rooms are tastefully decorated and by Parisian standards, of comfortable size. We were a party of three so we chose a suite which included two rooms and a balcony which provided a breathtaking view of the Pantheon. It is quite a lovely place to sit and relax after a long day of exploring the city. But it is the staff that actually deserves more stars than the five provided. The Manager personally greeted us, and we arrived in the room to find a lovely hand written note from her and some fresh flowers. There is no greater gesture to welcome you to a hotel. She also checked in on us periodically during our stay to ensure we were pleased with our accommodations. When a slight problem did come up, she handled it efficiently, fairly and competently. We stayed five nights and after our first breakfast, the kitchen manager knew where we liked to sit and that we liked American coffee, and she made sure we received it all through our stay. This trip could have turned out differently if not for the assistance of Stefania at the Front Desk. We have met a lot of helpful staff in our many travels, but Stefania ranks up there as the very best. Every day, she went above and beyond and took excellent care of our group, offered suggestions, printed maps, and recommended bus and subway information, always with a welcoming and friendly smile. Her assistance in a matter that came up was invaluable, and she continued to handle it until the situation was resolved in our favor, which was well after our stay was over. She truly cares about her guests and does everything she can to ensure your visit is a pleasant and memorable one. That kind of service is very rare, and we are so very grateful to her and so appreciative of all she did which resulted in our stay being a wonderful experience. We highly, highly recommend this hotel and the exceptional care they provide for their valued guests.

Such a wonderful place to stay!! Great location, close to Luxembourg garden, restaurants just downstairs on the street. Quiet neighbourhood. We stayed in a room with balcony which was just perfect. Room was great, very clean and comfortable, beds and pillows were comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also great. We were so happy staying here and would definitely come back!

This is a lovely hotel on the left bank very close to all the main attractions like Notre Dame. Like most hotels in the left bank, the rooms were small. The Wi-Fi was almost nonexistent, the beds weren’t super comfortable and the shower was somewhat awkward to use. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Hôtel Relais Saint-Jacques is a fine hotel located 10 minutes by foot from Luxembourg Garden.Rooms are charming and soundproof. They have AC which is really rare in France. The staff is friendly and professional. Breakfast is good. 2 things they should correct to make the experience even more pleasant:- Have some music playing during breakfast - the safe should be securely attached to the wall otherwise what's the point, really?

Absolutely enjoyed our stay at this charming hotel. Most of all, we adored our host Stefania, who made our return from each trip around Paris a very welcomed one. I couldn’t recommend this special place any more highly!

Yelp
We stayed here in mid-September and it was cute and comfy. The designs with the bold wallpaper and antique furniture make each room feel special. But the main draw was getting to have a private balcony attached to our room, perfect for a lil pain au chocolat and ppl watching. Also the sweetest people work at the reception desk. I got randomly fixated on the Swiss-made wood-paneled minifridge that looked like it's been around since the 1970s, but you know what? It's probably better made than most fridges today. If there's something you need to keep cold just remember to leave a key card in the electricity slot so it keeps running. What we didn't love -- the two twin beds pushed together which gradually scootched apart. But to be fair the Deluxe room we booked said it would either have a double bed or two twins. The bathroom was interesting. There isn't a big enough shield to block the shower water so, when you shower, it's like you're journeying deep into the rainforest. Everything in the bathroom -- toiletries, towels -- gets soaked. All in all though, the location is great, the rooms are cute, and this is a somewhat reasonably priced way to do a Paris stay with a balcony.

Yelp
We stayed at Le Relais Saint Jacques for about 6 days in October. We were delighted by the accommodations and atmosphere. Loved our balcony with a view of the Pantheon. But most memorable was the attentive and warm staff!! As we were getting our bags from the car that delivered us, Violette, the front desk attendant at the time, came out to greet us and help us get our bags in. We arrived well before check-in time but when we asked if it was possible to get in our room early, she said for a small fee we could. She ushered us to the lounge to wait the few minutes until the room was being readied, offering us coffee and tea. A few minutes later she came in with a tray with espresso, tea, and a couple pastries and croissants. We could not have felt more welcomed and pampered. The fantastic service continued with Nadia - the breakfast host - where each morning she greeted us, tolerated our attempts to communicate in her language, and got to know our preferences. The breakfast buffet was perfectly tastefully laid out and tasty. We were treated to warm hugs on our last morning. And finally, when we were departing and trying to arrange an Uber ride, my App was not working. The front desk attendant at that time - Patricia - went above and beyond by helping us arrange a ride and keeping us updated. Merci beaucoup mesdames!!

Yelp
We recently stayed at the Relais Saint Jacques Hotel in Paris, France. We immensely enjoyed the beautifully decorated Checonceau Suite. The staff was courteous, efficient and helpful. They made us feel welcome in their country! The hotel was conveniently located near patisseries, restaurants and supermarkets.

Yelp
Misearable here! Internet is awful-its not working half of the time and apparently if you use any of Apple products-you have to relogin every 15-20mins. The "prestige" room is tiny, beds are small. Room is really old and obviously hasnt been remodeled/updated for a while. Staff dont really care-they listen to your complaints and do nothing. I've requested an upgrade, agreed to pay a higher rate-and the woman lied saying she is all booked-well, went on to book the bigger room online and they had one available..so she lied! Other guests complained of not having their fridge drinks refilled daily. Poor lighting in the room. The hotel provides pictures and they are completely illusional-you think you'll be given a nice room as seen on the picture-nooooo!!! Some roadside motels in the US are way better. Very disappointed. We dont mind paying a bigger price but this is just rip off. Do no trust the hotel-submitted photos. Dont be fooled.

Yelp
We stayed in the Hotel Relais Saint Jaques on our first trip to Paris for our honeymoon. This hotel is everything you would expect of when thinking of Paris...red décor with red roses around, crystal clear floors, an adorable wine bar, and an exceptional breakfast buffet where everything was really clean. It was located on a quiet and charming Parisian street with two adorable and traditional French bistros. The windows were long with beautiful flowers hanging from each one. This hotel is minutes away from the Latin Corner filled with bistros, patisseries, perfumeries, and crepe stands everything. Everything was so romantic like in a movie. All you needed was an acordion player to come out and start playing. Besides from a wonderful location, the service was exceptional. The rooms were spic and span, the breakfast was magnificent. It was a small buffet with very traditional French cuisine. A lady greeted us each morning to bring us our coffee and orange juice. Whenever we needed to confirm a tour or car service, someone at the front desk always got it done without any issues. This hotel is very close to the Luxembourg Gardens, which is a great place to have a picnic. If you are looking for a romantic, quaint, charming, and clean boutique hotel in Paris with a traditional Parisian experience, than this place is for you. We recommend Loree Du Parc on the street of the hotel! Everyone there was so helpful with menu items and you couldn't get more of a Parisian culinary experience than this.

Yelp
we had a very nice stay at this hotel and would definitely stay there again. it is a little on the pricey side, but by going during off-season, you can get decent pricing. paris has a metro/subway, and in addition, has a train system called RER.you can take the RER B line, then transfer to the metro lines this hotel is just off the RER Line B at the LUXEMBOURG stop. From the main airport in paris (charles de gaul), it's very easy. You simply take the RER B line which goes directly to LUXEMBOURG stop (about a 40 minute ride). you can buy a ticket (about 10 euros) using credit cards, but not all machines take credit cards, so recommend having some Euros before you arrive in paris. before going, study this map of the subway and RER train lines. after a day or so, you'll get the hang of it. if you don't, most people will help you if you ask 'parle vous anglais?' first http://www.aparisguide.com/maps/metro.htm we only had one issue, which wasn't a big deal, but we got back from dinner at 1 am and the door man i think fell asleep so even though we rang the bell, he wasn't opening the door for about 5 minutes.
