Relais San Giuliano

We recently stayed at Relais San Giuliano as a family of six, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. This charming boutique hotel exceeded every expectation.||The rooms are spacious, bright, impeccably clean, and each one has its own unique character. It felt like we were staying in a beautifully restored private estate with all the comforts of a luxury hotel.||Every meal we had—from breakfast to dinner—was outstanding. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere throughout the property was warm and welcoming.||A very special thank you to Enrico, the guest relations manager, who went above and beyond to take care of every detail. His attentiveness and kindness made our stay even more special.||Relais San Giuliano is a true gem! We cannot wait to return!

Had the most amazing time here - couldn't recommend it enough! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and full of amazing design features - but the stars of the show are the staff - they were incredibly thoughtful and helpful from day 1 to check out :) This place really is like an oasis, with everything within driving distance to explore, so you can concentrate on taking in everything the East coast of Sicily has to offer! Tip 1: If you get the chance to book a table in the hotel restaurant DO IT! The food was out of this world! Tip 2: The staff have some great suggestions for places to visit and eat - if you want to avoid the tourist traps and find little local gems, they know the places to be ;)

What an incredible lush and cool oasis this is in the otherwise dry heat of eastern Sicily at this time of year. Just half an hour from Catania airport, 30 mins to the Etna cable car (Etna cable car) and 45 mins to Taormina, Relais San Giuliano is the perfect place from which to explore the main sights of eastern Sicily without being surrounded by the crowds. The entire property is beautifully appointed and I absolutely loved the stately yet "lived in" feel this place gave. There are so many wonderful books and beautiful art to explore throughout the property. There's also a saltwater pool to cool off in, a decent gym and a lovely spa with sauna. Food was excellent - as clichéd as these dishes are (and this sounds), the arancini, pasta a la norm, tiramisu were the best we had on our visit to Sicily. Service was top notch - no request was too small or large for the Relais San Giuliano team.

We had a great time at Relais San Giuliano. The breakfast was 10/10, the food in the hotel restaurant was some of the tastiest we ate in Sicily (and we spent the whole week trying incredible food!) and the staff went above and beyond for everyone. Small hotel, relaxed but luxurious feel, and the perfect place to explore Sicily from.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Relias San Juliono before flying out of Catania!||The hotel is incredible. A beautiful facility and pool that allowed us to truly relax. We enjoyed our large, stone balcony. And from one area, we could even see the smoke from Mount Etna...||The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the food for breakfast and dinner was top notch.||Not only was the hotel outstanding, but the small non-touristy town was a refreshing perspective of Italian culture. ||Right across the street was a Coop grocery store. And a short walk into the small town offered a nice stroll through a garden, pastry shops, and a beautiful church. And almost no one spoke English...||We also visited the Benanti winery located right across the street and really enjoyed our experience. The staff helped is book a hiking tour of Etna that made for a great day.||We are so glad we found this place to conclude our trip to Sicily.

We had the most wonderful 6 nights here. Everything was perfect from the hotel’s beautiful design to the delicious breakfasts and food. My wife had a spa treatment which she said was among the best she’s ever had. Our room was perfect, with a gorgeous balcony.|But every hotel is really only as good as its staff and I’m happy to say that we could not have been looked after better by Enrico, Irine, Ludovica, Davido, Marianna and everyone else (please forgive my misspellings!). They are a fabulous team for whom nothing was too much trouble. I can’t praise the Relais San Giuliano highly enough; it was an absolute DREAM. ❤️🙏

A wonderful example of professionalism in hospitality! Immaculate in every way with attention to detail on every level. It’s an oasis of calm, where guests can relax without intrusion. The staff are so considerate …housekeeping, restaurant, front of house…they all know instinctively! The restaurants are quite incredible, with Il Palici providing us with the best dining experience ever. I could continue, but less is more! Don’t hesitate to book you stay here.
