Relais San Lorenzo

Centrally located period residence located on 2nd floor level. Super facilities and availed of an upgrade to a suite which was stunning with a sitting room and terrace and bathroom. Tea/coffee making and drawing room facilities also at our disposal if required. Bag drop on arrival and departure facilitated and Sarah who was really attentive gave restaurant recommendations and assisted us with taxi transfer. Top marks to Sarah for this assistance. Will hopefully be back!

Lucca is a wonderful location from which to explore Tuscany. Florence is only an hour away on the train, and we enjoyed the relative peace of the town. The hotel is above a museum and feels safe and homely. The beds are super comfortable and there is an air conditioning in the room in case you need it. It was in the low 30'C's when we were there so we used it from time to time. Lovely large clean bathroom with a powerful shower. Breakfast was included (traditional Italian) in the price. The hotel is within the city walls, close to restaurants and cafes, and around a 12 minute walk to the station. Well worth the money.

The Relais San Lorenzo is at the heart of the old city of Lucca, in a elegant antique building that is also the home of a museum of an ancient roman house. It is a beautiful setting to match the city. The large rooms are decorated with antique furniture and have a large bathroom which adds up for a very nice stay. A good breakfast is served in the elegant dining room, which, together with the house lounge, are fitted to the whole place atmosphere. A very nice stay at a very nice location in an even nicer city.

Look no further, this is the best B&B in Lucca. Great value. This is my second stay at San Lorenzo. Will stay there again on my next visit. It’s outstanding in every way. The rooms are very clean, great showers, very comfortable beds. Breakfast is plentiful and includes eggs if you wish. Daniela and staff are warm and welcoming and very helpful with information. It is centrally located, just steps from the Main Street, Via Filllungo, yet on a quiet street. I highly recommend it, you won’t be disappointed.

This splendid establishment within the walls of Lucca is just the perfect venue for an excellent Tuscan experience. The property is housed in a former palazzo which exudes the class of the past. The modern ensuite bathrooms however afford todays modern convenience. The fact that there are only five bedrooms on offer coupled with the large exquisitely decorated sitting room lends to the feeling of a private and relaxing venue.||Breakfast is well varied. What really sets Relais San Lorenzo apart though are the wonderful people. It is rare to be hosted by people of such grace and kindness. Polite, very friendly and always willing to help or advise. They are beyond superb.||We have just had the most perfect stay of five nights of sheer enjoyment and can absolutely without question give the highest recommendation to just book and see for yourself. I booked a last minute overnight stay in Lucca for my wife and I during our family holiday in Tuscany (the children stayed with their grandparents). We found this wonderful bed and breakfast on TripAdvisor, and it didn't disappoint. It's perfectly located in the centre of the old town within easy reach of all the sites, and it provides that wonderful balance between old world charm and modern amenities and service. ||||We arrived early evening, and drove straight into the old town. Apparently you're not allowed to do that without permission, but as soon as we arrived at the hotel, our host Daniella arranged permission for us. So no Italy jail this time! She also arranged parking for us in the internal courtyard of the building for only €15 - a very good arrangement in Lucca.||||Our bedroom was quite small but nicely decorated, and it came with a beautiful large bathroom. We didn't have a dinner reservation (unwise in Lucca on a Saturday night). Daniella tried several places but they were all booked. She then gave us some recommendations to go and look at, and we found this amazing place called Osteria dal Manzo, and had a lovely dinner.||||Breakfast in the morning was simple but excellent - freshly baked pastries, including these incredible wholemeal croissants with apple inside, freshly cooked eggs, fruit, and coffee.||||All in all, a great little B&B with excellent service, and a fabulous breakfast. What more could you want?||||Well, we did get more. Upon arriving back to our family about an hours drive from Lucca, we had an email from Daniella saying we'd left one of my wife's sandals in the room. We gave Daniella our address and she promptly posted it back to us. A really nice touch. Well done Relais San Lorenzo.

A beautiful and very elegant B&B in the heart of Lucca . Daniela and Michele are such gracious hosts, and they made our stay such a memorable one . The room was very comfortable and spacious with a seperate sitting area and private outdoor terrace, beds were super comfortable . We can't say enough about how satisfied we were with our stay here at the Relais San Lorenzo . So many nice touches like fresh flowers in the room and brandy with other refreshments in the lounge area in the evening and such a wonderful breakfast each morning to start the day of exploring Lucca . Thank you Daniela and Michele for everything ! Hope to visit again in the near future !

Everything about this hotel is excellent from the warm welcome from the staff Diane and Olivia to the beautiful room.. It was our 22nd Anniversary and they made the room look sooo romantic with petals and a beautiful rose 🌹. The location was perfectly…we enjoyed the bar downstairs H & G Coffee Lounge (cocktails amazing). Lucca such a stunning place.

Wonderful lodging in the town center! The house's parking lot very small, but saves the walk from the public parkings further away. Our room was clean, spacious, and airy, we loved it. Decorated in a fitting retro italian style and equipped with air condition and a small cooler. The service was perfect and the breakfast buffet italian style with lots of cakes. Highly recommended!

What a lovely place and comfortable stay! Daniela is such a gracious hostess. We stayed in beautiful Lucca for two days and had a huge room with a private sitting area and terrace. Everything was spotlessly clean and convenient, with motion-activated lights. The staff was lovely and helpful and breakfast in the communal area was great. Don't be put off by the staircase you have to climb to get there; this is a wonderful spot. We would absolutely stay again and hope to come back to Lucca.
