Relishes Cafe

This food is 10/10. We came here two days in a row and it’s super safe for gluten allergy / celiacs. They use a separate fryer. Get the fries!! Also the crab cakes are wonderful. My not GF free partner got the lamb burger and said it was amazing too. Their coffee is strong too. Love this spot!

Very friendly staff and excellent breakfast. We took the wanaka (1st option on the menu) but there was a slight mistake. They offered a coffee for the wait when we were already super satisfied and no complain on our end. We very much appreciate the gesture!

Great food, loved the coffee! Serving staff were super friendly, Nat in particular was a gem, she was SO happy to make menu choice recommendations that were incredibly solid! We enjoyed the big brekky X 2, some excellent coffee that was good and strong and finished off with some tasty sweeties with our second coffees. Place had great views of the lake and mountains if you were happy to brave the cold, outside, we weren't and chose to sit by the open fire.... Great for young families and all comer atmosphere, full of happy servers and great food. Should be more than a 4.5 Google ranking in my view....

We dined at Relishes Cafe on Ardmore Street in Wanaka and had a better than expected dinner here. Opening hours are 7.30am to 10.30pm daily. Seating area is casual and nice. We liked the decor, fireplace and overall cozy feel to the place. Service was friendly and attentive during our meal. Menu is a typical range of NZ dishes. We enjoyed the bowl of NZ style chowder as well as our mains. The glazed and smoked salmon was grilled nicely and served on a bed of pea mint and feta risotto. The fillet was fresh and tasted very good, it went well with the risotto. For our other main, we enjoyed the duck confit served with butternut puree and a candied walnut salad. This was a pretty good duck leg, similarly complemented well by the salad side. Both mains were really good, worth reordering. In the end, we left a bit surprised how much we enjoyed our dinner at Relishes. Had hopes for a good dinner, expectations were surpassed on the evening. We'd definitely eat here again during future trips to Wanaka.

Nice coffee! We had flat white and long black. Both were good. My fritters were quite nice with green beans, avocado, and assorted greens. Big breakfast plate was okay. Two bread slices were served but they were soaked into oil from the egg. It would've been nice if they were served separately.

I tried the three grain porridge it was awesome. Very fresh and optimum quantity. Would definately recommend if you are looking for vegetarian breakfast options.
