Remai Modern

Remai Modern is a cozy and quiet place where you can walk through and take time to reflect on your day, your ideas, your life, and more. Admission is free, and if you enjoy your visit, you can easily make a donation by cash or debit card. On the second floor, there’s a beautiful long hallway where you can pause to look out at the river and enjoy the amazing views. You’ll also find many modern art galleries filled with paintings, photography, short films, and other visual art. I highly recommend everyone to visit Remai Modern and spend a few hours in this wonderful place.

A very interesting place to visit! There is a large collection of art to view from local artists to international collections as well. It is a very cool place to check out if you're just looking to clear your mind and spend some time in a different atmosphere. The art pieces all around the museum were beautiful!

A masterpiece of modern art and culture! The galleries seamlessly blend traditional and contemporary arts. The art store inside is a must visit and onsite restaurant provides delicious food with great views of the riverside. The balcony views of the riverside are breathtaking and perfect place for watching the sunset.Amber places for relaxing and enjoying the art.A truly unforgettable experience!

Wow! A big airy space where you have room to breathe and appreciate the great collection and gift shop. The rooftop space is also phenomenal and we were lucky to do rooftop painting there.

AMAZING exhibit on the top floor by Shelley Nori. I was absolutely enthralled by it. Visiting soon? I strongly encourage you to check it out, it’s the entire top floor. Some exhibits had some spectacular paintings, whereas some were just…modern art if you know what I mean. 😅 Explore the whole thing, give yourself 1.5 hours at LEAST. That’s if you’re someone like me and you like to try and see every art piece. You’ll find some stuff you love for sure. Gift shop is random and expensive but definitely pretty and curated, I’d say it’s a LOT of art supplies. Admission is by donation for 18+ and free for 18 and under, and parking can be tricky downtown but it’s worth it. Overall, I absolutely loved this art gallery. Feels like a gorgeous gem in the middle of the prairies :)

This is a nice museum. Their focus is indigenous artists and other modern artists. I like how it is not too big that you feel like you are running through the whole museum. You can take your time and immerse yourself in the artworks. We came during the week and it was nice and quiet with a few groups of elementary kids doing the tour.

I was at Remai this past weekend for my niece's wedding there. I **highly recommend** this place for such an event. All staff, from start to finish, in every aspect were amazingly wonderful and kind. Set up/take down/food/bar/security/and every position behind the scenes.They all knew customer service, and exceeded what they needed to do when we encountered hiccups (of our own issues, not Remai's) to keep things stress-free for us. As well, the food was delicious! If you want a site with a great backdrop view do check out this venue, you will not be disappointed!

Excellent art museum. Great combination between local and international artists. Of particular note is the strong representation of Inuit artists. Worth visiting.
