I've been counting down the days until their reopening to have the chance to finally visit this place! We arrived for lunch on a Tuesday to find the lovely and dog friendly patio packed. Thankfully, inside, there was not a long line, and our ordering was quick.
Compared to photos of menu items before, the menu offerings have been reduced since reopening. I was glad to see the chicken salad crossaint sandwich ($10) remained, though. We ordered one along with a club sandwich ($13), the Amsterdam Fog drink and cookie combo ($7), and a Tennessee honeysuckle tea ($4). Went out to find a table that had become available on the patio, and our drinks and food were all out to us less than 10 minutes later.
This was one of the best Amsterdam (London) fogs I've had. They do tea very well. The sandwiches were good also, and I'm so happy they have light lunch options, but I'd perhaps only come again for cafe drinks and their in-house made sweet treats (which they have plenty of).
As many have already commented, it is unfortunate that much of the original interior character was stripped, and what remains looks like a remodel straight from HGTV. In trying to be understanding, though, as time wears on, it's inevitable that buildings will be in need of some kind of update to function efficiently. I'll add my name to the list of people who plead to Rembrandt's that whatever you do, please do not touch the patio and all its cozy charm.
