14 Best Spas in San Francisco | Condé Nast Traveler

"Inside the bustling St. Regis in SOMA, this massive spa is prepared to pamper. Make a day of it—treatments menus are lengthy and expansive—and spend some time poolside while you're there." - Elise Craig

Went here to have a relaxing start of the day and to have brunch. Staff were really helpful and friendly. I made 2 requests NO lavender oil with my message, and paid extra for deep tissue massage. I got lavender/peppermint oil and no deep tissue massage. The very nice lady had really rough skin on her hands - I thought she was using some sort of tissue. It was very disruptive and irritating. I really didn't want to say anything but I did not receive what I paid for. I went there to have a really great experience. I liked how they greeted my husband and I - super nice. My massage was not good. PLEASE polish your skin to remove dryness or cracked skin and smooth it out. Having rough skin is very unpleasant. I've been thinking about my experience since the massage was complete and I just couldn't say something. This was our time to celebrate and be pampered for an hour or even more if I had enjoyed the massage. I would love to come back but I can't because the experience was not great. Too expensive for rough hands :-(

Not great. Went here with my girlfriend to enjoy a relaxing afternoon. The facilities aren't great, most of them are gender seperated and quite small. In addition they're situated across two floors, and every time I went from the pool to the sauna or back, I needed to ask someone from the staff to let me in as the doors were locked, quite annoying. Be careful with 'upgrades' when getting a treatment, my girlfriend unknowingly upgraded to a more expensive facial without being told so. The staff seemed a bit clueless as well, we were told they would close early due to Thanksgiving (which is understandable), but different employees gave us different closing hours.

If you are staying in the hotel and want a treatment, this is a convenient option. If you are trying to have a relaxing spa day experience and you're local to San Francisco, there are much nicer places available. The spa is clean and nice, but nothing that blows you away. The sauna Jacuzzi area is definitely not meant for a group experience. If you want to hang out with some girlfriends and do a spa day, go elsewhere.

Massages are very expensive but not worth it. Been to several SPAs around the world and my wife said it is the worst massage she experienced. The music is terrible and needs to change (music should be ambiant and relaxing not thought provoking and vocals). The therapists should check in and take cues from customers to ensure they are enjoying their massage experience.

I went here for a manicure and Linh did a fantastic job. She was very nice and had great attention to detail. I would visit her again! Highly recommend. They had a great collection of nude gel colors.

Amazing Spa for the best Luxurious spa treatments! If you go during the week it has less people and it's like you have the spa to yourself!!! Wonderful friendly staff!!

Mediocre spa and services. I used $150 out of a $500 gift card. They have the gift card number as well as the order number, but claim unless i have the actual card, i can't redeem the rest of my card. Rip Off.

Treatment rooms a bit noisy but the spa makes that up.
