Wanted something I couldn't find in my current city and gave this a go. I am impressed!! I asked the poor woman behind the til how she was doing and she smiled, but said "exhausted." The food is absolutely astounding and the chai is second to none. Authentic, delicious and nutritious - especially for someone like me who avoided gluten and dairy! To drink, I had an almond milk vanilla rooibos chai tea latte. Oh my goodness, incredible! I had the butter chicken wrap with hummus and whatever sauce they used , my goodness it was all so delicious!! Thank you!

Google
The flavour of the Kashmiri chai was great! The temperature was lukewarm and very quickly turned cold. There were caffeinated and decaffeinated options for chai; multiple dairy and non dairy milk options. The food was nice and hot and flavourful. The wrap was nicely crisped and the chicken was perfectly cooked to tender juiciness. The presentation of the food and drinks was simple but pleasing. The bathroom was unpleasant. It required a long journey down the hall, only to discover that a passcode was required to get it. Once inside, there were 2 stalls, however the sign instructed to lock the main door. The stall did not lock and the door rested awkwardly in front of the toilet. A fluorescent light was flashing in a strobe-like manner. There was graffiti all over.

Definitely recommend the remedy cafe on Jasper ave

Visiting from Calgary and stopped by Remedy Café for their gluten-free options. The staff assured me food prep is safe for celiacs, with a separate prep area, toaster, and utensils. Tried the coconut chicken wrap on a GF wrap, Punjabi style — absolutely flavorful and filling. Saved half for later! Great experience and will definitely be back. Shoutout to the server for being knowledgeable of gluten free practices and a stellar recommendation for my wrap!

FIND A DIFFERENT PLACE! FAIR WARNING. Baristas are inexperienced and very rude. Purchased a dirty chai and a Vietnamese coffee as per my regular. The chai was definitely not a dirty one, and they completely forgot to make the coffee... they even made themselves a drink before I had to remind them of my PURCHASE. They spent most of the time in idle chatter back talking and badmouthing the current clientele and people who come through. It could be heard loud and clear. They also incorrectly made the Vietnamese coffee, and yet I was still charged $16 for two coffees. No apologies for forgetting about my order, just a snear, as if to say "how dare you". I will never step foot in that remedy again. Terrible

Google
I always get the same order from Remedy cafes and never got disappointed until this time. During my 10 mins class break I got my half sweet mocha and rushed back to class. When I took my first sip I noticed something was off. It almost felt like there was not enough coffee and the milk was smelling and tasting awkward. I waited for the next break which was only 5 mins. I ran back to Remedy with my full cup and tried to communicate. But the person’s attitude was very disrespectful and disappointing. She told right away oh yea you got coffee like 3 hours ago, which was actually less than 1,5 hours and I had no time to come back for it as I was in class and I brought the full cup which was obvious that the coffee was not drinkable. And then she started asking what’s wrong whatever I said she tried to show me wrong saying like it looks fine, it smells fine and argued with me. All I was expecting was an apology for a mistake she made preparing that coffee and make up that mistake but all I got was being accused of lying. When I said this to her she got defensive and said if she wants she doesn’t have to serve me and just refund me meanwhile the other barista was preparing the coffee. Ruined my morning mood. You pay for something to enjoy, there is a mistake, and you are being accused for the mistake and get disrespectful attitude.

The kashmiri Chai with pistachios and rose petals was amazing though it was a bit on the sweeter side. So the next time, I asked for half the sugar and it was perfect. Service is slow but I think it's worth the wait. Prices are a bit steep for the drinks but not bad for an occasional treat.

Google
Great Kashmiri chai and such a delicious chole bhature! Since the chai is on the sweet side, I always order it half sweet, and you can get it with a nondairy milk. The chole bhature is a recommendation from a friend and it’s the only thing I order from here as it’s seriously delicious. I didn’t quite like the samosa so I’d skip it if you don’t care for it. Employees are always friendly and helpful. Could get busy during peak hours but take out is always an option as well.

Yelp
This local chain is a favourite cafe option in Edmonton. They have several locations, all of which are open and welcoming and have a great selection of foods, drinks, and desserts. They easily cater to vegan and/or gluten free dietary requirements, and don't even charge more to make a chai with almond milk instead of regular milk. I gather from the menus that they're originally Indian themed; a lot of the food is Indian/Pakistani, and their specialty drink is a traditional sweet chai tea. But they have lots of coffee options too and lots of other food as well. Great place to come to catch up with friends, grab some lunch, or treat yourself to a nice drink or dessert any time.

Yelp
Remedy has always felt like home to me and having moved out of the city, I wanted to come back to that feeling. The cashmiri chai is my usual go to but I was so disappointed when I went back - the drink tasted really watered down and the quality has just gone down significantly. Really disappointed

Yelp
Had the opportunity to try Remedy Cafe while catching up with a friend. I decided to indulge in a hot chocolate and a gluten-free coconut cake. The coconut cake was the standout for me, offering a perfect balance of sweetness and coconut flavor--a delightful treat that I would recommend to anyone visiting. However, the hot chocolate was less impressive. It was not as hot as expected, which diminished the experience slightly, especially given its promising taste profile. My friend ordered a brownie and a turmeric latte, and she was quite pleased with her selections. The brownie was apparently rich and satisfying, and the turmeric latte added an interesting twist to her usual choices, leaving her happy with her order.

Yelp
Not our kind of Indian place. Tried the Falafel subzi wrap - didn't like it :( They do have 6 different types of Chais.

Yelp
I can't speak to the food here, but the place is a great meeting spot for first dates, business chats, and much more. Prices are great and they offer many vegan options, including various milk alternatives and a coconut whipped cream. Service was fast and friendly, and their coffees are pretty delicious. Also have the option to make any drink spiked which is nice ;) I recommend the boozy vanilla latte!
google avatar

Mahnoor R.

Yelp
The service was really good and fast but the drink I got wasn't good. I got Kashmiri chai but it tasted more like a pistachio latte.

Yelp
I'm going to go with a 3/5 for this location. I love Remedy and will always be a patron, this location I won't visit unless someone specifically asks me too. I think part of the reason is that it is SO busy, and because of the business the tables, floors, and bathrooms can get kind of gross. There is a lot of foot traffic at this location and that may be the reason why. Depending on the time you come it can be difficult to find seating. I recommend coming in the later evening or during the day. Morning and dinner/lunch time are peak hours, so you may have trouble finding a seat. Also for those people driving, there isn't any free parking until after 6 PM. The food here is as good as any other Remedy. The staff seem to get the food/drinks out quickly because they know how busy it is! I think my fave location is still the 124th one just because I think the atmosphere is a bit more cozy.
google avatar

Matt S.

Yelp
This is unfortunate, because I have been going to various Remedy's for Years. A Friend and I walked to this Location specifically, just 15min before they close to get a drink for our walk. The girl taking our order asked where my "mask was?", I stated exempt, and she said I had to leave. So apparently this whole mandate isn't about health, as I do have health issues preventing me from wearing a mask. This whole ordeal could have been handled more professionally, instead of shaming me for not being able to wear a mask

Yelp
I definitely enjoy the Remedy Cafe brand. This location is more popular than others and you can expect it to be a bit busy during certain hours. I find that the music can be quite annoying, negatively effecting the ambiance of the whole cafe -- it should be tuned down a little. I think their menu is great: along with good beverages they serve spectacular Indian food among other dishes! I would say it definitely takes a more trendy approach to Indian cuisine by incorporating it into wraps and sandwiches. You must try the Chai Tea Latte: it's one of the best I've had for a long time and the London Fog is really good as well. The Kashmiri Tea is also amazing! The presentation was appealing and it tasted light and fresh. It had an enjoyable floral bouquet of jasmine or citrus blossom on it which was a super nice addition. As for food goes, the Butter Chicken and the Lamb Curry are delicious. I found the Butter Chicken to be super rich with really tender chicken pieces. The Lamb Curry was well-seasoned and amazing especially when paired with Naan or Basmati Rice -- I really appreciated how these sides are included! The vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options are also great which is a huge plus. I found that compared to other locations, this one was definitely less maintained (especially the washrooms). However, I enjoyed the customer service as a whole. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you want to eat great Indian food in a more relaxed and casual environment.

Yelp
I know Remedy has expanded quite a bit in the Edmonton area. If you have had a not so great experience at one, you may want to try another. Because as I have learned, they are all pretty different. As usual, staff and customer service have everything to do with it. I like the downtown one and would go here again for sure. I really liked the staff here much more than the University 109st location. They also seem to get things right more often here at the downtown. Location is great and pretty accessible. Food is ok, yeah, just ok. But mostly I would come here for the drinks.
google avatar

Danielle P.

Yelp
Chai is life and Remedy makes the best in the city. As a student I lived at the 109st location but not with the renovations it's impossible to find a seat and the line ups can mean a half an hour wait. The food is quick and it's ok. Not the best Indian food but there's some unique items you can't get elsewhere like the butter chicken wrap and the sticky sweet sauce. You can make your food Punjabi style as well which as far as I can tell means adding onions. The menu offers reasonably priced and quick meals. The masala dhosa is worth checking out. It's a crispy lentil crepe with a savoury stuffing and sauces to dip.

Yelp
Love Remedy. In the heart of downtown this Remedy isn't too far from Shaw Conference centre, and right across from the Bay/Enterprise square LRT station. Here is where I hear they make the samosas so order them here as they are supposed to taste the best. Art that's always changing on the walls, full tables, and tasty chai- that's Remedy. The bright paint makes this space feels so artsy. Parking just south there is some parkade parking and when you hit it at a good time there is the occasional street parking too. We always end up paying for parking when we come to this Remedy. Got to put a shout out for our favourite dish- the Chana masala, a spicy chickpea delight with naan is our absolute favourite. And the most unique chai that is sure to surprise you is the Kashmiri chai made with pistachios and topped with some rose petals. You have to try it at least once. Ps- don't forget to get a stamp card- every 7 drinks get the 8th one for free.

Yelp
What I love best about Remedy is how late it's open, midnight 7 days a week!! Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Remedy is the perfect place to pick up a quick snack, a great affordable meal or a delicious Chai while enjoying a comfortable place to sit and indulge in a great book! My favourite is their Kashmir Chai, caffeine free and deliciously creamy! Their food never disappoints. Very affordable and always delicious! Most dishes are very shareable and with so many to choose from you'll want them all! Lots of great Indian inspired dishes are sure to please any palate. A great bonus is that Remedy is also licensed, so when all those other places on the Ave are packed you can enjoy a cold beer on their quaint little patio.

Yelp
I keep coming back! My first time was indimidating. This is an Indian and Pakistani food and drink (and liquor!) cafe. I was intimidated because I was not familiar with the names of the dishes. I had no clue what most of the menu meant! My first order had the word "chicken" in it, and after one taste I was hooked. Remedy is totally known for their large Chai tea menu. Their chai is drool worthy with flavor. They also have a huge selection of tea and speciality sodas. I've since ordered several drinks from there. They do have almond and soy alternatives for drinks. The milk shakes are to die for too! They should also be known for their tasty food options. On my second visit, I took the time to Google menu food items so that I knew what to order. It did not disappoint. The cafe also has an amazing selection of gluten free and vegan desserts. Although I'm not a person with dietary restrictions, I still order vegan dishes and am at awe on how decadent the desserts are. The place can get busy. So it's also loud. If you order food they will bring it to your table. The bathrooms have codes on the doors! Ask for the code so you can get in! So why not 5 stars? Occasionally I get sticker shock when I get rung up. And, as I am a creature of habit I order the same thing often. The consistency of what is served isn't always there.
google avatar

Yelp
Thr staple remedy cafe. Always makes a perfect chai latte!! Their samosas (veggie/potato) are to die with they come with a great sweet saucd. Go with a friend 2 large chai latters and 4 samosas fir 16 dollars! Nice little treat! Beware of the rundown bathrooms (ask for a key) only reason im giving this place a 4/5 instead of 5/5

Yelp
We ended up visiting this spot to get out of the rain one evening (since that's all it did this summer) and ended up really liking it! We only shared a slice of cake and some tea while we were there, but we've heard good things about everything else they have to offer here too, be it teas to full on Indian inspired meals and desserts. The atmosphere is laid back and plays good music you can enjoy while hanging out with friends for a good time all around :)

Yelp
Brilliant Indian cuisine with an Edmonton twist. A long standing institution of the Edmonton food scene which started out in a small cafe by the university has now blossomed into numerous locations around town. Great chai along with a number of other signature dishes. On this occasion we had the butter chicken wrap which had amazing juicy chicken nestled inside the curried wrap. For this lunch meal we also ordered the masala dosa which came with a variety of sauces and side dishes. One of the lesser known menu items but amazing nonetheless. Have been coming here for a few years now and certainly will be back again!

Yelp
My sister's Veganism is rubbing off on me... I am starting to fall for Mr. Vegan... His Dashing good looks, those classic traditional styles with a hint modern day chic. And you know he's totally fit, fine, and healthy... too hard to resist... He's an acquired taste but if you acquire him he definitely has you hooked. Oh and did I mention he smells divine? Tuesday night and my sister and I are starving for some wholesome comfort vegan Food. We drove around downtown and everything seems to be closed or closing. Then we thought Remedy! They must be open. We drove over and sure enough the bright open sign was on, thank goodness. This is not our first visit here, we have been going to Remedy south side for over 10 years so that's how we know that they must be open in downtown. You first walk in and you know this place is the happening place. The rainbow of people from all walks of life has made their way over and I'm guessing it's for the chai or food. Our first reaction was to go to the dessert window and see what treats are displayed. It never fails how good the dessert look and sound, plus there are vegan desserts that look too yummy. We decided to get food first (our stomachs were crying from neglect). I got the vegan butter chicken with naan and my sister got a vegan dish but I am so sorry I forgot what she had but it looked good( I posted a pic). We also got their famous Chai. I highly recommend dining in because I think the mugs are so much bigger than the "to go" cups. Our Chai was hot, warm, delicious, and full of crunchy almonds and coconut bits. Oh to die for... It did not take long for our meals to arrive. My vegan butter chicken smelled so good and the naan was fluffy, light, and easy to eat with my sauce. I know my sister loved hers because I just saw her inhale her meal. By the end of it I was ultimately full that I could not be tempted by dessert. This place it's lovely, from the unique staff to the colourful patrons and decor. The food will always be the hearty comfort vegan meal that makes you're belly sing and the chai is amazing. If you're passing by grab a dessert it would not disappoint. This is our go to place, whether it be the south side or the downtown location it never fails to impress. I will always come back.

Yelp
I cannot say enough about this place. I'm a university student who cannot study where it's quiet (a library, my house etc). Remedy is the PERFECT atmosphere for me to study in. I'm not kidding when I say that on some of my remedy visits I have stayed there for upwards of 7+ hours to study. Sometimes I get worried the staff will get upset by this, considering I'm taking up a seat for quite a while, but they've NEVER complained. The food is absolutely delicious (falafel sabji wrap is my fave). They just increased their prices but I say it is WORTH IT. The amount of food you get is well worth what you pay. Oh yes, and their famous chai lattes are as good as you've probably heard. They offer so many vegan options/alternatives and are so accommodating to dietary needs. The staff are all so pleasant, and very hardworking. I'm so proud of remedy. Every time I see that they're opening at a new location I feel so happy for them. They deserve it, and I hope they continue to flourish in the years to come! Please, if you haven't, check this place out!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I tried the famous Kashmiri chia. It's really lovely and REALLY hot! Tasty but over sweetened. The sweetness masks the flavour. Ask to less sugar and you'll be good as gold. It's wonderful.
google avatar

Marsha J.

Yelp
First time at this location, I was so happy they had lamb because I was craving it and it came with rice or naan, I chose naan and the meal was delicious! The lamb was really tender and the curry was just really tasty with a mild spice, so glad I popped in here, I also had a iced Americano, you just order off the board and they give you a pager, plenty of windows which makes it look like a nice open space, nice variety of food and desserts and drinks, fast service, I will be back for sure
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
Service was fine but the washrooms need some attention. The tp holder was empty exept for a roll on the back of the toilet. Neither stall can lock. I had to try and grab TP from a huge roll while also holding the door closed with my other hand, hoping nobody else walked in.The garbage is over flowing and the paper towel despencer isn't set up at all.It seems like maybe they lost all the keys to the bathroom utilities or nobody bothers to maintain the washroom here.

Yelp
I was impressed by this Remedy Cafe. They have lots of food and drink options including alcohol and non-alcohol drinks: beer, wine, non-alcoholic beer, yerba mate, kombucha, jarritos, all type of juice drinks, etc. Vegan and gluten-free food and desserts are also available. I bought a tea and surprised with the many different sweeteners you can choose from: organic coconut palm sugar, regular sugar, organic sugar, maple sugar, splenda, sugar crystals, honey, cane sugar, molasses, etc! I had never seen a place with so many options available! Wow, I'll definitely come back to this place in the near future.

Yelp
I was so nervous about the opening of a new Remedy. My beloved Remedy. Quirky, tasty Remedy, location of my first date with my husband and many, many cake dates with friends over the years, where you always leave smelling like butter chicken (mmm, butter chicken). I loved Health Fare that was in this space before, but even though I was bummed about losing it, and I was skeptical of a new Remedy, I was very, very excited. I stopped in for the first time about a week after they opened up and I'm happy to say I've returned many times since. The space is definitely brighter and more open than Remedy #1's cramped interior, but it hasn't lost any of its charm. It's actually a fantastic study spot or place to chill because of the natural light and cast of characters that are always around (both customers and staff). My go-to is the butter chicken dish and a Kashmiri Chai. I don't know why they started adding flower petals (or whatever they are) to the drink. It's just weird. But it's still a tasty, creamy, hot, near-perfect sip. And of course, the butter chicken (to stay or to go) is the most delicious thing on the planet. Friendly service, a great soundtrack, a sunny ambience, great food and drink. Oh, and they have free wifi and plug-ins! And late hours! Oh my. Yep, life at Remedy is good.
google avatar

Dominika W.

Yelp
I love the Remedy location downtown. It has been open for only three weeks, but is already my home office away from home. Whether you are enjoying the live music on Friday evenings, hanging our with friends, or working diligently away, the atmosphere is fun and the staff are super friendly. For the working from home/cafe crowd, Remedy is the place to be. The restaurant boasts free wifi, more power outlets than you can shake a stick at, plenty of seating and plenty of delicious Indian food to snack on. My powering-through-a-report meal is the Masala Dosa which is available on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Dosa is a veggie-filled crepe that comes with four dipping sauces (I believe they are: mint, coconut, plum, and a curry soup). Cap it off with Remedy's home-made chai and you have a recipe for good food, good vibes, and (hopefully) getting some good work done.

Yelp
This is my favourite place to kill my time when I get bored . The food is delicious. By far , the best Chai place in Edmonton . Butter chicken and tandoori chicken wraps are my favourite snack in this place . Free Wi-Fi , good service , tasty food and good location . Good place to go for a coffee date ! Their lunch hours are pretty busy and lineups are usually to the doors . Be spicy , Drink Chai :}

Yelp
I was thrilled to learn that Remedy was opening a location north of the river. I have been going to the south side location for years. This new location is much more spacious and bright. It is still loud from music, conversation, and coffee machine. The free wifi is a definite draw, as is the menu of reasonably priced Indian foods, desserts, and a plethora of hot and cold drinks. I had an iced Kasmiri chai latte, which was a delight to my taste buds. The garnishes of pistachio and rose petals made my day. The atmosphere is a bit more slick here, with the menu on electronic screens and the pervasive smell of curry much toned down. Still, you will find a variety of hippies, hipsters, and students here. It is also one of the few downtown spots opened late.

Yelp
Great coffee, good food, great chai lattes, relaxed atmosphere. Great lunch and coffee place that is locally owned.

Yelp
Ok so I love coming here for the Authentic Chai tea lattes. It's so delicious and addictive! I don't like eating flowers, but I don't mind the bits of pistachios. I love this location because it opens until 12am during the weekday. It can be very busy here and we have had trouble finding a table to sit at, but definitely worth the wait. I just sit at the counter until a table opens up. Varieties and more varieties. Lots of drink selections. When I get a little hungry, I always order the butter chicken. It's so good and it's not to heavy for my stomach since I don't always eat dinner on time! I've never been disappointed with any of the food they make here. I had the coconut vegan chicken, the veggie samosas, wraps and cinnamon buns. Looks goods, smells great and taste absolutely fabulous! Once we met one of the cook and he was a very nice East Indian man. He let us taste test some of there creation, because one of sister has food allergies and couldn't eat a lot of foods. He was kind helping us out with the selections that she could choose from. The only thing that bothers be about this cafe is that it looks really scatter. The chairs and tables are disorganized and often times, not all the dirty cups are collected to the back. It's a feeling of carelessness. But for the most part this place carries a casual ambiance. The drinks are announced and you have to get up to the counter and pick it up, but the food is brought to your table. Cost less than Starbucks and you only need to purchase 6 drinks to get one free! Also free and fast WiFi here. This is a cafe to be!

Yelp
Man this place is great. I eat here 4 ays in a row and don't worry I have a great deli belly! Food is fresh very good and reasonable in price. I would like to take this idea to the uk. It would be a smash!
google avatar

Ali G.

Yelp
Remedy Cafe downtown is my favorite Remedy Cafe. It's not quite as busy as the location on 109th street near the UofA campus, and the food/beverage is just as amazing! The chairs include comfy couches and more standard cafe seating, and there is lots of space to sit and do work or to meet with friends or enjoy a book while enjoying your food/beverage. I do love their wraps and the Kashmir chai is my favorite beverage. The dosa are not as good as I expect them to be (or maybe I just prefer a different style of dosa) but they're not bad either. The dahl is yummy as are the samosas. But really my favorite is the channa masala wrap.
google avatar

Janine R.

Yelp
Everyone loves Remedy but truthfully it really isn't my favourite place. Their chai lattes are delicious but I found their other lattes mediocre. Maybe I'm turning into a bit of a latte snob though. The pie I has was good and they have a nice selection of food with vegan options. It's in a good location, and the prices are fair, but man is it busy! Luckily we found a place to sit but the chair I was in had ripped upholstery. I'm not sure if that's trendy these days or what but I'm not a fan. Like I said Remedy was average, but definitely not my favourite.
google avatar

Benny D.

Yelp
The food and drinks are great, but the food prices can be a bit on the pricey side for what you get. Customer service varies from great to average depending on who's on cash. Location is great if you don't driver as street parking can be a pain to find and it's expensive.
google avatar

Kayla S.

Yelp
Remedy for their Chai is always great. I like the atmosphere at the 109th location more, better seating and all around better vibes. BUT.. here they serve dosas! What! I've been looking for dosas everywhere. I did not try it on this occasion because I was meeting someone for tea for a professional rendez-vous but I will be back to try for sure. The ginger chai was great, as always and service friendly. Yum! Great selection of other teas and bottled drinks like kombucha. The desserts also looked tasty. Too many things to try, so little time!
google avatar

Ron S.

Yelp
The masala dosa was good but the crepe was a bit over-cooked. The potato filling was flavorful. The sambar was good. The coconut chutney was good. The tomato chutney was excellent. The unexpected side of boiled chickpeas was nice from a protein point of view. The background music was a bit loud and became "strident", unbearable at one point. Fortunately a request to turn it down was acted upon. We had Crabbie's original ginger beer was interesting but gave one member of our group (with sulphite sensitivity) an unpleasant feeling.

Yelp
Best Kashmiri latte I have ever had. Too bad I don't live in Canada but when I do visit this is a must!! Very nice friendly cafe with variety of tasty food options. They have something for every taste bud. I wish I had one close to me. I'll be here every day.

Yelp
Worst staff ever . Ordered a food for pickup late night. The staff took the order , after a 40 mins drive I reached there , & the staff says very u apologetically- Chef is gone , so no food . They didn't bother to call us to inform & its was so late that no other restaurant was open either that night & we had to sleep hungry. Such rude & cruel staff , never seen such behavior at any restaurant.

Jenny A.

Yelp
I am definitely a fan of Remedy! It was definitely a strategic and bold move to expand with several other spots around Edmonton. This location is a wonderful gem to hit up when you are wandering around downtown. Open late so you can catch an Alleycat draft after a show or have a sit down with a chai after the 104 Street City Market. It does fill up fast; therefore, the best plan of action is to snag a spot first before ordering. It feels a bit cozier than its mother spot on 109 Street as there are fewer seats. Also, their chalkboard wall in the hallway on the way to the bathrooms gives it a neat vibe.

Yelp
Last week, I picked up chicken chana masala for takeout with some coworkers and when we brought it back to work we realized that all 3 orders had no chicken in them. We were not expecting anything, but called the restaurant regardless to let them know of their mistake. The first person we spoke to argued and insisted "Are you sure there's no chicken?". Finally someone else took the phone who seemed like the manager and offered all three of us a free lunch the next time we come in. This week, I texted the manager (upon his instruction) to let him know we were coming to pick up our order - he phoned me and was VERY nice, however, asked if it were two orders and not three. I confirmed, that no, there were three orders that were wrong and he said "Okay, it will be waiting for you when you're ready to pick it up dear." I was fairly impressed with how the mistake was dealt with and the customer service. But when we went to pick up the food, not only did they make us wait half an hour for something we called ahead about, they AGAIN insisted it was two orders - to the point where the manager came out from the back and said "We have two orders in our records, but if you want to feed someone free, we will give it to you this time," which he said in front of a long line of people. I made clear that there were three orders wrong the week prior and even offered to show him my bank statement so there was no miscommunication that I was trying to squeeze a free meal out of them (which HE HAD OFFERED to us in the first place). He then went on the explain that due to 'tax purposes' he could not give out 'free food'. I again, offered to show my bank statement and said "I just want to make clear that there were three orders." He then walked away and someone else brought the food out. I have never felt so insulted and irritated in my life and I definitely will NOT be going back to the Jasper Ave location. I wish I could rate lower than 1!

Yelp
One of my favourite spots to come paint, or have lunch with a friend. Very open, relaxed atmosphere. Although it's quite busy, I've never had trouble finding seating. The food is great, and drinks are very creative. Great options for people with dietary restrictions, which I really appreciate. Plus, it's close to some of my favourite book shops, so it's always a nice place to pop by if you're on the go and need a bit of caffeine or snack.

Yelp
Remedy is awesome, love how they're vegan and local! Love the chai they make, it's so perfect on a frosty winter day. It's a decent place to study if you don't mind background noise and such. It's a great place for a first date, interview, meeting friends e.t.c.. The only reason I took one star off for this location is because it's quite smaller then the one on Whyte! A definite must for people to check out :) (Wish it was bigger)

Yelp
Great coconut London fog and tandoori chicken wrap. An eclectic place- would love to go back and try more of the food.

Yelp
Tried this place because of all the hype and buzz around the city surrounded this company. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff was super friendly. I got a iced dirty chai, and as soon as I finished my drink I had a sore throat. It felt super itchy and dry. The next day I woke up with a sore throat. Cleanliness is something I value highly when choosing my restaurants and that was absolutely not okay. I have reported them to AHS. Thought it must've been me, though I checked www.albertahealthservices.ca and clicked on remedy cafe and this specific address and this health violation came up. Violation noted: The mechanical dishwasher is not adequately sanitizing utensils. I had to share my experience, dont think I will return after this.

Yelp
Yummy, yummy chai! This is a fairly big location so there's plenty of room for just yourself or even a small group. It can get busy though, especially during exam season!, so be prepared to fight for a seat. The service here is always great! Friendly, but not pushy, and your order comes out fairly quickly. Try the butter chicken, you won't regret it! (Their wraps are also pretty good if you're on the go!)

Yelp
I stopped into remedy twice in the past two months, I ordered a ice blended matcha latte and an iced cider. I was honestly disappointed in both.. The blended iced latte, had no ice. I was expecting a slushy type of drink, kinda like a frappuccino but it was only slightly cold. The iced cider was very disappointing. I watched it made, with minimal ice that melted by the time I got it, and a dump of syrup they kept under the counter, mixed in with some water in a jug. That was it.. At over $5 for this drink, I was not impressed.. I've heard the food and baked goods are great here, and the chia. Perhaps they need to revamp their iced drinks!

Yelp
My go to orders are the Chana Masala wrap and the vegan butter chicken with naan. I also love the Kashmiri Chai. Every time you walk by a remedy, you can smell the amazing food and chai wafting by. I am a huge fan of everything on their menu and am a frequent visitor to all locations!

Yelp
I work within a few minutes of the Remedy Cafe downtown. I've visited the location early in the morning (just after opening) at lunch time and around 4pm. I've never been there late at night so I can't comment on how the alcohol flows. Their policy on choosing your milk (Nonfat, 2%, Whole, Soy, Almond) is a welcome change especially since Starbucks changed their policy on free milk for Starbucks cardholders. If you're vegan, have a dairy allergy or are lactose-intolerant (like me) it's nice to have complete control over your drink without worrying about additional costs. I was also impressed with their ability to make steamed milk drinks and fogs with soy milk and still have it taste pleasant and without a weird texture. Their breakfast sandwiches while pricy are tasty and I recommend the egg, ham and swiss sandwich. If you go to Remedy for nothing else then you should go for the variety of baked goods (vegan & gluten-free!) they have at the counter where you order and pay. I have a friend that eats gluten free and after introducing her to Remedy we rarely went anywhere else. Staff have been nothing but fabulous and it's rare to never have a bad experience given I've visited on different days and different times. Always friendly, always helpful and all seem to generally enjoy their job. My only complaint is their regular, plain ol' cup of joe isn't great. I ordered a large medium roast black and the coffee tasted burnt. Given there are few cafes in the city that don't have this issue it's a shame Remedy is one of them. Otherwise they are a 5 star place!

Yelp
This place can be hit or miss with how the staff treat you...food is super! Drinks are delicious but pricey. You pay for quality and what you want. They support artists and are food alternative choices and all kinds of baked goods that are vegan option but still rich in flavor. A year ago everyone that greeted me on the occasions I've come in were super friendly and kind when helping. Today not so much and yesterday as well. I am assuming hey have new people and recommend they get rid of them. I've only been gone three months. The food is great and the drinks are even so. I think in going to take a break from remedy try back in a month when staff are a bit chipper.

Yelp
Interesting cross between a western and non-western coffee shop. I really liked this place. The chais are much spicier than any western coffee shop, and really good. I had a chili chicken wrap that was crispy on the outside and came with a green sauce with a nice kick to it. The vibe here is really casual. Might be hard to find a power outlet if you're looking to use your laptop here - I managed to find one on one of the square tables by the window, but didn't see many others. This would definitely be a regular spot for me if I lived here.
