Google
This coffee shop exudes a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, adorned with funky decor and lush house plants that perfectly complements its queer-friendly vibe. The street parking makes it convenient for a quick visit, and their coffee selection is both delicious and diverse. It's a must-visit spot for anyone wanting to enjoy a cozy ambiance. I ordered a Violet Beaugarde today and it is 10/10 - a order again drink. Sad there weren’t any food options are 11ish.

Google
It was an average experience. The service was fine, the atmosphere was good, the chai was okay. If you’re a local, it’s a cool everyday spot to go hang out. If you’re traveling, I would say maybe don’t spend your money/stop here.

Google
There are some great coffee shops in Knoxville. Remedy is one of them. They make an excellent latte, and they always have some interesting specialty drinks on the menu if you want something different. I still say they should be called Hallowed Grounds ;) There is a cool, old historic cemetery just across from them with winding paths and big, mature trees. Great place to have a quiet walk with a warm cup.

Google
Coffee is great! Very earthy vibes, and the coffee was very tastefully light. Something I've never experienced from bigger chains. Will def be back while I'm in Knox for vacation.

Google
I had gotten an iced latte and I was floored at how absolutely incredibly delicious this coffee was. I've had a lot of coffee in my life, and this latte was on the top three coffees I've had in my entire life. I need to find a way to get this coffee while living over 500 miles away.

Google
coffee here is great, vibes immaculate. the matcha and all of the homemade syrups are really good. only cons are that parking can be difficult to find, and the shop is always pretty busy, so grabbing a spot sometimes isn’t an option. (love the business for y’all, just annoying as a patron!).

Google
Remedy was my Friday morning "office" as I ended up spending nearly four hours here with a constant supply of coffee and a great wifi connection. The place started to fill up by 11:00 am and I took that as my cue to move on to somewhere else. Arriving at 7:30am, the place was quiet and roomy. I found a great seat by the window where there is a power outlet. I started off with a cortado and then kept my caffeine buzz going with their "house" drip coffee. The barista was friendly and my cortado was perfection. The signs on the street parking here say two hours only, starting at 8am. I have no idea how strongly they enforce it, as I was there a bit longer than that and did not have a problem.

Google
My cappuccino with steamed almond with a lot of cinnamon fantastic taste😘!! What a lively place to enjoy a wonderful cup coffee👏🏻👏🏻. Just stay around the corner so checking out local businesses to support. Was very pleased having this coffee place just a few blocks away🤣. Staff was confident & very talented to keep orders coming very quickly!! Even though the place was hoping busy today/ mid morning the all kept with beat of orders. I was very impressed with this place. I’ve been in the food industry for decades. I have traveled across the country and try always to found out the away coffee house & restaurants. You guy are very special team ! I have had many poor quality Cappuccino coffee when I am traveling. Thank you such a fantastic coffee shop in the area!!

Yelp
Remedy Coffee is an absolute gem in Knoxville! I stopped by during the week and was immediately struck by the quiet, cozy atmosphere, which makes it the perfect spot to get some work done or just relax with a good book. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between inviting and peaceful--exactly what I look for in a coffee shop. A special shoutout to Hannah, who was an exceptional barista and truly elevated my experience. She crafted one of the best cappuccinos I've ever had--smooth, perfectly balanced, and topped with a beautifully executed latte art design. Hannah's friendly demeanor and attention to detail didn't go unnoticed; she made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. If you're in Knoxville, Remedy Coffee is a must-visit. Whether you're a coffee connoisseur or just looking for a tranquil spot to recharge, this place won't disappoint!

Yelp
Remedy has great matcha coffee, and more. They bring the food out fast, and are very kind about it. The vibes there are nice too.
google avatar

Yelp
We were searching for Paysan and Remedy is right next door. What an awesome combo! There is plenty of free street parking and inside, this is a very different vibe than any other Knox coffee shop I've been to. Remedy definitely has a laid-back, bohemian atmosphere. The menu is equally as laid back. There is pour-over coffee (they sell all of the accessories to make your own at home, too). They also have all of the basic coffee drinks, along with matcha, and nitro. I ordered an oat milk iced mocha and it was pretty good. Not the best I've had in town, but combined with the cozy atmosphere, I could see meeting someone here and/or working for a bit. They have counter seating that is utilized by laptop-tastic workers and grabbing a breakfast sandwich at Paysan and bringing it over seems to be okay, if not the norm, for many patrons.

Yelp
Stopped in because they had a matcha latte. Always happy to find a coffee shop that offers plant milks, too. I suspect many coffee places offer matcha latte to have it on the menu for people like me, but haven't really given it much thought or perhaps even tasted it themselves. This is one of those places. The matcha was super strong and I could not finish it. That's always disappointing. The ambiance seemed like a locals or regulars place and the staff was a bit aloof. It had a different vibe that I cannot out my finger on, but we drank (or didn't!) our drinks and left quickly.

Yelp
Fast, friendly service. Great cappuccino, has a very chill atmosphere even when busy.

Yelp
Great place for some work and coffee in equal measure. Bonus: the bagel place next door is amazing.
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
I want to give it one less star for parking reasons but that's not fair!! I got the NOLA cold brew. It's a sweet cold brew with a hint of chicory, cut with milk. 10/10! Order a bagel from next door and get a cup of delicious coffee while you wait.
google avatar

Caitlyn S.

Yelp
This place is legit. The vanilla latte is light and the syrup is not overwhelming. Even though it was packed we got our coffee quickly! We didn't stick around but it looked like a great place to hang out as well.

Sandy M.

Yelp
We stopped in while in the area for an appointment. There was no line and we were served promptly. The restaurant has lots of windows with lots of natural light. Our cappuccinos were 5/5 in our book! We shared a tasty chocolate chip muffin which had plenty of chocolate chips. We would definitely return if we are in the area and wanting coffee.

Yelp
I've been to hundreds of coffee shops across the US & Remedy huts that sweet spot for me. Knowledgeable coffee enthusiasts without being pretentious. The vibe and branding of the space is just beautiful. Music is on point. This place won't be for everyone, but it's made for people like me and I appreciate that. Espresso is top notch- they pull some smooth shots that don't stray into the under/over range at a perfect temp. Got to love people that hone their craft and perfect it as much as these dudes do. Thanks for making great coffee!
google avatar

Kirk M.

Yelp
Coffee tastes pretty good but goodness the most unfriendly barista I've ever met. Barely anyone else in the store but 0 desire to make any conversation. When asking for wifi she just points at the counter and says its on the counter. It's remedycoffee incase anyones wondering. Go check out any other shop in town.

Hannah R.

Yelp
Coffee was fine, tho I just ordered a black iced coffee. THEY DO NOT HAVE A PHONE NUMBER... very strange!! I think I left something there and there is no way of contacting them!

Janne W.

Yelp
Good costumer service, amazing place to study with plenty of natural light & delicious coffee for a reasonable price.
google avatar

Jordan B.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite coffee shop in all of the Knoxville area! The best espresso, atmosphere, background music, and the coolest baristas. I'll never go anywhere else for my coffee!

Jewel R.

Yelp
Service is usually amazing food is tasty and drinks are cute and well made. Cozy and relaxing ambiance with quiet space for working or studying.

Yelp
After 72 hours without decent coffee from a coffee shop I needed a fix and I needed one badly. Me and a friend who were staying in Gatlinburg for our trip made the hour drive to Knoxville. Remedy has a nice open space for those that want to get work done and those that want to chat with friends. With COVID-19 my friend, who is a little more uncomfortable than I am with indoor seating, felt at ease with Remedy's precautions. The coffee .... WOW. I don't know if it's just because I hadn't had a good latte in 72 hours, but months later I'm still thinking about the latte I had Remedy Coffee. The beans used were roasted beautifully and really came out in the espresso. I did have vanilla added for a slight sweetness, and it didn't take away from the espresso. I loved Remedy Coffee enough that I went back the next day on my way back north to Indianapolis. I still think about that latte from Remedy Coffee and only wish that Knoxville wasn't a six hour drive from Indy so I could get one more often.

Yelp
Love this little coffee shop. The service is excellent and the coffee is always delicious.

Yelp
Remedy coffee is a wonderful environment to get work done. It is a very clean establishment. The bathrooms were absolutely pleasant to go into. The staff was extremely nice. There is only street parking here.
google avatar

Yelp
Great coffee! We stopped in to grab coffee during our very long drive back to St. Louis. The previous reviews convinced us to stop and we are glad we did. Great coffee, they had many dairy alternatives and they make their own syrups. Great find!
google avatar

Yelp
Knoxville coffee scene is one of my favorites and Remedy is high up on my recommended must try list! They check off pretty much every box on my coffee shop essentials list including hip environment, quality espresso, oat milk option, outlets, wifi, easy parking, water jug, reasonable prices, and plants! Located right next to a really cool cemetery, this coffee shop's vibe puts interesting to the max! I loved the huge American flag right as you walk in, indoor beautiful plants peeking at you from all corners, white brick lining the walls, and minimalist earth tone features filling the gaps. They have all kinds of seating from couches to barstools and community tables. Would definitely recommend for groups! They use Intelligista Roasters as their espresso and sell the bags + other coffee at-home goods in the back. The menu is simple, they have a small variety of pastries from a local bakery and there's a locally loved bagel shop right next door for heavier breakfast desires. Park, grab your bagel, order your coffee and post up for some quality working hours in an awesome environment!

Yelp
Remedy is a nice coffee shop with a few coffee options. It brings in a lot of millennials and younger families. My boyfriend and I tried the Cortadas which came with sparkling water. When our order was ready it was a bit hard to hear the employee call it out. The coffee was a bit bitter but not horrible. Next time I go back I will definitely order a latte and hopefully the espresso in that will be better done.
google avatar

Donald R.

Yelp
My wife and I had coffee here for the first time. The employees were very pleasant and accommodating. We each had a small regular coffee. They welcome you to eat the food next door at Paysan Bakery in their coffee shop, which is very convenient. I'm no coffee connoisseur, but I thought the coffee was very good. It was not harsh, bitter or too strong. I would have preferred to put my own cream in it though. The place has an industrial feel. It's very open, with plenty of light and seating. I also like the two individual gender-neutral bathrooms. One downside, is there's only street side parking, although we had no problem finding a spot (at 8:00 a.m. on a Sunday).
google avatar

Angel M.

Yelp
Quant little coffee bar that I came upon as I was on the hunt for a good bagel. Next door to Paysan (where I got my bagel). I'm sure the locals all know this place. Glad I found it n my quick trip through town. Well worth getting off the main road to find this gem.
google avatar

Jordan D.

Yelp
Nice place with plenty of seating and the coffee is great! Definitely recommend the nitro!!

Carson W.

Yelp
Some coffee shops focus on espresso and are simply adequate in every other sense. Remedy does not do this- instead they obsess over every detail of their coffee only hiring enthusiasts who know the craft as though they are trained chemists. The result is coffee that is unrivaled by any shop in the Knoxville area. As a coffee enthusiast myself, I was pleased to see them serving Passenger Coffee, a roaster out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania famous for the quality of their roasts. Remedy's strategy: buy the best coffee possible and brew it like it deserves. Whether you like espresso, pour overs, or artisan teas Remedy could not manage to disappoint you if they tried.
google avatar

Robert W.

Yelp
Excellent drip coffee. Not pretentious. Just a nice place to hang out for coffee and enjoy a bagel from paysan next door
google avatar

Reema P.

Yelp
I really enjoy remedy! I stopped by one random day, and since then I've tried to make it a go to spot! The baristas are always super friendly and they let you bring food from next door in! The coffee is great, the place is clean and quiet. I really enjoyed it here!

Yelp
We stopped by Remedy Coffee for a coffee on our way out of town this past Sunday. We ordered online and just popped in to get our coffees. We had to wait a minute or two, but it was ready quickly. The place itself is really cute. There were a few people studying or reading around 8 on a Sunday morning. Parking on the street was pretty easy. And our coffees (a cold brew with soy milk and an Americano) were very good. The staff were very friendly, and (during COVID), they were all masked and made patrons wear masks too (a guy who went in just before had forgotten his and I think they gave him one, because he was masked when we entered a minute later). Definitely a nice local coffeeshop. Would happily visit again if I'm in Knoxville.

Yelp
And this concludes my coffee shop adventure! Located right next to Makers Donuts. I think they allow you to eat their donuts inside since many customers had a box with them. They do not have a parking lot so you'll have to parallel park on the streets. But no worries, it seems like all of Knoxville has markings on the floor so you have more than enough space to parallel park. Very spacious shop with different types of tall and short tables/chairs and sofas! I love the hippie vibe of it. I ordered a latte and it was perfectly foamy with a pretty design.
google avatar

Astrid B.

Yelp
Great place! Super cute decor and clean bathrooms. Coffee was great and service was quick, there weren't many people there. Quality souvenirs, seems like a cool place to chill.
google avatar

Eliza V.

Yelp
Ordered two drinks: regular latte & breve latte and a blueberry muffin. The muffin was a bit too dry for my palate, I actually regret purchasing that. But the breve latte....oh the creaminess if that drink. The barista made it so delicious! It was full body and creamy and didn't have too bitter of a taste. I'd definitely go back for that!
google avatar

Mayra B.

Yelp
I went today and noticed a girl with blue green streaks that was not friendly at all. My order was taken by one of the gentlemen and then I sat down and had a conversation with my friend but noticed there was a coffee already made waiting to be picked up so I got up and made my way to the counter. I asked her since she was the only one standing near it if it was mine and she shrugged her shoulders confused without saying anything so I had to wait til the guy who took my order came back out so I could make sure I was grabbing my coffee not someone else's. Someone clearly needs to teach her customer service skills.I probably won't be coming back but it's alright because it looks like some people seem to like this place.. the coffee isn't even that good honestly. I ordered an iced caramel latte and it was watery didn't really have a robust coffee flavor. Not sure if quality and service have gone down over the years cause other reviews are raving about this place.. shame really. My friend also noted that one of the people who took his order asked directly if he was interested in tipping. I didn't think nothing of it but he seemed to not like the fact that there was no friendly banter or interest and only received a "what do you want" then they proceed to ask for a tip when he is about to pay for his basic coffee.

Macey B.

Yelp
The coffee was a to strong for my husband and I. When asked if they could make us a cup that was less strong or water it down they made us pay for another cup which was okay. Just not the most hospitable .
google avatar

Callie G.

Yelp
Remedy Coffee is a true Knoxville gem. Perfect for the connoisseur or the casual drinker, they seem to have something for every customer. They feature comfortable lounge furniture and family style seating. So come here to work, but expect to make some new friends! If you're not a coffee drinker like my husband, they offer a nice array of teas and milk-tea lattes. The chai was perfectly crafted, with just enough foam and spice. Parking can be a bit of a pain, so expect a small walk.
google avatar

Crystal L.

Yelp
One of the best lattes I've ever had. Tried the new milk substitute and it's delicious! Service wonderful. Nice, cool, chill, vibe!
google avatar

Jax D.

Yelp
Super spacious coffee stop. From out of town and looked for best coffee place and up pops Remedy. It is a little weird that it's right across the way from a cemetery, but I'll wait for my pet cemetery moment any day in this little gem. Outlets are a must and they are everywhere. Workspace wise, this place is a win. Let's chat and catch up: another win with comfortable sofa seating. I didn't try the little donut place next door but apparently it's best in town. Clint was an awesome barista and made me an off the menu Dirty Chai. Gave a little HIStory lesson on the company and welcomed me with open notes of cinnamon. Parking is limited to street. Support local and give this awesomeness and attractiveness a chai ... I mean try!
google avatar

Hal R.

Yelp
One of the best coffee options in Knoxville. Their space is bright and has plenty of natural light. Our barista was knowledgeable and they had plenty of options! Their diary alternatives include oat and almond milk! If you are in need of a coffee and are looking for a modern and fun space, Remedy will not fail to disappoint!
google avatar

Ben B.

Yelp
Cool layout. Limited menu. Coffee was okay, but did have a nice open area to get some work done if needed to. Service was really nice
google avatar

Eli E.

Yelp
wow. If you get the lavender chai tea here it will change your perspective in all over chai.
google avatar

Heather S.

Yelp
Would recommend this place for coffee shop enthusiast. The beans used have a nice boldness. And branding is wonderful; well thought out for the location.
google avatar

Jody C.

Yelp
I'm a long time Remedy Coffee goer and fan. I remember back in the days at the former location in the Old City, to them building out the new location closer to Old North. Throughout the move and the years they have been superbly consistent. With coffee, baked good, and knowledgeable employees. I am generally a black coffee drinker, but have been known to get a latte now and again. They usually come up with unique flavors, but always have a solid base of lattes. Which is comforting. I also kinda love the layout of the location. It's spread out. You can cordon off, if you just want to have a convo amongst a person or two. You can sit solo at the "bar." You can have a big group at a community table.
google avatar

Taryn M.

Yelp
I came here after grabbing donuts from Makers and liked the place, a very clean and quiet place. What's posted on the menu board is limited but I'm sure there's more they can do for you as I got an iced caramel latte. Four stars because I was not wooed by the coffee
google avatar

Molly I.

Yelp
Pretty good. They know how to make a nice cup of coffee, latte, etc. As good as they can make it, the coffee is just intelligentsia, so it's not particularly special or local. It's a good coffee, don't get me wrong, but if you're trying to find unique local coffee, this isn't the spot. Had a muffin as well. Quite good. However, our only food/snack options were two types of muffins. It would be great if they expanded their options. They do offer almond milk now, so that's a nice update. It's good, just not particularly local so bear that in mind.
google avatar

Cynthia O.

Yelp
Really neat little coffee shop. Nice place to relax, study, read, or chat with a friend.
google avatar

Greg K.

Yelp
The infused syrup here is nuts, so good. They make some bodacious coffee and lattes too. Very relaxing atmosphere with chill vibes. The staff is very friendly, I love coming here to study and read. It's hard finding a good coffee spot in Knoxville. They never disappoint.
google avatar

Brad B.

Yelp
I typically don't leave bad reviews, but Remedy earned one. My four year old was correct about the restroom being "stinky" and out of paper-towels. I'm not sure if we caught them on an off day (they weren't busy), but the service was rude and overly difficult to simple issues like paper-towels, etc. Even when we approached politely and with a smile.
google avatar

Alyssa H.

Yelp
Open: The space is really great! There is a lot of seating areas, whether it be couch, bar, or table. Also, the NATURAL LIGHTING... Honestly, this was my favorite part. Rustic: An older vibe, yet new, with the ceiling exposing the piping. Hip: This is a type of place to go wearing a flannel and Toms (or are Toms not hip anymore?). Tasty: The simple drip coffee was great, as well as my friends Latte. Come here more for work or a silent study, not necessarily a friend hangout/date. The atmosphere is very quiet, so quiet it's almost awkward speaking...
google avatar

Jared W.

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee shops in the area! The staff is always incredibly kind and masked up, and they've created adequate distance between tables. If you're looking for a place to social distance, read a good book, and enjoy a well-made latte, you've found your place. 10/10 would recommend.
