’ve been to many wellness clubs and recovery spaces in NYC, so I usually know what to expect — calm energy, transparency, and time that actually feels restorative. Unfortunately, Remedy Place SoHo delivered… cardio-level stress instead.
Every visit felt rushed, like wellness was being speed-run. The staff came off oddly selective and transactional, and instead of relaxing, I found myself watching the clock — not exactly the nervous system reset I signed up for.
Then there were the surprise fees. Apparently, part of the recovery experience here is recovering from your bill. None of this was clearly explained upfront, which felt unnecessary for a place marketing itself as “premium.”
Bonus round: no receipt ever arrived in my email, which is impressive considering how efficient the charges were.
I regularly visit other high-end wellness clubs, and I’ve never encountered this combination of rushed energy, hidden costs, and missing follow-up. Wellness shouldn’t feel like being late for a flight you didn’t book.
Overall, not relaxing, not transparent, and not worth the price.
Would not recommend — especially if you’re here to unwind rather than increase your cortisol.
