We stayed for 4 nights.
The hotel is a short walk from Tenmonkan where all the bars and izakayas are located. The room was very small for 3 single beds. The space was design for 2 single beds. The push in a moveable bed as we booked a room for 3. There was hardly any space to walk in between the beds.
The one thing that was nice , there was a bathtub 🛀 , a great pleasure after a long day of walking and shopping.
Though there were lots of places to eat, but mostly izakayas and bars. The ramen restaurants were not good at all, we were very disappointed.
So we ended up taking the tram to the next town for better quality food that were more reasonably priced.
When you get in from the Shinkansen, take the tram to Tenmonkan and its a short walk. The tram (170¥) is cheaper than the bus (270¥).
We also took the bus to the Ferry to cross over to Sakurajima.
Overall, the hotel is at a good location.
