I bought a nice buffet table from this business about 10 years ago for $900. I was happy about it and never had any issues with them. I sold it back to them in 2022 on consignment. They said they “might” be able to get me $300. That was upsetting to me but what’s more upsetting it that several years later I have never received any payment for their retail sale for it. And no communication to me about it. Buy what you want from them but don’t trust them if if you want to sell anything through them.

Google
Probably the best place for buying any unique furniture that is not mama produced and of quality. I have been doing business with Denis for a decade and this is my go to for any furniture or unique decor items. If I could give 10 starts I would!

Google
Lots of antique lovers here. Lots of collectors. Things seem to sell out fast. They recommend following them on Instagram. Pretty pricey but for very unique pieces.

Favorite store of all time. So many wonderful antique treasures to behold. You never know what you will find. The staff makes you feel like family. Lifetime customer!

Amazingly reasonable and very good quality furnishings. I was looking for a wardrobe and although they didn’t have one that fit my space I did find a table, chairs and desk. Fabulous quality and well worth the visit. They do accept offers and have a wonderful staff that is very friendly.

This place is amazing. So many different styles and so much to look at. Very enjoyable to just walk around store and see all the neat treasures.

Google
Lack of response. Had a pre-approved consignment. After failing to respond to setting up pick up, they then wouldn’t accept the items on a Sunday bc they are short handed. I’m dropping them off, what else can I do to make your lives easier.

LOVE this place! Inventory constantly changes and I've purchased beautiful furniture, trays, glasses and items here! The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Love this place!

Yelp
The owners of Renaissance are friendly. Me and my wife love buying from here. But there is a woman that works here (not sure of her name). She has stringy grey-black long hair. She has to be the rudest person we have ever encountered. She works up front. (It's not Tonya she's sweet as can be) but this woman who probably makes minimum wage by the looks of the way she dresses... acts like she is better than the customers. Her facial expressions on her wrinkled face and eyes are demeaning and rude. We'll shop here but we will avoid her at all costs. They need to get rid of this woman who has the worst customer service and attitude. It really brings down the quality of this place to have her kind working here. We have heard the same from many other people who frequent here. Avoid her at all costs.

Yelp
This is a go to place in METRO NEW ORLEANS . The twins have a good eye for what people find interesting, eclectic, useful, attractive and reasonably priced. No better way to prove value than time and price. Go, look, shop, haggle, enjoy.

Yelp
Great place. Almost museum-like. Art, Ántiques, interesting stock. Terrific finds. Helpful staff .

Yelp
The Best consignment/antique/decor in Louisiana. Good prices, huge inventory friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Like this place yet their ticket system is shady. Things that have been there for a while the change the dates.

Yelp
If you have a home and like funky, unique home furnishings, Renaissance is a must-visit. It's a clean and fairly well organized store full of used pieces of fairly priced furniture, artwork, lamps, rugs, knickknacks, etc. I've attached several pics to give you an idea of the things you can expect to see, although I'm sure the selection varies from time to time. The staff encourages you to browse without pressure. Well worth the drive out to Metry! Yes, masks are required and social distancing is easily maintained, so don't be afraid to visit during the current situation.

Yelp
Be careful with this place, they often label things incorrectly. However, they are moderate to above with pricing

Yelp
If only I had known about Renaissance Interiors when actively looking to furnish my home. There are some utterly stunning pieces here and expect real deal antiques: Louis IV, Queen Anne, Victorian, to name a few, some in incredible condition to crisp vintage MCM couches and chairs (in such good condition, now I know why my mom and Grandma insisted on plastic slipcovers!) Alas, I came in to find dining room chairs that would go with my grandmother's Art Deco Waterfall table and couldn't find anything that really worked. It must be noted that just browsing around is a real treat here! I was especially enthralled with the selection of Florentine nesting tables and end tables. Somehow, that fits within my shabby chic aesthetic (I wish that term would die... so why am I using it?) Also, super impressive array of framed art that is priced incredibly well. The dining sets are a bit too bougie for me, as I prefer reclaimed wood farmhouse tables, but if you look hard enough, they might even have some offerings in this style. One jaw dropping item that bears mentioning here: a Ralph Lauren table that retailed at 22K but here, it's about 2 and a half K (note: I don't know anything about such things, so that sign indicating such was a nice touch). Oh and if you're looking for that enormous marble statue that you've always wanted because Gianni Versace is your soulmate... get yourself here, STAT. There's plenty to choose from.

Yelp
OUR BEST CONSIGNMENT CENTER I lived in Atlanta for several years - the universal center of quality consignment. Mainly because it is in the heart of the GA/NC textile and furniture manufacturing belt. In comparison, Renaissance is a good local store. Nothing flashy but quality and fairly priced. I outfitted my bedroom and living room in quality antiques at less than $5,000.

Jen L.

Yelp
Things I wanted on my last visit: vintage metal cabinet from a 40s era doctors office WITH autoclave, green apothecary cabinet, vintage library book cart. What I bought? Nothing The new location seems better laid out although the parking lot is still tight.

Yelp
I'm not normally attracted to "consignment businesses" though my wife is. We searched Yelp for her to get her "retail therapy-fix". Finding some great places to look, I can unequivocally say this is the best one! It's organized to allow for movement through the space, the quality of the furnishings, and the level of attention to service from the employees makes it worth the trip. We purchased a great table for a sitting space in our home for a great price! Awesome Place to find your next antique piece.

Jeff A.

Yelp
A must-visit for anyone shopping for antique/vintage furniture. They have a ton of stuff and the prices (especially on some larger items) are quite reasonable. I'll definitely be back. Staff is very friendly and often walk the floor proactively seeing if you need help (which was much appreciated).

Yelp
This store has some incredibly nice and beautiful pieces in it. In the past two months my husband and I purchased two chairs and a sectional sofa from them. The reason for the 2-star review is that we feel mild-to-moderately swindled, we do not trust this business. When we bought our two chairs one of the managers discussed with us where they were from, that they had been used to stage and expensive home that was for sale and were now being resold though never used, and that they were priced below 50% of retail. The chairs do seem to be never used and they are lovely. But, we paid $750 for them and just saw them on Houzz for $675 (photo below). I am not sure about the sofa. The second reason we do not trust this store is that when we purchased the chairs, a man who apparently sells his independent furniture cleaning and protection services through their store, suggested we scotch guard the chairs, "just buy a couple cans and you're good." When I went back a week later to buy the sofa, he clearly did not remember me. He said "you don't want to use Scotch Guard, that stuff is terrible, never use that, what I can do using an actual good solution is much better." And then proceeded to show me a YouTube video of how his solution would protect our velvet sofa, for a small fee of $375. I said "oh but last week you said Scotch Guard was good, for our chairs." He said "I did?" and a look of guilt crossed his face and he laughed and then moved on with the conversation. I did not accept his offer, as you might guess. So it's not that we will never ever enter this establishment again, they have some gorgeous antiques and the store is incredibly well curated. But, we will avoid consulting with store staff and rather with consult with google first, before we give them any money, to be sure that we aren't paying more than we should for a piece of furniture or a service.

Yelp
I went in during Mardi Gras this year and got lost in this awesome store. There is so much history in New Orleans and some of its hidden treasures are here! I was lucky enough to meet the owners Larry and Rachel. They were so incredibly friendly and even more informative about the antiques in their shop. I spent way to much time here in one day but a lot of the antiques were beautiful, in good shape and came with a great story! The staff was great, the furniture was great, the antiques were the best in New Orleans and best part is that it is locally owned by a really nice couple. They had an incredibly touching story about their house being flooded and were still so positive throughout the whole experience. Great store and great people! Thank you Renaissance Interiors. I can't wait to go play in your store again!

Yelp
Unprofessional, borderline rude and no communication, find somewhere else to sell your belongings.

Shannon S.

Yelp
This is a large consignment store that has a great number of very interesting things. The prices range all over the place so you have to shop around and really look at lots of things. I've seen things here I've never seen anywhere else so this is really a great place if you're looking for a unique piece of furniture or household decoration. Definitely one of the more interesting places to shop for home goods.

Yelp
My pregnant wife and I came here on a Saturday to purchase a dresser for our soon-to-be son. She is 34 weeks pregnant so suffice it to say it's a little difficult for her to get around. She was checking out a dresser when she noticed the owner accompanied by two other people briskly walking in her direction. In is haste to show the other couple some furniture, he ran over her. She said "Excuse me!", but he just shrugged it off. This is not OK in the slightest. Even if it were a mistake, it should be acknowledged as such and an apology should be issued. We are in our mid 20's. I am a business owner. You treat every client with respect no matter their age, gender, race, religion, or creed. I felt as though we weren't treated with respect because we were the youngest couple in the store by FAR. I feel as though the employees were genuinely disinterested in their jobs. We weren't asked if we needed help or were generally acknowledged in any way by any of the staff until we notified them that we were going to purchase a particular dresser. On another note, the shop had a fantastic inventory filled with interesting and unique antiques to new and durable pieces of furniture for just about every application. The owners need a crash course in general etiquette and need to pass the info along to their employees. They are not the only consignment shop in the area, and they will lose business based on my observation of their customer service skills.

Yelp
Love me some furniture. My dream is to have a house with a functioning attic where I can store furniture so I can periodically change things around. One of these days...Renaissance Interiors is a great place to periodically check out if you're looking for furniture. The store is quite large and the furniture and other items are priced all over the place. They have much more than just furniture. There is a wide variety of price options but I would say that for the larger pieces the price is on the higher side. But it is a good place to check out to get your creative juices flowing and who knows, maybe you will find that piece you were looking for and for the price you want. When looking for furniture, this place should be included in your search.

Yelp
I have had nothing but negative experiences both as a consigner and a buyer. I have bought total junk there that was misrepresented as an antique. And as a consigner, it is rarely worth the low amount of money you will get. Expect to get about 25% of the items actual value. And if your stuff doesn't sell, rather than let you know so you can come pick it up, it becomes theirs at 100% loss to you. Bad deal. While it may seem impossible to get screwed both as a buyer and a seller, this place makes it happen, and very rudely I might add.

Guy S.

Yelp
I have been carrying around some silverware for a few years and looked to get rid of it for quite some time. I found about Renaissance and took it to them as they sell unwanted items items on consignment. One of the reps, Larry was very helpful! I was told to call in thirty days to see if the items have been sold and when I called them today the told me that they in fact have been sold. I made enough money to pay a months rent and still have enough left over to be very happy. Just to show that one mans trash is another mans treasure.

Todd S.

Yelp
Neat consignment store. Mix of really nice antiques and junk but higher-end for the most part. Tends to be overpriced so be careful and wait for the price to reduce. Remember, though, you may not be the only one waiting for a particular piece to reduce. Also be careful that everything marked as antique may not be what it is promised. Having said that, if you see it, you love it and the price is right, who cares. Overall a nice place to find higher-end second hand stuff.

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
One of my favorite stops on every trip to New Orleans. Never know what unique treasure we'll find!

John S.

Yelp
They used to be better, had more of a mix of high and lower end. Now it's like they don't even want to be bothered with anything less than 50$. And they have raised their prices. I guess since the items will be discounted after the first month, they just up the price that percentage initially. And as Todd S said, not everything is what is claimed. But that could be because of the person consigning. As to the owners/reps, the twin guys and the hot chick are ok, but the older woman with the long blonde hair is abrasive. Still worth checking out, but I like Heirloom Furniture on St Charles better.

LauraLouise G.

Yelp
Got the old bait and switch on an item that I purchased in the store. Apparently they had multiples of this vintage furniture item in the back room and gave the delivery service one that was quite different and not in nice of shape then the one I purchased so they wouldn't have to move the one I did actually want off the floor. Very disappointing.

Ryan L.

Yelp
After spending thousands here (and formally willing to spend thousands more on other projects) I was so turned off so many times by the rude secretary Michelle up front that I just said to hell with it and decided to buy everything from Gregg's Antiques where the prices are better and the ENTIRE staff is friendly and kind

Leigh C.

Yelp
Shopping at Renaissance qualifies as recreation for me. If you love unique decorative items, antiques, and unusual furniture at good prices, this is a must-see. You'll have the most success if you visit often, and walk around the store twice...it's easy to miss things the first time around. Prices can sometimes be inflated, but quality is generally excellent.

Jane D.

Yelp
There are so many antique stores around the NOLA area. The problem with most of these "antique stores" is that they are not antique stores...they are thrift stores. I am not an antique dealer, so I can not verify the authenticity of the furniture in this store. However, the majority of the store (I would estimate 85%+) was furniture. The furniture range from 18th century to 19th century Louis to Midcentury style. There were some very old antiques, as well as midcentury vintage style, all the way to a very traditional style range of furnishing. The store layout was like any other modern day furniture store...an accent table flanked with matching chairs on a rug, and decorative accent. The furniture was arranged like it would be, if it were in a room at your house. There was so much in that store, but it did not feel cluttered and it did not overwhelm with distractions. I can not speak to the attitude of the staff, as it was a busy day. They were assisting other shoppers, and I was not shopping, I was only browsing. On the topic of the cost of items in this store, I will give a little background info. I have had European antique furniture delivered to my home via "white glove service". I have also bought inexpensive thrift store furniture to paint and distress. I found the price of their antiques to be extremely affordable---If you are knowledgeable enough about antiques and feel comfortable that they are not reproductions. I also felt the price was reasonable enough, even if a piece was not an actual antique, it wouldn't matter.......because it was still less expensive than anything you could by new. I left this store with four stars, as i could not rate on an actual experience as a customer (because I didn't interact with any employees), and because of the tight parking. I will definately return to this store....soon!

Bart F.

Yelp
I'm sure they offer good deals if you're shopping, but I was very disappointed in trying to sell something on consignment with Renaissance. My item was sold within the first 40 days, but I didn't hear anything from them for over 60 days. Finally, I went in and they told me that it had indeed sold and that someone on the sales must have worked a deal with shopper for close to 30% off the price I had agreed to with them. They were quick to correct me that it was only 28% off. Of course, as a seller you just have to take their word for it. When they got my check, which was sitting in a box under the counter with no intention of being mailed... (I'm sure they hope that folks will forget and not come get their checks). I nicely expressed my slight disappointment at the amount after they discounted the item so much. The woman behind the counter said in a playful but sardonic tone, "You weren't planning on retiring on it, were you?". Anyway, I'm just not at all impressed with this place. Next time I'll just sell it on Cragislist. It's worth the little extra hassle to get the true value for an item you sell.
