I wanted to share my experience from my recent stay at your hotel (June 19–23), which unfortunately turned out to be one of the most stressful hotel stays I’ve had in years.
I checked in just after midnight on June 19. I was exhausted from traveling and just wanted to settle in and rest. But while pulling the curtain open in room 3068, I saw a cockroach crawling across the carpet. I ducked and screamed, and my boyfriend had to kill it. We called the front desk right away, and thankfully someone helped us move to room 4104 around 1 AM — but by then, the night was already ruined. I had to wake up at 7 AM for a seminar the next morning, so getting barely any sleep was not a great start.
On top of that, the bathtub in 3068 looked pretty bad — the paint was peeling and it looked dirty and worn. It made me uncomfortable even using it. Honestly, I’ve stayed in budget hotels before, and this tub was below even those standards.
The next day, both my boyfriend and I noticed we had bug bites. I had several on my hand, under my ear, and between my fingers. He had some on his arms and legs. It was really uncomfortable and itchy. We reported it again and were asked to pack up and move — again — to room 1099.
We tried to make the best of it, but on the night of June 22, after coming back from dinner, we were kept up by this awful mechanical noise. It sounded like a chain or some kind of motor near the elevator — just on and off, loud enough to keep us awake for a long time. We called the front desk and were told there were no more available rooms because the hotel was full. Again, the staff was nice, but we couldn’t do anything about the noise and didn’t fall asleep until around 2 or 3 AM. We had to be up early again the next day for the last day of our seminar.
By the end of the trip, I was just drained — physically and emotionally. I barely slept for days. I came hoping for a decent place to stay while attending a professional event, and instead, it was a constant cycle of bugs, bites, bad sleep, and packing up over and over.
I’m really disappointed by the entire experience.
