Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe Hotel

"Guests are treated like royalty" at this "pleasingly modern" glass hotel just steps from the landmark for which it is named. The "ultra-chic" Paris-meets-Indonesia design includes an interior garden and elevators in bright colors. With balconies and large bay windows, some with "a gorgeous view of the Eiffel Tower," rooms are contemporary in look. Select from French or Indonesian cuisine at Makassar Restaurant, where views are of the garden. After dinner, sip a cocktail and nibble on bar snacks like homemade macaroons or marinated shrimp at the silver-curtained Makassar Lounge."

Beautiful hotel in a great location! So glad we stayed here last week. Our large room had a comfy bed and all of the American amenities you would expect at a Marriott. Fitness center was perfect! The staff was very helpful and made our 50th anniversary feel special. Breakfast bar was delicious, as were several other restaurants in walking distance. The area seemed lively, but not overly crowded. We throughly enjoyed our time here! Thank you, Arc de Triumph, for a wonderful experience!.

My family and I had a wonderful experience staying here. The service at this hotel is amongst the best, if not the best I have received at any Marriott property. The staff was kind and attentive with inquiries and advice, and saved the day with a problem we faced during and due to the excessive heat with mobility assistance. The rooms felt spacious for those of a large world city, and were comfortable, clean, and with the right mix of amenities. The location felt central to so many great sites and transit options as well.

It was a very pleasant experience. The front desk was very knowledgeable, giving us great restaurant recommendations and also very helpful. We requested distilled water for a C Pap machine and it was in our room quickly. |The room was clean and spacious and the full breakfast buffet was very good.

Our family traveled from Seattle, WA to Paris in April 2025—and thank goodness we stayed at the Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe Hotel! All because of Joanna, who works there and made our experience truly unforgettable.||From my very first call to the hotel, I was connected with Joanna. Through countless emails and helpful conversations, she patiently answered all my questions and helped us craft a personalized itinerary for our first family trip to Paris. Her thoughtful planning ensured we saw as much of the city as possible without overwhelming our 7-year-old daughter.||One of the highlights Joanna recommended was a day at the Jardin d’Acclimatation. It turned out to be one of the best days we’ve ever had as a family—so many laughs, adventures, and memories. We would’ve never discovered this magical place without her.||She also went above and beyond by calling restaurants to make dinner reservations for us each night. Anytime I ran into a language barrier, she stepped in right away to help and keep everything on track.||Every evening when we returned to the hotel, Joanna checked in to see how our day went and offered help with planning dinner or activities for the next day. Her kindness and attention to detail made our entire stay feel effortless.||On our final day, we returned from one of our excursions to find our room decorated with balloons, cookies, a handwritten note, and even a caricature drawing of our family out exploring the city—based on one of the outings Joanna had helped us plan. It was such a joyful, thoughtful surprise and the perfect way to wrap up an incredible trip.||Thank you, Joanna, from the bottom of our hearts. You are truly the best! We appreciated you from the moment we booked until the moment we left. Your thoughtfulness, generosity, and care made our time in Paris so special.||With gratitude,|Erin Billmaier and family

The service was superb! Godwin and team made my mom and I feel right at home. From the moment we walked into the hotel we were treated like VIPs. ||The staff was so attentive, hospitable, and catered to our every need. Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! ❤️. And the Views from our suite was spectacular. ❣️|This was my mom’s first time in Paris and you all made her feel so Special. She hasn’t stopped talking about our Paris trip and how wonderful you all were. And she especially loved the accommodations and how close we were to the Arc de Triomphe.||We will definitely be back!

Honestly, my experience at this hotel was just amazing, and that's thanks to everyone from the front desk, housekeeping team to the folks in the dining area. Seriously, every single person I met were fantastic. But I really have to give a special shout-out to Lavanya. She was incredibly welcoming, sweet, and just so kind, making us feel instantly comfortable and truly adding a wonderful personal touch to our stay. She really sets the bar high for great hospitality!

Lavania In the bar/cafe was great. Took care of our order and to go room order. Service was great! Looking forward to a quick bite near by. Just go down stairs. Good menu and good service. Drinks are good too and can take the rest up stairs with you.

The location was great and walkable to most attractions. Staff was amazing! Rooms were comparable to American standards, good size, well cooling AC, large bathtub & hot water! Great value for the money.

Yelp
Great location, friendly employees, great restaurant, and large well appointed rooms. Very walkable area and no problems finding great sidewalk cafes, doorman even walked us to his favorite and introduced us to the staff ensuring we got VIP treatment. Icing on the cake was my proposal in the lounge having champagne. The staff added balloons and took photos! We felt at home away from home here. It doesn't get any better than that.

Yelp
This was our first time in this location. We had a great time and the loans facilities were excellent. Most importantly, the services that we received from Remy at the guest services was outstanding. He was friendly, very willing and ready to help us in anyway possible. He went out of his each time to deliver great service to us. We also interfaced with Francois in the lobby who was extremely helpful to us. Well Done Remy and Francois.

Yelp
This is not quite a 5 star hotel as advertised BUT the staff and location are definitely 5 star level. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms were silent. No noise from neighbors or slamming hallways doors. The balcony views of the Paris skyline are lovely. Thanks to the Rennaisance staff for the upgrade and making our week perfect in every way.

Yelp
Located very close to everything it was so convenient to walk around to shopping at high end stores, pharmacy, groceries, laundromat, lots of food choices! The front desk was very nice always greet you with a smile, and a hello. The elevator was a bit slow, but they're only working with one at the time of our visit. Rooms are clean, and spacious. The views from the room are some city views it was nice. The only issues we encountered were with housekeeping they weren't very friendly. We asked for clean towels while we were there on our 11 day stay, and we were given attitude until we gave a tip then this person changed her negative attitude to a smile. It shouldn't be like that though she should've just done her job. Also the downstairs restaurant serves a complimentary breakfast we were given such bad attitude, and service by one of the employees down there it became uncomfortable when she was there so we just skipped it all together on the days she was there. One example the young lady refused to sit us by the window, but then sat the next couple there. It didn't make any sense. Everyone spoke English for the most part, and that was very helpful to us as well.

Yelp
The price has gone up and their manners have gone down. This used to be one of my favorite hotels, particularly in the Arc de Triomphe area of Paris. After my recent, and what will be my last, visit earlier this week, it's off my list entirely. Why? For nearly 500 Euros per night you have lots of other options. They've priced themselves into a league where they no longer are competitive. The rooms are OK, on the larger side for a European hotel, typically with a lot of glass so they're bright, but apart from that, they're nothing special. Worse yet, I remember this place as warm and friendly. Now, they, consistently are just rude. And I'm not some American snowflake who thinks all French people are rude. I've lived in France for 5 years, speak the language competently, and have a reasonable grasp on the culture. That notwithstanding, these people are RUDE. Front desk: rude, inefficient, tons of paperwork, make everything complicated, long lines, slow progress. Took forever to get our room (well after 4pm) and boy they were quick to call twice after noon to remind us to get out of it. Even the bartenders were unfriendly. One (a non-native speaker himself, so extra chutzpah credits) made fun of my accent. Wut? The other just seemed to like to give me sh*t. Totally bizarre. Elevators: in tune with the vibe, slow. Had to wait forever. Was one (still) broken? It sure seem to be sitting on 4 a lot while the other did all the work. Doormen were friendly but inefficient. The guys at the podium outside seemed to like talking to each other more than the customers. Long story short: I used to really like this place. Not anymore. Prices up and manners down is a bad combination, particularly when you're an OK property in unremarkable location.

Yelp
This hotel is just ok. The rooms are a bit cramped and the beds are full sized not queens. The tub/shower combination is extremely high off the ground so if you are under 6 feet you need to be really careful getting in and out of the tub. The breakfast in the restaurant is delicious and bountiful and the bar staff is particularly lovely but the rest of the hotel leaves much to be desired. The front desk staff is cordial but isn't the definition of hospitable. The location is good if you are looking to see the Arc de Triomphe easily and get to the Metro quickly. Otherwise I'd stay elsewhere.
google avatar

Yelp
Decent room. Housekeeping stole our cash, ~$500-600 in USD and Euros. For a "5 star" hotel" I expect much more.
google avatar

Yelp
Do not pay for an upgrade in this hotel, it is not worth the money. The views are not great. You see the tip of Eiffel Tower in one corner of your room, I don't recommend. Also, the restaurant staff refused to make us omelettes on Bastille Day... restaurant and kitchen were open. They gave us no further explanation. I guess it was just laziness?

Yelp
Rarely has a hotel exceeded my every expectation, so count this as a first in my book. We stayed here for 3 nights on an award stay and successfully was able to use my suite night upgrades for a top floor room with a view of the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triumphe. The staff was incredibly pleasant from check-in to concierge services to the restaurant staff. We had free breakfast as part of our stay which had a nice mix of hot and cold options. The location itself was very close to several Metro options and walkable to plenty of tourist locations. Really glad we chose to stay here and that they are part of the Marriott brand currently.

Yelp
Stayed here during our November vacation in Paris. We were booked in one of their Prestige Wave rooms with a view of the Arc De Triomphe; very conveniently located to metro stations and bus stop to the airport. It was also extremely close to Champs-Élysées and made shopping there a breeze. We found Paris to be a very walkable city so many times, we opted to take longer strolls to tourist attractions including the Louvre. The room itself was very spacious with a king size bed and various thoughtful amenities including slippers, cute Tokyo Milk toiletries, complimentary bottled water and a Nespresso machine. The only thing odd about our room was that our shower did not have a door or even a curtain so inevitably, water will end up spraying out and soaking the floor in spite of the floor mat. We were puzzled by such a design. Otherwise, we had a very comfortable stay here.
google avatar

Linda R.

Yelp
When we checked into our $500 a night room, we were told that we were upgraded to a prestige room. I don't know exactly what was upgraded about the room. The carpet was stained. The balcony had one chair, which considering the view was the roof top, we weren't spending anytime out there. The room had one chair at the desk and no where else to sit other then the bed. Breakfast was included and was good and had a large selection to choose from . Unfortunately, if you wanted coffee or tea you had to track down people The hotel is in a great central location, near the Arc de Triomphe and it is beautiful. Help to hail cabs was non-existent, so we used Uber. All in all it was an okay stay. For $500 a night I expected more from the room. It did not detract from my Paris visit.

Yelp
We stayed 3 nights here and were generally happy with location and cleanliness. It took about an hour to reach the hotel from the airport via taxi as it was morning rush hour. The location is excellent! Steps from the Arc de Triomphe, the Charles de Gaulle etoile station and Champs Élysées. The room was spacious and very clean. We did not use any hotel services or the restaurant. The concierge team had emailed me prior to our arrival and I booked le louvre tickets and front of the line guided tour of Eiffel Tower with them. They confirmed everything via email and I felt this was a safer option than booking via trip advisor as I was not familiar with the company on trip advisor. Upon arrival at the hotel, they handed me an envelope with the tickets and the dates printed outside the envelope. I verified we had 2 tickets for each but I should have examined each ticket thoroughly. The louvre tickets were fine but the Eiffel Tower tickets had the wrong date printed on them. They stated May but we were in June. Not even sure how they would have printed a date that was already passed?? The company blamed the concierge and the concierge blamed the tour company. After wasting over an hour getting to the tower, waiting half an hour at the meeting point, then calling the tour company, we could not get in. Their later tour was sold out as were all tours for the following 3 days! The line at the tower was thousands of people deep so we left....angry and disappointed. After discussing the error with the hotel to great extent, we were obviously refunded for the tickets and they paid for our taxi to the train station the next day. It did not take away from our extreme disappointment at wasting a day and not going up the tower. The staff were polite and professional in dealing with our anger and disappointment.

Yelp
Rooms nice and clean. And for Paris standard, rooms and bathrooms are much bigger than local hotels. Locations the best part, walking distance to Champs-Elysées and you can see the Arc De Triomphe from the hotel. The only downside is there's no restaurant outside of the cafe for breakfast. But, plenty of restaurant within walking distance I.e. Cesar bar and restaurant across the street. I would highly recommend this hotel when you go to Paris.

Yelp
This was a fabulous hotel, smack-dab in the center of the beautiful city of Paris, only blocks from the Metro, Arc de Triomphe, the famous Champs-Élysées and all of the sights and great street-side cafés... The staff was amazing .. From the desk staff to the housekeeping (the US housekeeping could take some training tips from the French--they came in our room MULTIPLE times a a day to tidy up and whenever we came and went it was re-cleaned) .. I have never had such good service from a hotel in the states. Best customer service ever. The room was large, modern; comfortable and with many fine amenities. The food in the dining room was excellent and the concierge service was extremely helpful for booking dinner reservations, scheduling tour guides, and getting a driver back to the airport, etc. They had a wonderful buffet breakfast every morning for us in the dining room. Every time we came and went through the lobby we were greeted by polite staff with big smiles. It was refreshing to see such a high level of service from a hotel staff who seemed to really value their customers. We will be back in the future.

Yelp
Arrived at the Renaissance Paris hotel just after Christmas, and of course the hotel was decorated fantastically. Seriously what else would you expect ? The Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe Hotel is of course a very cool place like most of the Renaissance line. Upon walking in, the bell staff offered assistance, and helped us to the front desk. The Staff at the front desk were of course very cool and very professional staff. The Check-in couldn't have been smoother. We received our room keys and ventured up to the room. Upon entering the room.. this is where the wheels feel off of the great experience. We walked in and we thought the room was under renovation. There were a few boards laying on the floor. I called the front desk and they said they'd send maintenance up to look into it. The Maintenance guy looks at it, and says, "you need a new room", he indicated he could clean it up, but that we should really get a better room for having to deal with this. So far we hadn't really dealt with anything. So I went down to the front desk, explained what was going on. Immediately the front desk gal says... that's no good, let's see... and she says, yes, let's upgrade you to (insert room level that I can't remember now). I get the keys, we haul our luggage to our new room... oh ya... The room faces Wagram, and in the background above the buildings.. ya, the Eiffel Tower. So much better than our back alley view from the prior room. The room was very modern, very clean and a fantastic view. Even though the room faced the busy street, the noise was minimal. The Renaissance doesn't have a club lounge like other Marriott properties, but the front desk gave us vouchers for breakfast in the restaurant. Even though we were a party of 4, we had enough vouchers for all of us. The breakfast was a buffet, and definitely one of the better breakfasts buffets I've experienced. The restaurant staff were, just like the front desk staff, professional and very good. Overall, I REALLY like the Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe Hotel, and would absolutely go back when I go back to Paris again. The Renaissance, just like all of Paris, just knows how to class things up. The location of the Renaissance is fabulous as well. Very easy to walk to most everything or nearby metro stop.

Yelp
The rooms are much bigger than typical European hotels. Modern with dark wood. Bathrooms are great. With 2 plugs you can use for more than a razor. Fitness center is decent with up to date equipment. Breakfast buffet is 30 euro but full American flare True mixologist working the bar 2 min walk to the Arc I would stay again

Yelp
I absolutely recommend this hotel if you are visiting Paris. Its in a great location close to the shopping district on Champs Elysees in the 8th. You can literally see the Arc de Troimphe from the hotel which is only about 3 blocks from it and the train station. Inside the hotel is very modern and trendy. The rooms we very big in comparison to your typical European hotel which is a major plus! So, my guest and I had plenty of space to walk around with out bumping into one another. I found all of the hotel's staff to be extremely helpful and willing to go above and beyond to make our stay comforta1ble. Shout out to Rashida who helped us navigate Paris and tracked down one our lost bags from Air France. The hotel offers a full breakfast buffet with a variety options as well. Tip: This hotel is very expensive. However, I recommend you continually shop around on various sites to get the best deal.

Yelp
Disclaimer: I have the Ambassador status with Marriott. I was thrilled by the service at this hotel. Hands down, one of the best I have experienced. The "navigator" / concierge put together an itinerary for us of activities to do around the city. They were knowledgeable about public transport and the impact of the strikes on them. Also, they were extremely quick to bring water / room service and even were able to fetch me a candle for my mom's birthday cake. They also gave us a lot of welcome gifts (ranging from cocktails to macaroons) to add a personal touch. Location is also incredible. Close to many metro lines and a stones throw away from Arc de Triumph and Champs Elysees. Would definitely stay here again next time I am in Paris

Yelp
Really enjoyed this hotel. Very modern, which isn't my style, but it was nicely upkept. Enjoyed the free wifi which was really fast. Service was excellent. Also really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast that came when we booked. Great selection of warm items like eggs and sausage, and cereals, pastries, etc. Their pain au chocolat was very good! This is a great location to the Champs Elysee, and also walking distance to fabulous outdoor markets and restaurants. I noticed that room cleaning was not very fast though and often occurred really late in the day (like 3 or 4 pm) which is inconvenient if you want to come back to your room and change/get dressed for dinner. Other than that, it was a nice stay and I would stay here again.

Yelp
This Renaissance Hotel near the Arc de Triompe in Paris is absolutely beautiful. The service and the staff are amazing. Their focus is customer service and having you have a wonderful experience. They certainly succeeded. The staff speak English very well. A special thank you to the concierge, Antoine. He helped us quite a bit. We had a lovely buffet breakfast and we were greeted with champagne and macaroons upon our arrival. The rooms are quite spacious, have all modern amenities, and are quite comfortable.

Yelp
Simply - they genuinely do not care. They do not recognize, care for, or value their guests including Diamond Elite members. They provide excuses for poor service and state things will be altered for future guests, but nothing does. If you plan on staying at an opulent location with solid guest service, do not select this property. I would recommend staying elsewhere. I would hate to see how a standard (non-SPG member) guest would be treated here. I gave them the opportunity to recover, but all they provided were excuses. Bonne chance, if you do decide to stay here. Happy travels.

Yelp
Great hotel in a perfect location! Not too far from everything but not too close either so you have a little break from the crowds. The hotel is clean and modern from the lobby to the rooms. They also have an incredibly friendly and helpful staff and breakfast is great in the morning. We stayed on the top floor in one of the rooms overlooking the Arc and Eiffel Tower. The balcony was pretty big and the views were fantastic at night. You could see the Eiffel light show and that was really neat. Great experience!

Yelp
This hotel has been my home away from home 2-3 weeks a month for the last 8 months. The staff and management is very very welcoming, very warm, very helpful and I consider all of them friends and my second family. The General manager Mr. Lemmerlling has assembled a fantastic and very professional staff. I also want to thank the entire staff for making me so comfortable here and making my wife's first trip to Paris so wonderful. Merci' beaucoup, Mr. De Los Santos Today the amazing staff/friends/family at this hotel continue give the best of themselves, which I truly appreciate and love. They have gone out of their way to celebrate my 200th night in their hotel, they are all family and dear friends. Thank you so very much for everything you do! Love you all Mr. De Los Santos

Yelp
Location, location, location...other than that, this hotel was disappointing. Experienced multiple room cleanliness issues with this hotel while staying for a few days. Hotel front desk staff remedied the issues promptly, but you should never have standard room issues like we did when paying hundreds of Euros per night. Also had minor billing issues which went unresolved. Concierge staff was great and one of the primary reasons for earning three stars.

Yelp
Possibly THE BEST hotel I have ever stayed in my life!! My husband took me to Paris for my 30th Bday, the hotel was amazing!! Perfect location, perfect staff, absolutely PERFECT customer service! The staff spoke English and Spanish!! The night of my bday, we got back to the room to find balloons and a huge tiramisu cake!!! Ps... My husband DID NOT order this extra service, the hotel did it completely on their own!! Seriously, I would not ever stay at another hotel when in Paris! This Marriott was over the top awesome!! Thank you Marriott for making my bday probably the best bday of my life!!!

Yelp
Three night stay. Very clean and modern. Everyone at the front reception is very nice - especially Zoe who welcomed us after a long day. Our room was good sized for Europe with two full/queen sized beds. Bathroom was modern and clean. Came back after touring all day to a nice surprise of macaroons and juice from Zoe! Great location to the metro which we used throughout our stay. Would recommend!

Yelp
First of all let me say this was our third hotel in Paris. From the second we entered the Renaissance the service was superb! They try their best to greet us and the manager Maxamillion personally took us up to our room. We mentioned we needed a couple of things and everything was taken care of and brought up immediately. They hand out evians at the counter, fresh flowers and candy are put out daily. I especially liked the personal touches of welcome wine , macaroons, and little mints by our bed which were thoughtful. Jason was nice as well sending wine on our last night. We also loved everyone at the concierge who helped us plan our days and meals. Most importantly "what you see is what you get" all those gorgeous pictures of the hotel and rooms are exactly what you get. For instance, the beautiful wallpaper, modern aesthetic, and spacious room. We were so pleased since other hotels can be completely different in real life, especially in Europe (for ex: le collectionnuer gross!!) The scene at the Renaissance hotel is hip and cool and the vibe is welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend!!!

Yelp
A nice modern hotel on a surprisingly quiet street close by to anything you need. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Yelp
This hotel was beautiful. Our rooms were lovely, the beds were comfy, the staff was Friendly, and the restaurant food was really good, yet VERY pricey. On my birthday, they left me some nice macaroons and an adult beverage in my room as well as a card. Had a great weekend here with my fiancé and would love to come back :)

Yelp
Came here with my wife and 14 month old baby for three nights. The hotel was fantastic. The reception team is probably one of the nicest I have met at any Marriott property. We are good elite and they extended all benefits to us and more. Greeted by smiles everywhere. Breakfast was great. Rooms are spacious, modern and well appointed. Bathroom was perfect. Location is amazing. This is a fantastic hotel and my favorite choice for a stay in Paris.

Yelp
Fabulous, fabulous and fabulous! My stay at the Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe Hotel last week from Sept 30 to October 6 was amazing. The hotel is very clean, comfortable and well kept. The staff was exceptional and went above and beyond to make sure that every moment of my stay was memorable. All the staff were great, but in particular Rashid at checkin and Pierre at the concierge desk. We arrived at the hotel at 5 am. Rashid did everything he could to make sure we were comfortable until our room was ready, offering coffee, croissants and breakfast to us. Pierre was amazing in helping us schedule dinners, trips, etc. I would gladly stay at this property again and will highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
I stayed at the Renaissance for one week in October 2012 and it was the best vacations I have ever had. I chose the hotel because of Marriott Reward points but would recommend it to anyone whether they get the Rewards benefits or not. While the hotel wasn't the most plush hotel that I have stayed,it was overall my best experience. I speak marginal French and made every attempt to communicate in the language as best I could. The only employees who didn't speak good English were the housekeepers. My favorite employees were the bellmen. They knew I was a female traveling alone and I felt they made every attempt to look out for my best interest. They mapped out everywhere I wanted to go and helped me plan my week. "Don't go to Versailles on weekends -- too many people -- or on Wednesdays -- too many school children...Get to the Louvre and Orsay when it opens or it will be too crowded". They even directed me to where they would meet their friends for coffee and macrons so that I could have an authentic French experience and even told me how to carry my purse to avoid pick pockets. I ate breakfast in the restaurant every morning (comp breakfast with Platinum status), and it was delicious. I think the price is a bit steep if I it wasn't free (around 20 Euros). Buffet is a big meal which is odd for France. Full spread of meats (including smoked salmon), cheeses, pastries, oatmeal, egges, etc. The one thing I learned, if you like Starbucks coffee, don't order Cafe Americanne -- it was too weak for my liking. My room was on the top floor on the back side of the building. While there was no view, it was very quiet. I had a king-sized bed, good sized desk, modern chair, very nice bath including robe and slippers, and a small refrigerator that doubled as a mini bar. There were ample drawers and a small closet: plenty of room for a woman who over packs. There was a small safe, enough for an ipad, jewelry and cash. The bed was very comfortable and consistent with what I expect from the Marriott - Renaissance chain. The housekeeping staff brought me foam pillows very quickly upon request. The room was always very clean and I had no problems with anything missing. I didn't use the exercise room because I walked so much during my trip, but it was a full gym with complimentary cold beverages. There was a staffed business center who helped me print up some documents that I needed. They were very helpful and went over and above the call of duty. If you want a hotel where you can get an authentic French experience, this is not the hotel for you. The majority of the guests were American, particularly those on business travel. However, the Renaissance Arc de Triumph filled the niche I needed, which was a safe, clean and upscale hotel with easy access to the metro stations.

Yelp
Stayed here for 12 days for business and the overall experience was very good. The staff were every helpful and friendly. Can't beat the location, so convenient to many restaurants, shopping, and other attractions. Because we were also celebrating my wife's birthday, the hotel did send us a delicious dessert to our room -- very nice touch. Breakfast buffet at the hotel is very good and there are nice selections of hot, bread/pastries, and others to choose from. You can also order eggs to order. Overall, dining at the hotel restaurant is good with reasonable price. The only complaint I would have is for housekeeping. The room was not cleaned very well the 12 days I was there, only had decaf coffee in the room, so had to ask for regular coffee - was not very consistent in refilling in-room coffee, and not once did housekeeping leave any shampoo - luckily brought our own. We did have "privacy" notice on door on some days, but that should never be the reason the room was not cleaned well when we did asked for housekeeping.

Yelp
Yay! This is the fanciest hotel I have ever stayed at. I mean, it was located right by the Arc de Triomphe, there was a doorman, and an extremely luxe breakfast. I actually stayed here for free, thanks to a year of staying at a Marriott for work. I'd saved up enough points to enjoy three nights here, and it was awesome. The rooms were huge (compared to the other hotels I've stayed at in Paris) and the bed was super comfortable. I loved the bathroom because it was so luxe and the bath was amazing. It always skeeves me out a little to take a bath in a hotel, but after a week and a half of exploring France and walking our feet to death, a good soak was more than welcome. As a Marriott elite member, we were greeted with a snack and champagne, which was so lovely. The amazing breakfast was also complimentary. There were pastries and baguettes and hot food (sausages, potatoes, roasted vegetables, etc.) and you could get eggs to order. There were several types of juices and an array of baby-sized jars of jams, honey, ketchup, and mustard (several of which we took as "souvenirs). The lobby is beautiful and if you're lucky enough to get a view of the Arc de Triomphe, then you're in for a treat. The staff are extremely friendly and kind and they remember you, which is both creepy and an incredible show of hospitality.

Yelp
Excellent experience! Manager "Marie" treated us with a surprise bottle of Champagne when knowing it was our honeymoon! We are very happy with this experience and we highly recommend it!

Yelp
Husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and I'm inclined to give this hotel 3.5 stars. The first half of our trip to Paris we stayed here and the second half we stayed at the Park Hyatt Paris Vendome, so that definitely attributes to my review of this hotel as I can't help but compare the two. The staff here are very kind, welcoming, and helpful. Our first night, we upgraded the rest of our stay to a room with a balcony. I believe it was 800 or so euros to upgrade the room for 3 nights, this is in addition to the room rates we already paid. We had a view of the Paris skyline and as they are located right by the Arc De Triomphe, we had a beautiful view of that. It was amazing. It's just a shame we couldn't spend too much time out there or enjoy our breakfast on the patio as it was just way too cold. Breakfast was included with our room, which we could enjoy either downstairs at their restaurant, or we could order room service free of charge. The breakfast is great -- it includes a beautiful assortment of pastries and bread, yogurt, cereal, fruit, juices, and best of all -- a hot bar with a yummy assortment of veggies, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. You can also order an omelet separately. The upgraded room also provided us unlimited access to the minibar, my husband enjoyed that. Every night the cleaning staff leaves a little treat nearby your pillow -- I loved that extra touch. They left us cute metal bookmarks, luggage tags, and candies. The staff also sent up some macarons, a sweet note, and a bottle of champagne as we were on our honeymoon. The rooms themselves are not very spacious, but that's pretty typical in Paris. My one gripe about the bathroom is that the first night we stayed in our original room, it had a bathtub, but from the second night onwards, we stayed in an upgraded room with a balcony, but the bathroom had a very small, oddly designed shower. It had no door and was just a glass panel between the shower space and the toilet. The tile in the bathroom also looked to be a little worn out and the grout was a little dirty/dingy looking. Not very luxurious. I'd assume that an upgraded room would in fact be upgraded, but essentially it was a carbon copy of our original standard room, but with a smaller, less luxurious bathroom and an added balcony. Also, while the location is great and very close to the Arc De Triomphe and near a metro stop, the food/dining and shopping options within walking distance are not great.

Yelp
Since our usual Paris hotel - Marriott Champs-Elysees - was booked, I turned to Trip Advisor / Yelp for a little help finding something for the past 3 nights. Here are my thoughts: Let's starts with the good, shall we? * Location is excellent - near the Metro, the Champs-Elysees, parks, and good restaurants. * This property is on the newer, more modern side (as compared to Marriott Champs-Elysees) * Staff is friendly. * Rooms are a good size for Paris. * The small balcony was a nice surprise. Now, unfortunately, it's time for the bad... * At the rates this hotel charges, I expected much better service. Instead, when I tried to reach the concierge, the phone would ring and ring. The actual concierge desk was understaffed and we always had to wait a while to be helped. Check out was a production since there was just one person trying to attend to a long line. Obviously this hotel is trying to cut costs by cutting staff. * Housekeeping was just okay...on one day they didn't show up at all and we had to call them when we returned to our room around 4pm. Trash wasn't emptied daily, nor were floors cleaned regularly. * There were small issues with our room: shower head leaked randomly throughout our stay, and quite a bit, coffee machine broke down, carpet was dilapidated and dirty (this bothered me quite a bit). * And finally, note that engineers / housekeeping sometimes don't bother to knock before entering. This happened multiple times so we started putting on the safety lock, even during the day. Scary. Upon bringing these issues to the attention of management, apologies were always given and attempts were made to rectify the situation, sometimes they were able to fix things (coffee machine) and sometimes they weren't (carpet). But honestly, at the rates this hotel charges I wouldn't expect these issues in the first place. The Bottom Line: I have no plans to return.

Yelp
Lovely hotel. Very modern and clean. Epic location, just a 5 minute walk from arc de triumph. In fact, we could see it from our window. Also a 10 minute walk from champs elyse. I definitely recommend this hotel.

The Paris sky view suites are the way to go! Hotel is in a perfect location for shopping, eating and attractions.

Yelp
I have very mixed feelings. Hotel is central, staff very nice, modern look and feel, bed very comfy, so far for the recommended part. BUT, for 430 Euro/night I expect at least free internet. I expect to get a table in the hotels restaurant - which was not the case in the more club and party style restaurant/bar. I expect a room with all comfort, including the small details, curtain should work, enough plugs around the bed should be there, bathtub instead of shower only, breakfast should offer more than watered eggs and two sorts of cheese... So overall not more than 3 stars for me, would not come back.

Yelp
Great hotel - Modern, but not too pretentious, clean, and really attentive and friendly staff! Best hotel we've stayed at on our recent Europe trip. Would definitely try to book this hotel if we're ever in Paris again (got it through a priceline deal). Location is really good, between the Ternes and Charles de Gaulle - Etiole Metro stops. The staff speaks perfect English. Many of the customers we overheard in the course of our stay were also pretty clearly American. The staff is really nice, and appear sincere. Very helpful, although we didn't need their help too much - probably should have, to make dinner reservations (a must, we've learned, for some of the better reviewed restaurants - Yelp working in Europe! Whodathunkit? Wish we used Yelp on our last European vacation!). Rooms are spacious with modern appointments. Well decorated, and again very clean. Bathroom was also spacious. They provide slippers! The bed was very comfortable. No free room wifi/internet, which was a bummer, but nice strong and fast signal in the lobby. I guess it ultimately depends on the price you get for your room - we named our own price via Priceline, but would definitely seek this place out again. It's rated as a 5 star hotel on there, and my wife and I very definitely agree. So I give it 5 stars here as well.

Yelp
Very nice staff. Good location. Starbucks is just down the street. Rooms very modern. Breakfast was free and good. The only problem was the internet was down our whole stay. While the staff did offer use of their computers, still a little inconvenient.

Yelp
It was hard to come up with a review for this place. It's a very nice, modern hotel. Way too fancy for my taste though. When we checked in, Morgane couldn't have been nicer. She even took us up to our room and went through the map of the area with us. The location is good if you're looking to be close to the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees but with that, comes a bunch of tourists and touristy spots so it's pretty impossible to find any "hidden Paris" gems around. But it is nice and close to get the Eiffel Tower (by cab) and all that. My parents are Elite members so everyone at the front, save for one Concierge guy, was really friendly usually. Breakfast was good and they had a nice selection of things. The hostesses were always very nice. The server only started being nice to us once my mom would leave him a tip though. Totally used to that in the States but I guess things have changed in France where you have to give something to get something in return now (you used to not have to tip at most restaurants). Since there were 3 of us we had to get the Junior room with a roll away bed for me. It was a really nice size though and we had a nice view of the street below and buildings across. The roll away bed was unfortunately super uncomfortable. We had some problems like another reviewer mentioned with housekeeping. We had to call and ask for an extra towel almost every single day because housekeeping wouldn't replace it (which maybe be a corporate rule, who knows). The tiny trash can in the bathroom also wasn't emptied the first night and if we had the Privacy Please thing up for even a little while in the morning, they wouldn't come back to clean it until almost 3 o clock. One day we were relaxing in our room between morning and evening activities and three separate people came by for water, coffee and cleaning. Probably not a bad thing but I've never stayed anywhere where that's happened before and made it a little hard to rest. My dad was ironing one day too and the outlet fuse completely blew which broke the iron and shut off the TV. They fixed the outlet quickly and we got a new iron the next day. The rooms are also pretty worn down. The carpet was really dirty and there was lots of wear and tear. I needed to use the Business Center to print out something for my job too and it was never open when I needed to get in and it wasn't something the front desk would have been able to help me with unfortunately. Paris has gotten super expensive over the years so it's hard to find an affordable place to stay at in general and we definitely had a decent enough stay here but I don't think it was nice enough to justify the cost and the housekeeping/room stuff was a little frustrating.

Yelp
Our stay at the Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe April 21-23, 2018 was not what I've come to expect from Marriott hotels and after this experience am ending my Marriott rewards membership to go with another company. I planned a weekend in Paris to celebrate my mom's birthday and the trip and hotel service were not stellar at all. Upon arriving at the hotel our room was not available, despite me sending ahead our schedule detailing our arrival time as well as requesting early check-in. The hotel staff did not send any correspondence stating our room would not be available upon our arrival so I was a bit put aback when this occurred. The hotel staff apologized and then offered complimentary drinks at the bar for the inconvenience. I initially thought this was a kind gesture until the bar staff told my mother she could not eat at the breakfast buffet because it was for registered hotel guests only. I've stayed at many Marriott properties and have always been given the option to either pay for the meal or have the meal charged to my mom. However, I've never heard of such of a policy in which only registered guests are permitted to eat at the hotel restaurant. We then decided to go out and sightsee instead of waiting for our room, which turned out to be a big mistake. It seems the hotel gave away our room while we were out because upon arriving back at the hotel that night we were given a king room, when my reservation was for a queen double. When I went downstairs to inform the staff of the error, I was met with an inquiry for my hotel confirmation rather than an apology about the mistake. The representative then informed me they were completely booked and out of rooms for the evening, and she would not be able to do anything to assist me immediately. Once again, this has never been my experience with a Marriott hotel but I began to realize our stay at the Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe was not going to be a typical stay. The events of the next morning cemented that sentiment, when the cab driver ordered and reserved by the concierge at the Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe physically assaulted and robbed us. On the morning of I went to the concierge stand to inquire about the status of the taxi. I was informed taxi was there, and the concierge then took my bag out to the taxi. I then turned around to go get my mom. By the time I walked to the elevator my mom was stepping out of the elevator. We proceeded to place her luggage in the taxi trunk and hopped into the taxi. As the taxi pulls off I noticed the taxi meter was at 7.70€. When I asked the driver why the meter was running he ignored me. I then inquired if he spoke English. He replied no and started speaking French. As the taxi trip continued we then noticed the taxi driver pressing a button on the meter to increase the fare amount by 6.5€. I'd done fare estimates for taxi rides from the hotel to the station and knew the range should be 7-12€. However, when we arrived at Gare du Nord the fare was 26.3€, there was no traffic on the streets and we only had to stop for 2 lights during the journey. We got our bags from the trunk ourselves, and the driver comes to the back of the vehicle. I handed him 10€, because that's what the fare would've been had he not started the meter early and increased the fare during travel. The driver reacted by getting very aggressive with me. He grabbed my arm and started yanking it, when I pulled away he then grabbed my bag and I was struggling to get free from him. He said he wanted more, and I simply said no due to him manipulating the fare. Once I broke free my mom and I took a few more steps and then he runs up and grabs my mom's arm. We then started to struggle to get her free. As she started to become free, the driver pushed her in the chest, yanks her purse, grabs her iPhone out of the purse, and takes off running. The momentum of the event caused my mother to be pulled in the opposite direction so she then she falls on her both knees and subsequently her entire front. I took after him in an attempt to retrieve her phone, but also trying to find help. I was able to catch up to the driver, and we began wrestling over my mom's phone. I then started screaming for someone to help because he was robbing us. While we were still struggling over the phone, a business man in the area came to our assistance. I began to explain the events to him and the driver was explaining his side as well. However, the cab driver told him we were trying to leave without paying at all, that he had the meter running because he had to wait 10min for us, and that the meter started when the concierge placed my bag in the taxi. I explained I was not trying not to pay, but the fare he charged us was inflated due to the various tactics he pulled during the ride. The business man assisted us in getting the phone back from the driver, and we walked into the station. The driver then comes running after us again, yelling for the po

Yelp
We loved everything about this hotel... from the time we checked in until our departure 8 days later. The "navigator" was an amazing help, the restaurant service was amazing... especially the hostess Meng. Definitely a place I'll repeat.

Yelp
I am platinum elite and have a lot of experience at Marriott hotels. This hotel is superb. The decor is ultra modern. The hallways and rooms are dark espresso wood. They are small but everything in Europe is small. We were on our honeymoon and we got champagne and french macaroons. The staff can be a little stuffy at times. But they can also be very helpful. We had a bad experience checking in but after that the staff was more than helpful They had a love locks thing that we got free wine and put a lock on one. I lost my charger and the concierge had a stash of all kinds of chargers. The concierge also directed us to a great french market and little know french restaurant L'annex. The hotel is located very close to the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysee. It is a small hotel but we'll worth it. You can even get a balcony that has a view of the Arc.

Yelp
Just now leaving for Amsterdam via the train after spending 5 wonderful days and nights in Paris at the Renaissance Arc de Triumph Hotel. The hotel was fantastic! Our room overlooked Rue Wagram on the 6th floor and was spacious, comfortable and super quiet. Our windows faced the street and were soundproof as were the walls, enabling 5 great nights sleep and comfort. The daily breakfast was awesome and included everything under the sun. The entire staff was friendly, courteous and couldn't have made our stay more enjoyable. Lastly, the location, right down the street from Arc de Triumph and a 2 minute walk to either metro Ternes or a 5 minute walk to metro Etoille made the location perfect. We would stay here again and again and would strongly suggest that you do the same.

Yelp
Fabulous hotel! Spacious and immaculate rooms. Staff was warm and friendly. Service was superb . Minutes away from two different Metro stops. Can't say enough about this fine property!
