The hotel was not as advertised and if I had known what it was like, I would not have booked it. We booked a deluxe tower room, expecting a view of the harbour. But what we got was a dark, dingy room with a view of a busy street and bus interchange.
It was all but deserted in the public spaces, restaurants and shops were all closed, there was no room service (hardly any service at all actually, reception rarely staffed, no-one to provide towels at the pool, no bar at the pool etc).
Even the location was a disappointment, yes maybe a kilometer to the waterfront but up and down a steep hill, so difficult to walk easily into the main centre and no decent cafes for morning coffee breakfast etc.
The only positive is the one staff member (Aeyon) who went out of her way to move us to a better room.
