Clean and friendly staff but the room looked like it had not been updated for 20 years. TV barely worked and wifi was deplorable. Sauna was out of order. Lounge taps were dry. Location and breakfast were good but overall poor value for the price.

Service is terrible! Upon checking in I requested to pay the bond with cash (which I do whenever I stay somewhere) and was told no cash isn't accepted. That was probably the last time I seen a team member till we checked out. Each time I passed through the reception there wasn't a team member in sight. The room itself seemed ran down and had a smell too it. There was a big open space which I'm assuming a couch was supposed to be there but wasn't. Bring an extension lead if you wish to charge an item by the bed. PowerPoint's are terrible. Rust/mould throughout the bathroom. Cardboard would be better use than the toilet paper they supply... there's so many corners cut in this place it's easy to see. Breakfast- very disappointing. Don't pay for it. Selection is terrible and the quality is even worse. I asked a team member if I could get a refund for 2nd mornings breakfast so I could go elsewhere and was ignored. Overall pretty poor experience.

Honestly this place is severely outdated. It isn’t a 5 star hotel that it claims to be. Sure they remake the beds and things seem tidy when you get back, but you’re also left with two thin sheets and a thin blanket to keep you warm overnight. They don’t have quilts here. The tv on the wall is 15+ years old and not up to date by any means. The only thing I’ve liked about my stay here is the scrambled eggs and the apple juice from the breakfast buffet, but even that is severely overpriced and not worth the money they ask for it. It’s a great location in Perth but the hotel itself severely lacks and needs serious remodelling. The staff could also do with some retraining and learn proper etiquette. Will I come back here? No I won’t!

Don't waste your money staying at this poor excuse for a hotel. Apart from the location the rest is appalling. Let me explain, I booked 2 rooms for a colleague and myself. I paid a little extra for a so-called deluxe room - what a joke. Room is barely furnished, and the lounge and chairs stained. Bathroom poorly laid out and dirty, I wouldn't call that the bed was made each day - pulled up at best. Remote control for the aged TV fell to pieces in my hand, a welcome message on the TV wasn't for me. Absolutely appalling WiFi, difficult to connect and need to re-connect each day. A little after midnight on the first night after a 5-hour flight from the east coast, we were awakened by a fire alarm, one of the firemen stated that there was nothing to worry about because it was a faulty fire alarm service - no apologies from management. My main concern is the way that they can fraudulently took money from my credit card, without my permission. Despite several attempts they are refusing to make a refund.... when I booked and when we checked in, both the booking site (Qantas) and the receptionist stated that breakfast was included. However they are now claiming that breakfast was included for only one room. Save your money and stay elsewhere, apart from location everything else is a major disappointment

NOT a 4 STAR HOTEL My Wife and I stayed at the Rendezvous for one night over the weekend here is our feedback. THE GOOD The location is good in that it’s near kings park and quite central. The Breakfast was nice and not over the top. THE BAD The Temperature in the rooms is too HOT and there is no way to make it cooler as the unit on the wall does not go below 20 degrees and the windows are all fixed closed. The ensuite areas of each room have a low 2m roof. If you are over 6ft 5 you may want to reconsider using the ensuite. Also the water in the shower does not drain properly and floods to the toilet area. The sliding door between the ensuite gets jammed when closed which is less than ideal in the middle of the night or at other times! The PowerPoints are hard to find and difficult to access. There is a bland look in each room. A real lack of colour and vibrancy. Staff were neutral. Neither friendly nor unfriendly. We also happened to bump into another hotel guest who was angry about her room swipe card which had not worked properly for her entire stay. The really disappointing thing was that so many of the above issues have already been raised in other reviews! I took the time to read these and could see there hasn’t been any real follow though on the things raised. Rendezvous Management please take notice of what people write and then most critically you must address these things especially if you say you will. Lift your standards and please market yourself as a 3 STAR HOTEL you then you may find you exceed your customers expectations. Consider an interior designer to freshen up the old look of the entire hotel, fix the sliding doors, upgrade your airconditioning and consider staff development for engaging your customers.

Visiting Perth to see my elderly parents. Hotel is in an excellent position and quiet. Easy access/walk into the City and Kings Park. Staff were excellent, from reception to house keeping. Fully cooked breakfast was included in the deal. Studio room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Hotel includes gym (included in tariff) and car park (additional cost). When next in Perth, will stay again.

On leaving the receptionist asked what we thought of the hotel and when I gave an honest review she said ‘this is a five star hotel’ and I nearly laughed. The hotel is very out dated and so is the furniture which was visibly damaged and doesn’t look like it’s been updated since the hotel opened (except our bed which I’ll admit was pretty comfy). The room was small and our ocean view balcony had no seating / you can’t see the view unless you’re standing and looking over the balcony so not really worth paying extra for. We assumed that the price we paid must have been for access to the lushly photographed pool area since it couldn’t have been for the room but the condition of the pool area is actually comical. The grass is a very fake turf that looks more like green carpet and the rocks around the pool are actually bright orange plaster and look nothing like the photo. Half the palm trees are dead and are just stumps. The spa wasn’t very warm and was murky with floating bits in it and there were lots of children playing in the pool. Children are not an issue, but after seeing the state of the hotel and pool area we felt that the hygiene of the pool was questionable and felt gross getting in the water so we didn’t. Thought we’d get a cocktail at the bar instead but all the cocktails are a pre-mix brand that look very tacky / sugary but still pricey so we gave those a miss as well. Not a 5 star pool / bar experience at all. Lots of added costs as well. An extra $25 to park your car in the hotel parking and $5 delivery fee on room service…… This hotel is a big no from us unless you have young children who would enjoy the pool area + the location which is right next to an outdoor park with rock climbing, skate park, beach and food that kids would enjoy without needing parents supervising. Even with kids I’d want to be getting a really good deal. 2 star hotel - 3 stars with the location.

Good location, but that's all. Check In experience, they did't even activate my card so had to then exit the lifts. Bad vibe from when you walk in to reception. Stains on walls, carpet. Room backed onto the freeway. Very noisy. Once again stains on carpet, walls, didn't even want to touch or get in the shower. The room temperature not controlled. Blew cold air all night had to sleep in all my clothes. The restaurant is another level. Food orders wrong. 1 and half hours to come out as only 1 chef doing all meals including room service. Food inedible. The bar, poor young guy went to pour our beers and the taps were empty on multiple kegs.. I was waiting for Basil from Fawlty Tours to come out. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Yelp
It was a lovely stay. We were able to check in nearly two hours early without any charge. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Parking was $30 and the garage was very small! We struggled to get out. Check in and check went smoothly and would recommend.
