Quinn was an amazing guide. He showed us many places and shared a lot of history and stories about Nassau and surrounding areas. He also made it clear that we could stop anywhere along the way if we wanted. Quinn was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Definitely 5 stars all the way. Would definitely repeat.

Centrally located in downtown Nassau, Rawson Square is an important and historic location. There is the Senate and House of Assembly buildings which are the places our leaders run the country debating issues and making decisions. There is the bronze bust of Sir Milo Butler. Sir Milo was the first Bahamian Governor General of The Bahamas and is a recognized National Hero of the Bahamian people. He fought for justice & equal rights for Bahamian blacks. There is also a statue of Queen Victoria which was unveiled on Empire Day in 1905.

Shopping next to cruise port is a mistake. Definitely don’t do the hair wraps. Such a ripoff and waste of time. They don’t tell you the real cost until it’s done.

The downtown really has seen better days. Many empty shops, almost like a ghost town. Sorry to see a once so lovely place now so derelict.
