Tucked away in the stunning Kenai Mountains, Renfro's Lakeside Retreat boasts cozy cabins by the pristine lake, perfect for a tranquil Alaskan getaway.
We rented 2 cabins side-by-side to accommodate our family vacation. The cabins were immaculate with everything that you needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, towels were nice and fluffy, and the beds were comfortable. The porch had Adirondack chairs with a small table and wonderful view. There was a great fire-pit. The Kenai Lake was ever-changing with mountains on the other side...beautiful! Renfros is about a 20 minute drive to exit glacier or the harbor town of Seward. The host was very nice and helpful. We highly recommend and would love to return some day!

We stayed 4 nights in cabin 7. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Gary was very helpful and friendly. The laundry and accommodations were nice. The location is great; north of Seward about 20 minutes and 45 minutes from coopers landing for fly fishing. We enjoyed staying here and if we come back to Alaska we definitely will stay again!

We had a great stay at Renfro's in #7. We stayed at the property with three other families and we had 4 cabins rented in total. All were similar but different in their own ways. The cabin was well stocked with many kitchen items and seemed like you would have everything you might need to cook in the cabin. We ate out most meals so didn't need to use many kitchenware items. The location is beautiful and loved seeing the lake at night when the light was still visible. Gary was a very nice host and was very helpful in making sure the heater in our room was working correctly as the previous stay it must have not been. Everything worked great for us and we had a very enjoyable experience at Renfro's.

Stayed at Renfro's Lakeside Retreat in early August. Beautiful property and very comfortable and well-stocked cabin. Lots of privacy between cabins, access to a beautiful lake, and very convenient to both Seward and the Cooper's Landing area. Lots of beautiful hikes in the area, both short and long. Hosts are super accommodating and responsive. No cell service (for me using Tmobile at least) or wifi, which is a wonderful escape from technology, but if you need service for a moment before you head out for the day or need to log in for a one-off meeting like me, the wifi available near the host cabin is good and reliable. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Renfro's Lakeside Retreat was amazing! We stayed in cabin 8 that was nestled in the woods. My wife and I loved this spot. Quiet, peaceful, and secluded in the woods while also being super close to the lake that we walked to most days. The lake view is gorgeous and you can take out a kayak or pedal boat if the weather is right! The cabin is cozy and has everything you need for an Alaskan vacation! Gary was a fantastic host and was available whenever we needed with suggestions of activities, firewood, quarters for laundry, and even wifi at the office when you need it! The drive into Seward is only ~20 minutes so super convenient for any excursions/tourist day trips! Highly recommend staying here while in the Seward area!

Gary, the owner, was great to work with; he is warm and engaging. We stayed in the fun cabin, Cabin #4. That cabin has a great view. The cabin was well equipped for cooking. We had control of the heating and cooling. The cabin has an on-demand water heater; so, no running out of hot water. We took the kayaks out one day for a couple of hours and had a good time, even through the water was a bit rough that day. We used the laundry facility a couple of times. It was a short’ish walk from our cabin. The washer and dryer were $2 each per load (only takes quarters; you can get quarters from the office during office hours). We were very pleased with our cabin and would be happy to stay again.

What an amazing cabin and cozy stay. We stayed in cabin #4. The view outside was so breath taking. To wake up in the morning and see the lake and mountains from inside the cabin was awesome. It was a very cute, cozy, and comfortable cabin. Despite no internet except for by the main office building, it was a great time to spend quality time together as a family. The kids enjoyed skipping rocks, relaxing in the hammock, and taking the pedal boat out on the lake. Gray, the owner was very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again if back in Alaska.

We loved our stay at Renfro's. This is our second time and we will always stay there. The lake is so relaxing and beautiful to look at. The cabin has everything you need for an amazing stay. Gary is super friendly and we love chatting with him every time we are there. In our opinion this is the best place to stay in the Seward area!
