À small Italian restaurant with a counter to buy fresh Italian food to take away or eat directly: salads, pasta, meatballs, sweets. A choice of Italian wines, cheeses, pesto, pasta, sodas etc. We tried the ravioli made by the chef with parmesan filling and light truffle taste. Very delicious. We bought the ravioli with parmesan and truffle filling and prepared at home with asparagus (picture).

Honestly overrated. The flavors are good but the sandwiches are so barely filled it’s like they think we’re still in the hongerwinter. I tried twice and both times the sandwiches were badly filled (except with greens like rucola). The buns themselves have good flavor, but later in the day they’re stale. To me it tastes like they don’t make a fresh batch halfway through the day. They could make the buns a little less stale by reheating them in the oven with some steam, to crisp them up and make them fluffy again, but they don’t. This all wouldn’t be so bad if the prices weren’t sky high. This place would be good if they filled their sandwiches more royally and if they made sure their buns are fresh (or refreshed in the oven). 2 stars for good flavor, but everything else is just not good enough for the price.

Looking for some food after the Van Gogh museum? This place will hit the spot. Fair selection of pasta and veggies to choose from to make a personalized dish.

Loved this place! They have prepared food that you can eat there or take away. I tried lamb meatball sandwich which was delicious, with nice spice to it. They also have a good variety of Italian food there. Will definitely be back, this place is just perfect for lunch!

Google
I was excited to try these sandwiches, but unfortunately, they didn't live up to the expectations of authentic Italian flavors. The chicken and ham sandwiches felt pretty ordinary and lacked the vibrant taste I was hoping for. If you're after a truly flavorful Italian sandwich, this might not be the place to go.

Great deli. If you dine in they heat it up for you, take away stays cold. There are different prices for dine in and take away, so be sure you specify. Staff was very kind and patient. There’s seating outside and a tiny bit indoors. I got a salami calabrese sandwich, it was good but there was not peppers or any noticeable sun dried tomato in it, mainly just salami and pesto. Not bad at all, but not my preferred style of sandwich. Pasta was great though. 4/5 good food, great service, nice selection. Would happily eat here again and recommend.

Walking to Vondelpark, we decided to stop here and grab some sandwiches to make a picnic. It's an italian market with a lot of cold food options, groceries, and a sandwich area. Overall, the sandwiches were fine though lacking on meat (only a few slices of salami on each). For the price, it was ok but I doubt I'd return for a sandwich.

Google
Lovely place. Not crowded and far away from all the tourists. The food was really good. You order and they will charge you per grams so it’s really convenient. Small but good selection of wines. Just a nice spot for a dinner with friends or coffee.

Yelp
We wanted to find somewhere to eat within a short walk of the Museumplein as we had 1:15 p.m. tickets for the Rijksmuseum. My wife located this place and we met up with our daughter there after she dropped off her rented bike nearby. If you walk to the far end of the park from the Rijksmuseum and turn left at the street that borders the park there, the restaurant is about 2 blocks along there. You enter into a small waiting area and proceed between 2 counters. The best way I can describe the process is that it was like an ice cream shop in the U.S. They had glass displays showing what was available for meals - varieties of pasta, etc. You could select from those, or I think they had salads also. You place your order and then grab a table. A server will bring the food out when it is ready. Seating was a bit limited, so there could be a wait for a table. We arrived just before they got busy, though. They have about 5 or 6 small tables on the ground floor. If those are full, a fallback option is to ascend the spiral stairs up to a low-ceilinged loft. This is where we ate. The chairs here were fine but the tables were quite small - almost like a high coffee table. It wasn't hard to eat off these, just a bit different than usual. Also, if you are much over 6 feet tall, the ceilings will require caution. They can probably accommodate another 3 - 4 small parties up there. Everyone liked their food, which definitely had that 'prepared fresh' vibe. I got the pasta and had no trouble finishing it. I'd definitely consider eating here again were I back in the area.

Yelp
Stood here for 10 minutes waiting for someone to address me and take my order. 2 people working (1 with another customer, the other stalking a shelf, aware of my presence and ignoring me.) A local came in and she promptly helped him and ignored me. I left.

Yelp
Wanted a quick snack after visiting the Van Gough museum before I walked back to the other side of town and this place did not disappoint! My sandwich was fresh and flavorful. Service was quick and friendly.

Yelp
Delicious bread for sandwiches. I got the prosciutto parmi one. It didn't have cheese in it but was delicious. The roll was wide so the sandwich is actually quite big. Pesto on it. Service was friendly.

Yelp
Wife and I had a bit of time to kill before entering Van Gogh Museum. Yelped Sandwiches and Renzo's popped up. What a fantastic find! Came in for sandwiches, saw the awesome pasta choices and thoroughly enjoyed the Spaghetti Bolognese with meatballs, Ravioli with truffles, and Pesto Tortellini. Paired that with their daily red and white wine selection and YUM! Service was quick, friendly, and helpful. If you're in the Museum Quarter, do yourself a favor and eat here. Two thumbs way up.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Atmosphere: 4.5/5 Value: 4/5 ---- My friend was hankering for a sandwich after our visit to the Rijksmuseum, and found this place on Yelp. What a gem! Everything we had here was really good. The coffee might be some of the best in Amsterdam. I had a cappuccino, and it was incredible. The foam! I haven't had such a good cappuccino in it seems like forever. We also tried the goat cheese sandwich and the salami sandwich. Both were great, and I'd highly recommend! Everything is better in Europe - bread, meat, cheese, pesto spread, etc. Service was very friendly, and we were able to track down the cat outside on our way back to the metro. Full and happy and ready for the next adventure!

Yelp
Delicious made to order sandwiches, as well as different pastas and salads, along with a wide range of drinks!

Yelp
I enjoyed Renzo's after an afternoon in Museum-Plein. The minced beef sandwich was great. Highly recommend for quick cheap bite and plugs!!!

Yelp
I am sold every time encounter any Italian homemade imperfection. Hanging around museumplein, very random we spotted this little heaven. Lots of benches outside to toast to the sun. If you are as lucky as us, you will end up in the long queue. It is more about the olive oil they import, the handmade bread, San Pellegrino lemonade, the artisan coffee and the bold layers. Homemade Italian food appeals to me for some smell, of oily, rich and grandma's recipe. I went for a classy mozzarella cheese, tomato with rucola on focaccia. Man, the pesto sauce is mummy yummy! This enhanced the entire experience for a mozzarella with tomato sandwich that I feel like digging a prepared meal. My egg-lover friend (no comment) dived the heavy ham and omelette and gave it a thumb-up. Their coffee!! Best foam I had for my latte in Amsterdam so far. Not some sticky cream stuffed the mug but truly vibrant milky bubbles. And my friend's cappuccino loaded with thicker cream which again confirms its Italia. Only tried one dessert, I will be back for the ravioli take-away and the Dutch goat cheese sandwich! Woolala...

Yelp
I have had some really bad experiences at Renzo's but today it was so bad. Ordered a carpaccio sandwich which should look like a rich sandwich with carpaccio, pine nuts, rocket and parmesan but it was like an uncooked bread with only sauce, meat (brownish) and one big piece of cheese. Trying to call them doesn't work and they just put the phone of the hook. Never ordering there again!

Layci G.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place and I'm so glad that I did! I asked what was recommended and hands down, I had one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! Salami Milano on focaccia bread. Everything in the case looked delicious too. I will be going back!

Yelp
Budget travellers leaving the museums hungry: This is your place. Great sandwich and a glass of wine or beer for about 8€. Great people watching, and a really cute second floor with the sleepiest little cat. What's not to like?

Natasha S.

Yelp
Expensive, horrible koffie, and horribly rude service. Will not be returning. There are plenty of good restaurants around museumplein, try one of them instead.

Aimee P.

Yelp
So happy my friend introduced me to this place. Had a delicious carpaccio sandwich lunch next to a fat cat and some chipper locals. Short walk from the Van Gogh Museum, this deli has plenty of deli-cious options for the traveler. Not ideal for tall people but if you are a short like me, opt for the dine-in options in the attic upstairs.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick brunch before heading to the airport. Egg salad sandwich on wheat, americano and peroni. Good food on the quick and nice service. Take with you or dine in. I recommend as a quick snack or supply stop if you're in town for a long weekend.

Danie R.

Yelp
I tried a ton of sandwiches at Renzo's and all were really good. Tallegio, Pecorino, stinky cheese, etc... The clear winner was the dutch marinated goat cheese sandwich. HOLY CRAP. It was so good. I may or may not have been moaning during the first few bites and my friend was laughing at me. Crap. I ate it way too fast... The espresso is pretty good here too, but man, that goat cheese sandwich is making me hungry right now. Why isn't there a Renzo's in Copenhagen?!

Kevin R.

Yelp
damn, this place was good!! friendly, cool people and authentic natural food with only the finest ingredients. the corner location with outdoor seating set just aside from the busy street was the perfect setting to enjoy my meal.

Kristian E.

Yelp
Nice corner sandwich shop, authentic Dutch sandwiches and food. Great and welcoming staff that made us feel like locals. Awesome upstairs eating area with couches, very cozy.

Usman G.

Yelp
One of the best sandwich I had light and juicy. Coffee was good service was friendly. Highly recommended.

Yelp
We were in a rush and stopped in here, they have great sandwiches and cold salads! It's an Italian place, and they have a lot of different smoked meats for sandwiches. The carpaccio with truffle mayo was a highlight!

Yelp
we visited with my parents and my two kids (6 and 4) before a sunday concert at the concertgebouw. the coffee (both regular coffee and cappuccino) was good. sandwiches: i had the old cheese, my husband prosciutto parmesano, my father salami and my mother egg-truffel salad. the kids both had caprese. each of the sandwiches is made with the main ingredient, plus sun-dried tomatoes, pesto and rucola. the pesto is not too oily, and there is also good balsamico at each table if you like that on your sandwich (i do). the brown ciabatta for my sandwich was crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. it is not a huge place... the six of us took up most of the downstairs seating (there is room for ~8), however there was also seating upstairs (we didn't go up, though, so i don't know how spacious it is). the entry is a small shop selling freshly made pasta and salads and Italian grocery items. i would definitely recommend this place for lunch, as long as you aren't with a huge group of people!

Yelp
i'm soo happy this is my neighborhood deli. the sandwiches are good, not the best but definitely worth going back for. it's not overloaded with filling but enough to make it just right. the desserts in the fridge case are all amazing! i've had the tiramisu, lemon mousse and the chocolate mousse. amazing!!! and reasonably priced. 3.50 for a small container. i could easily eat 2 containers but one is the perfect amount of portion control.. haha. the pastas you can buy by the weight. they will load as much or little of it in a container for you to go or on a plate to eat in house. they have consistent pastas and then bring in new ones here and there. we love the coucous. it has a strong cinnamon taste so get it if you like cinnamon. the grilled veggies are perfectly grilled to sweetness. this place is one of those places that i go to when i don't feel like cooking but want something good. prices are reasonable.

Bren C.

Yelp
The food was not that great. Service was very poor. It took a very long time for anyone to take my order. Will not be returning.

Sheel J.

Yelp
Came upon this gem as a recommendation from someone local here in Amsterdam. Very simple but delicious Italian food . Service was great and good quality food .

Chris B.

Yelp
Wonderful deli: great selection of prepared pastas both warm and cold; sandwiches, and drinks. Very reasonable prices. Quick and friendly service. Especially enjoyed visiting with the kitty upstairs.

Yelp
Great place! Great food! Excellent atmosphere for lunch stop... if I would have lived in Amsterdam I would have visit this place A LOT.

Kathryn G.

Yelp
Amazing and reasonably priced sandwiches. We love the cheese ones (especially the goat cheese and also the manchego). Both the chicken and beef dinos are also amazing.
