A hidden gem in Berlin! Great food, excellent service, and very reasonable prices. Authentic German comfort food done right—especially the Spätzle. Friendly atmosphere and quick service make it even better. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. Highly recommended!

Traditional (actually Southern) German noodles are a specialty in this restaurant area which is dominated by Asian and Southern European places. The restaurant is fully booked on a Tuesday evening with even some people waiting for a table, probably due to very reasonable prices but also a rather slow (though very friendly) service. Food quality is ok for the price, so if you don't mind waiting this is an attractive choice.

I tried my luck on the first night without a reservation and, unsurprisingly, there was no space – but I was able to book for the following evening. The food was absolutely worth the wait: rich, hearty, and served in very generous portions. The schnitzel was my favourite (out of the two I tried in Berlin), and the beef was cooked to perfection. I’d definitely return if I’m back in Berlin.

Great German Food Experience, but Room for Improvement We were excited to try some authentic German food, and this place came highly recommended. We started with two local beers, which were as good as any we've had—refreshing and full of flavor. For food, we ordered the potato sausage soup and spätzle with pork and cream. The soup was absolutely delicious—rich, hearty, and full of flavor. However, the spätzle, while well-cooked, lacked a bit of seasoning and flavor, which was a bit of a letdown. For dessert, we had a sweet treat that was good, but honestly, it didn’t live up to how amazing it looked. Overall, it was a great experience, and we’d love to return. Perhaps trying something else on the menu next time would bring an even better outcome. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Poor attitude from the waiter. We weren’t even offered the menu like other people, so we felt quite discriminated against for not being German. We even asked for a table inside, and when one became available, they gave it to some Germans who arrived later and without a reservation. The waiter brought us whatever he wanted, and when we asked for what we had actually ordered, the waitress argued that it was more expensive. Honestly, it was only €2.50 more per dish —completely absurd. The food was fine, but I wouldn’t go back because of the poor treatment.

We enjoyed our meals very much. The Speatzle dishes were so good. I got the Schupfnidle with tomatoes, spinach and cheese. Everything was delicious. The outdoor seating is lovely and it's on a quiet street. The service was fairly quick but the waiter seemed annoyed that we weren't fluent in German. The drinks were good but the lemonade was not as flavorful as some others I had here. Edited down to 3 stars after looking at my credit card receipts: We tried to pay with a credit card and it didn't go through with two different cards. Turns out the waiter canceled both transaction. He didn't want to deal with us using a card so he pretended the card didn't go through. My first negative experience in a German restaurant.

Not a connoisseur of spaetzle but I enjoyed this restaurant. I appreciated their being able to seat us even though they were very busy. I would absolutely eat here again.

If you want the best Spätzle in town then you need to come to Repke they have a large selection of Spätzle choice in their menu and good atmosphere to go along with it. The spätzle and its various mixes I had were all great, and the none spätzle items are also good as well. The place does get filled up quickly on usual nights people go out since its on block with many good restaurants and the locals seem to love Repke as well. The service are mostly seem to be college kids so expect that, and the ambience is perfect to hangout with your friends, have some lovely german food and a beer.

Generous servings of delicious traditional German food at very reasonable prices. Friendly service and choice of indoor/outdoor dining. Located in the vibrant Savignyplatz district with easy access to public transport. Also an independent cinema across the street.

Located in West Berlin, my friend told me this place serves solid South German fare. He recommended I try the spaetzle (think tiny cut pieces of egg noodles or mini gnocchi), but for some reason I was more interested in the other parts of the menu so I ordered several items for us to share. Flammekuchen (think German/French white pizza) - Flaky, almost phyllo crust. well seasoned, delicious. Maultachen with Gorgonzola sauce (think potstickers/fried dumplings with a thick sauce) - good balance, the Gorgonzola sauce did not over power. And I love the sauerkraut--it's amazing compared to the nasty american, polish, russian crap we get in the states. There are so many varieties in Germany--I love it. We sat outside, but it seems to be a mini cafeteria--probably for the lunch time rush. Full bar in the back.

Repke is in a good part of town. Great location, small on the inside. It gets crowded fast. We went on Sunday night, was busy when we got there, waited at a bar for 30 minutes and managed to go back and get a table. This restaurant has no bar to sit at. We started with a carafe of red wine and ordered a tomato basil, and barley soup to start. The barley soup was better, both pretty good. We then had a pork steak dinner and a roast. The pork was really cheesy, really tasty. The roast was flavorless and weak. Very disappointed with that dish. The service was also not fantastic as we where waiting for the waiter to check in to order more wine and that never happened. Good spot for good prices food. Gotta watch what you order. After waiting so long for dinner it was kind of a disappointment.

What's a trip to Germany without spatzle?! I had the cheesy onion and bacon. Nice portion that hit the spot.

Nice joint with traditional german food. Price/quality is superb for the neighborhood. Daily specials will make your visit even more affordable.

Delicious! Waiter switched to English when he realized we didn't speak German. Authentic Berlinerweisse, served in appropriate glassware. We enjoyed the spaetzle; took the advice of the waiter and ordered his favorite and then also one with snitzle. Both were delicious. Of note: several dishes featuring seasonal mushrooms.

REALLY GOOD FOOD!!! I went with a friend and it was just A+ all around. We sat ourselves and immediately we had menus brought to us and shortly after had someone come by and ask for drink orders. Then a few mint he's later had them take our orders. This may seem logical but I have found that service in Germany is a bit slower in general so I was pleasantly surprised at how fast they were. ANYWAYS, there was two waiters and they were both super nice and helpful when we asked more about their menu items. Ended up getting the Tuesday special and IT WAS REALLY GOOD!! Probably one of the best dishes I've had in Berlin after 4+ weeks. Definitely plan to come one or two more times before my flight back home. Definitely would recommend for a nice lunch or dinner in a quieter area. Prices were very low and very reasonable.

When in Berlin I find that the Savignyplatz area is a good choice for dining and drinking - plenty of options but not over-run by tourists. Repke Spätzlerei is an unpretentious establishment just to the south of the Savignyplatz Bhf., offering cuisines with a Southern German accent - the name comes from Spätzl, a form of pasta. The menu has a good selection at good prices, the portions are very generous, and the service friendly.

Great spatzle! And schnitzel! And salad! Menu also has Swiss German in it. Our waitress spoke English. Definitely check out this place fur authentic Swiss/German food. Large menu with lots of choices if you don't live for spatzle

The staff here are really really friendly they made me feel so welcomed!! The girl smiles a lot and says bitte schön all the time and she's nice and patient when taking my order! And the food is so good and huge in size haha I ordered a salad with chicken breast which was fresh and delicious but to be honest I think the amount is enough for two girls lol.

Good quality for a few Euros in the middle of Charlottenburg? Yes, please. Not much more to say: succulent spätzle means in a nice setting and for a convenient price. We didn't have any salads but they look great and abundant, too. The staff is very friendly.

It's been a year since I was at Repke on an earlier visit to Berlin. I took a German friend and we both enjoyed our dinners, mine vegetarian Maultaschen with asparagus ragout and his Schnupfnudel (like long gnocchi) with Sauerkraut. The server was extremely pleasant and responsive and once again gave great suggestions on what to order. He was attentive without being pushy. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a pleasant change from the large, factory-like restaurants that seem to be all over Berlin. Thanks for a great dinner.

Great little Bistro German shop near Savigniplatz True German food and a great cost! They didnt speak much English, but served us very well

Had their Spätzler with peri peri sauce and maultaschen with lentils. Both dishes were delicious and the serving size is generous. The service staff were friendly too.

One of the neighborhoods we're really excited about and love to go to for a wander is the criss cross of streets around Savignyplatz. Homemade Spätzla. The vienna schnitzel was good, but not like Vienna. Casual and comfortable with popular outdoor seating. Well worth it.

Just right for a filling, attractively served lunch (table service on Sunday) on a bitterly cold day. Great value, and strongly recommended to any foreign visitors wanting to understand what makes German regional food so great.
