All the experience was perfect. Brought by my mountain guide, we were welcomed in the mid season by the couple of owners, Shito and Maki. They gave us good advice about the current conditions (he is also a local guide and they are fishermen), they were friendly, he took us by snow motorbike to the right spot to start the ascent to Mount Rishiri. And what about the onsen with a view on Mount Rishiri and the typical local food. All was amazing, like our ski touring in the hill tops !

Simply outstanding. From the rooms to the food to the people! Absolutely competent guides and amazing humans made my time on Rishiri. Highly recommend for everyone who’s looking for the perfect stay in Rishiri Island while also enjoying the outdoors

Nice pension with helpful staff that's a great base for outdoor exploration. Rooms are simple and comfortable with a/c. If you are overseas, you can book via their website. I found it better to access the Japanese version and not auto-translate, but cut & paste into google translate. You get an auto reply accepting your booking. One nice perk is that they will take you to the Mt. Rishiri trailhead at 4am, which means you avoid the heat of the day on the way up! Evening meal at 6pm which is local produce and highly recommended.

Fairly basic "pension" that caters to the hiking / skiing crowd in summer and winter respectively. Best part is that the owners also run a car rental agency, which means it is convenient for picking up a car here for exploring the island. Rates are competitive but the cars aren't as tip top as those you'd get from the major agencies. There's a free pick up / drop off service to the airport and ferry terminal. Meals are decent although portions are a little small. Rooms are new, clean and average-sized, although a bit noisy as the sound easily travels from the dining hall downstairs during meal times. Run by an enthusiastic team. Good value for money.

We stayed here as part of our guided ski package. The pension is quite new, the bedrooms are spacious enough and there is a large dining area. There’s a great view out to Mt Rishiri. There is also a small shared onsen and laundry area. The breakfasts and dinners were mainly Japanese cuisine and were very delicious!! Staff were very friendly. Pick up and drop off service to airport and ferry. Not far from the supermarket, the Rishiri Spa and other amenities. Would like to stay here in summer!

Incredible stay! Tasty dinner, clean rooms with wifi, and a very relaxing, wood onsen. Very close to trailhead. We had such a great experience here and would highly recommend it. The owner and staff were very helpful and accommodating!! Watanabe was very kind in sharing route information. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful retreat after playing in the snow! Toshi and his staff provide an exceptional place to take onsen, eat and sleep. It is clean and cozy, with beautiful views of Rishirifuji. The food is fantastic, with many local specialties served. And, I highly recommend the world class backcountry powder skiing on Rishiri, best accessed with Toshi and his affable and able guides.

Just did back country tour 2nd year in a row with Rera Mosir. Watanabe-san is very cool and the other guides are super professional as well. Had a really good time here!
