15 Best Spas in New York City | Condé Nast Traveler

"A favorite of in-the-know locals and beauty aficionados, Rescue Spa strikes the ultimate balancing act: innovative yet straightforward, modern yet comfortable, and luxurious yet essential. The spa, housed inside a massive duplex in Flatiron, boasts a hair salon, nail studio, and fourteen treatment rooms, plus a full beauty boutique—but what really sets it apart is the variety of skin-perfecting facials on offer. Acclaimed facialist and founder Danuta Mieloch has designed Rescue Spa’s highly customizable treatments to pair the very latest scientific advances with tried-and-true techniques. The signature Rescue Facial incorporates cult-favorite products from Biologique Recherche, LED technology, and energizing massage, while the Bio-Lift Facial uses non-invasive electric microcurrents to sculpt and firm, and the Fix-It-All Facial delivers comprehensive results using microdermabrasion, topical peel, electric microcurrent, and LED light therapy." - Gabby Shacknai

Occasionally, I'l try a facial somewhere else, and it only ever serves to remind me of how standout this place is. They use Biologique Recherche products, and every single aesthetician nails it every single time.

Rescue Spa NYC is truly my sanctuary in the city. I’ve been coming consistently for 3 years, and every visit is absolute bliss. I book esthetician-led facials, full-body massages with Thomas (who is phenomenal), and hair trims/color with their experienced and professional team. The atmosphere is serene, the service is top-tier, and the products they use are luxurious and effective. It’s the best day spa experience—hands down. I always leave feeling refreshed, glowing, and deeply cared for. Love it here!

Google
Just wonderful! 🥰 I left feeling so refreshed and relaxed. If you crave a silent space to enjoy your treatments, this is definitely the place. My technician was 10/10 she was very considerate, asked all the right questions, and throughly worked on getting my nails and skin to the best shape possible. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Google
The location was as beautiful and high-end as expected, even though I didn’t have the best experience. While the lash and brow technician I booked with based on reading prior good reviews did lovely work, she pushed me to allow her to take and share photos of me for her instagram after I said that it made me uncomfortable. After my appointment, she stood over my shoulder and asked me to follow her account as she watched on. Awkwardly, she even watched on while the page took a minute too long to load up on my phone. While I very much appreciated her time and work, I found it very unprofessional and an uncomfortable series of interactions considering the price tag of the experience I paid for.

Google
Rescue spa to the rescue! I have followed Jolanta over the years and had a pleasure to have a facial with her at rescue spa. Space is calm and relaxing. Room is very calm and facial was above and beyond. Jolanta skillfull hands did wonder on my skin. Would definitely come back again.

Google
I had my first facial at Rescue Spa earlier this week, and was really looking forward to it due to all of the glowing reviews online and from my friends. While I had a good experience overall, I wanted to share some feedback regarding my esthetician, who was clearly battling a cold that day. For the entire duration of my visit, she was coughing and sniffling, which was uncomfortable for me and also made it difficult for me to fully relax. Sometimes she would pause treatment to cough and sneeze. Even though she wore a mask, I still didn't think it was appropriate given our close proximity for 45 minutes. I had really been looking forward to my first facial here, and I left feeling incredibly disappointed. Will likely not return in the future, but am glad that I tried it out!

Google
Rescue Spa had high ratings online, so I booked a Rescue Facial for myself. My esthetician was rough from the get go. She used too much pressure and was too fast during the cleansing portion of the facial. The facial massage was also really rough; again, way too strong and fast. I had to ask the esthetician to be more gentle/tell her it was painful several times. The esthetician was also really hurried throughout the appointment. At the end of the appointment she said she would meet me outside of the room to share product recommendations, but she was nowhere to be found when I left the room. I didn't really mind, since I didn't want her product recommendations, but it was subpar service. The worst part of the experience was the extractions. I have open wounds all over my face from the (extremely painful) extractions, and one spot is still oozing blood an hour after the facial. I've had facials before, and understand extractions are painful/can leave marks, but this is unacceptable. I hate to leave negative reviews, but I wanted to save other people their money. Pro: the space was nice!

Google
Pros: In the moment, facial was AMAZING - they use steam, thorough extractions, relaxing, neck/chest massage was fantastic where some other spas only focus on face and more skincare and less massage. Salon Is beautiful and clean. Cons: can’t tip on credit card, which meant I couldn’t expense tip. Work-around was to screenshot Venmo payment. Annoying extra step, especially when taking clients. In the days after, my skin didn’t look healthy or improved. I developed tiny hard bumps all over my face. Some would pop, some wouldn’t. I called salon, they asked me to send photos which I did… they said they would have a specialist call me. I wanted to know what to do. Exfoliate, was it an allergy, etc. I never got a call. It’s 4 days post-facial and bumps have largely gone down, but I never got a call. To summarize: facial feels great but didn’t actually improve skin in my experience.

Google
I have been a Rescue Spa customer for over 5 years, following Anna from a previous salon, because she is amazing and does the best color, haircut and blow dry. What initially was my hair salon, has become my place for all hair, nail and skin care services. I am so happy with the care, professionalism and expertise of everyone at Rescue Spa from Anna, Mina, Lera, Aurelia, Rose, Diana, Lee and Danuta, the owner and mastermind that created a true sanctuary where you really feel cared and pampered. Rescue Spa is a beautiful place that is a total Rescue for your senses. I Highly recommend it!

Yelp
We went to NYC for my birthday weekend and decided some pampering was in order. After sifting through dozens of spas in Manhattan, we decided on Rescue Spa due to its diverse offerings. Rescue Spa offers a variety of facials, manis, pedis, massages, a full hair salon as well as a boutique of luxury brand cosmetics, skin care, candles, perfumes, and more. If a day of pampering is what you're looking for, this is the place! The space is beautiful inside, very elegant and upscale. The staff was incredibly helpful and insightful. We left with skin regimens tailored to our skin's needs, and I picked up some luxury cosmetics I had not been able to track down at stores where I live. While the prices are high, the quality of the service demands that price, and we were very pleased with every aspect of our "spa day." We will definitely be returning every time we are in town!

Yelp
Today was my first time going to Rescue Spa and I wish I started going sooner! I went for the "fix it all" facial with Renata and it was phenomenal. I think I almost fell asleep at one point it was so relaxing! We started with lathering up my face before the extractions. The extractions were not painful at all and Renata was very thorough. It was my first time getting any type of microdermabrasion and microcurrent therapy. I felt so relaxed the entire time and highly recommend booking an appointment with Renata! I will be sure to book another appointment soon!

Yelp
Probably the best facial I've gotten in the city. I got the basic Rescue Facial ($200 + $9 service fee + tip). Yes, it is pricey but quality goods and quality service. Thank you Natalia for being so good to me and making my skin glow!

Yelp
I've been looking forward to visit Rescue SPa. I buy often from their website & im sure they already know it. Yesterday was my facial and as soon as I stepped in, I felt relaxed. Tatyanna was accommodating and her hands, WOW truly divine. Her strokes on the skin are coordinated and super relaxing. I booked another facial for her next week. Ah ask for Le Lift Parisienne SUPERB!!!

Yelp
Best facial in NYC I came to Rescue Spa specifically because they use Biologique Recherche products, and I am so glad I came. Sam was my esthetician and she was so kind and knowledgeable. She took a few minutes to assess my skin, then proceeded with the best facial treatment and massage I have ever experienced. The extractions were not too painful and I added microdermabrasion to clean up my skin even more. I literally walked out GLOWWWWING. My pores and hyperpigmentation were significantly less after the facial. I did splurge and purchase the Lait U cleanser, lotion P50 1970, masque vivant, serum amniotique, and creme placenta. I trust and believe in BR products, and I hope to have beautiful skin like Danuta Mieloch.

Yelp
I loved this spa! Not only is the entire place beautiful, but I had one of the best massages. I would definitely return and I highly recommend it. My only complaint was that I could hear people talking, as the waiting area for services was right near my treatment room.

Clare S.

Yelp
The facial was rejuvenating and soothing, leaving my skin glowing and refreshed! Best facial in the city.

Yelp
Brittany Musacchia is by far the best esthetician I have had. I've been getting facials for over a decade now, all around the world (Paris, New York, Philadelphia, Boston) and I really appreciate Brittany's attention to detail when personalizing a routine for my skin. I had been struggling for a year and a half with tiny bumps all over my chin and occasional breakouts on my cheeks, within literally two weeks of working with Brittany my skin was back to normal. I was using an entire skin care regimen from another esthetician using products at rescue spa but they were not correct for my skin. Brittany immediately knew what my skin needed and set up a great routine without being pushy about purchasing the products. I highly recommend her as she is knowledgeable, pleasant, and I saw immediate results which had never happened to me before! I also LOVE Dina!!!! She makes my brows look incredible every time. Super experienced and talks you through the whole process. Always enjoy going to see her because I trust her very much with whatever she thinks is best for my brows! I do the brow trio and will continue to do it for a long time. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this experience, but I cannot say I did. After the fix-it-all facial ($350), I guess I was expecting my skin to look absolutely amazing. Besides the "glow" that everyone talks about, which is natural after having 7 different products and serums put into your skin, I can't say my skin looks any different than when I do my own regimen of double cleansing, exfoliating, masks, toners, serums, creams, etc. I will say the microcurrents effect looked nice immediately afterward, but it didn't look much different once I was home. My pores didn't look smaller like I've seen with other facials, and there was no change in any of my concerns - pigment, dark spots, stubborn under-the-skin pimples I can't get rid of. Now, I know pigment and dark spots take time, but I could literally get the same results I got today by microneedling at home (which I usually do but haven't in a while) and sticking to my strict cleaning regimen. Microdermabrasion is really such a waste of money. I still have several clogged pores, and my skin still looks dull and uneven. I still have these deep under-the-skin pimples, and overall, I just don't look like I spent almost $400 on treatment. I will say the woman I checked out with was very lovely and not pushy about buying products, though I was surprised by some of the products recommended for me because they were different from what I discussed with the aesthetician. As for the aesthetician, she was fine. That's all I can really say. She wasn't rude but wasn't exactly warm or engaging which is something I really enjoy during treatments. I asked questions, and she would respond so fast or mumble, and I'd have to ask what, and it seemed as though I was annoying her. I was lying there thinking to myself, "Wow, this woman truly hates me"! Again, she wasn't bad; it just seemed like she was there to just do her job, and the client rapport was not a concern. I don't think I will ever return here for a treatment as there are other places where the treatments are just as good but the ambiance and that welcoming feeling are equally important to the establishment. I like leaving a place thinking, "I can't wait to come back here and see the same aesthetician next time."

Yelp
Walked out with mixed feelings about this spa. I made an appointment for a facial and was looking forward to it since I needed it and I wanted to upgrade my routine a bit. Upon arriving it was very nice but unclear where or who to check in with till someone helped me out cause I guess I looked confused. I was then lead downstairs to the spa, my esthetician got me right on time and brought me into the room. We started discussing my routine and I mentioned concerns and she was a bit condescending ... she kinda trashed the products I was using (before even accessing my skin) but then didn't make any real recommendations, at one point even suggested that I "read the instructions on the back" of a product I mentioned using that wasn't working for me. I thought the comment was very unnecessary... The facial was kinda ruined for me after that cause I guess she was having a bad day, which sucks cause this wasn't a cheap facial? At the end I just let it go and made the assumption that maybe she was being vague with recommendations cause she probably didn't want to recommend something, have me buy it and then have a pissed off client when the product doesn't work. BUT when I went upstairs to pay she apparently had picked out products for me...so she was just being condescending. Which was unnecessary since I initially planned to purchase items but that entire "bully" approach changed my mind. Anyways, I gave it 2 stars cause my skin feels and looks great, the checkout process was smooth.

Yelp
First visit since COVID, still a wonderful experience. As a luxury-loving introvert, this place is my dream. Expert aestheticians, expert hair stylists, the best product, high ceilings, clean space, quiet atmosphere -- no small talk required. No one cares if you just want to close your eyes while you get your hair cut (and maybe fall asleep, sorry Doris ). Just got home from a Biolift Facial with Lisa, followed by a hair cut with Doris and I wish I could have just stayed all day. Those women are experts and I'm now going to become a regular to both of them.

Yelp
Terrible service just asked a simple question about services and was met by snappy front desk saying everything is online after not even finishing my question. Wanted to buy a certificate but decided not to spend my money when met with a snobby attitude. Please go elsewhere here people are nice and friendly

Yelp
This review is for Kass. I have trusted her with my skin for 3+ years. She has magical hands. I have had hundreds of facials over the years, many at RS, and she is the absolute best. She is warm, and above all incredibly detailed oriented, meticulous, and gentle. If you need extractions that don't leave you red and irritated, she is your girl. Every time I leave her chair, my skin is sparking clean and absolutely glowing. I recommend her to every skin care aficionado and friend -- there is truly no one better.

Yelp
Rescue Spa was such a treat! For the past few months my skin has been so congested and breaking out intensely. It's largely my fault because I forget to drink water during the day, I drink too much coffee which is dehydrating, and I haven't had much time to pay attention to my skin care routine - very little exfoliation. Also the stress from work has been making my skin act up. Definitely was in need of some self care treat. Desperately needed a reset so I decided a facial would be a good catalyst for reviving my skin and getting back on track - and it was! Loved how luxurious the facial felt. They give you a robe to change into. I chose the Rescue Facial which I think is their most basic one. I loved how thorough my esthetician was - she also massaged my neck/shoulder area which felt amazing - the entire time I could feel the stress melt away. My skin felt so refreshed and hydrated afterwards. One note I want to make - I decided it wasn't worth knocking off a star because it was just this one woman. When I was checking out, they had a tray of products that my esthetician recommended for me - I didn't want to buy any products because I already had several that I was using at home and wanted to finish those first. I politely declined and the sweet girl at the counter said that's fine, I can just take photos of them for reference in the future. And then one woman came by to take the products back and she gave a look and said "take back ALL of them?" and it made me feel bad, as if I'm supposed to buy something. Felt like an unnecessary /snobby comment and it left a bad impression. But that was the only thing - everything else was great from the moment I walked in to the end of my facial.
google avatar

Flora T.

Yelp
Kassandra is beyond amazing for facials - she's helped me completely change my skin with her treatments and product/skincare routine recommendations. My skin is so clean and glowy after I see her - she does amazing extractions and massages your face and shoulders to keep it super relaxing. Even my husband is now addicted to facials and makes me book him an appt every time I'm going to Rescue Spa. It's one of the few places I've been where the facials are worth every penny
google avatar

Yelp
Had the most FANTASTIC of my life with Lisa. She's beyond knowledgeable, and I'm pretty sure I found my Esthetician soul sistah. She's phenomenal, educated, and a consummate professional. I will be going back to Lisa whenever I'm in NYC for business. I will be a life-long client of hers and follow her wherever she goes.
google avatar

Angelika S.

Yelp
Review is purely for customer service. First they changed my appointment time without asking, just as a fact. Then cancelled it by providing option on completely different days and time. Communication definitely need some improvement.
google avatar

Yelp
I had Erica! she started off by educating about my skin based on my age. ive been going to rescue consistently for years and I love it its literally changed my skin for the better! I bought a few hydrating product because when ive bought some items in the past they have worked really well. The price is totally worth it. Book with Erica if you want a good conversation and amazing massage with lots of great tips on healthy skin!
google avatar

Estefania B.

Yelp
I visited Rescue Spa NYC because I need help with my thick, long, brunette and very rebelious hair. Doris Burgos was The Best! She did color that looks just right with my skin type, she left it shiny and even but also with depth throughout. Blow dry was quick and easy fantastic job. Thank you Doris!
google avatar

Nia A.

Yelp
Exactly what my face needed. This was my first time getting a facial at Rescue Spa and it won't be my last! The facialist, Shatelle, went to town on my face, and boy, did my face need it! It definitely was one of the best facials I've ever gotten, and I loved the esthetician's recommendation on how to take care of face in between treatments. I can't wait for my next facial! What a treat for my face.

Yelp
Rescue Spa is heavenly! I've been seeing Kassandra Verduz as my esthetician and using almost exclusively Rescue Spa products for the past 2 years and it has transformed my skin. Kass is so kind and has such calming aurora that makes the entire experience feel relaxing and luxurious. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the science behind skincare product formulas (which I love) and regimen building - she's really helped me identify the best products to invest in to meet my skin's needs throughout the year. She is also meticulous about fully cleaning the skin yet is also very gentle through extractions. I get so excited for my regular appointments at Rescue Spa - it is the best investment in self-care and I always leave feeling so confident. Thank you to Rescue Spa and especially Kass for delivering such an exceptional spa experience time and time again!

Aspen B.

Yelp
Kass is an essential part of my skincare routine! I see her for the rescue facial every 6-8 weeks. I wish I had found her earlier in my life, but she's made loyal clients out of my whole family! No one does extractions better, she won't stop until your skin is completely cleaned. You'll always leave glowing from the inside out!! She's so knowledgeable, I learn something new about my skin every appointment. She encourages simple skincare routines, and never suggests unnecessary products - so you won't be spending in excess, just the must-haves. I could go on and on...I'm a big fan!

Yelp
From the moment I walked in, I was in heaven. It was my first time coming to Rescue Spa and to be honest I was really worried before my appointment. If you read their reviews, many people mention that they force you to buy products and they didn't force me to buy ONE. Actually, they didn't even push to me to buy a simple thing. I did their classic facial with Natalie (Natalia?), and she was so sweet. Her and I really connected in the beginning because she was able to relate to my skin issues and gave me really good tips. She then showed me a before photo and what products (from Rescue Spa) she uses and has seen a difference. In the beginning of the facial, she lets you know the products she will be using and what ingredients that are in there. The esthetician meets you at the lobby at exactly your appointment, and walks you to the room. The room is super clean, spacious with relaxing music. Their beds are heated btw! If you read their reviews carefully, you will notice that many of the people who leave reviews have no 'activity.' They have no reviews posted or yet any friends. Seems a bit weird to me. And all their other reviews are not so good. They are a bit on the pricer side, but I really had a great first experience. I left feeling very relaxed.

Lisa M.

Yelp
Cannot recommend this spa enough. It has totally transformed my skin. I've suffered from hormonal acne for years- visited many spas, derms ,etc.. but the results I've received from Rescue are not comparable. Specifically, I've been seeing Kassandra for almost a year now- and she has given my skin new life.. I finally feel confident walking around make up free. She has worked with me to create the perfect regimen and product recommendations. Not to mention, during treatments she is so detailed and diligent - my skin has never been cleaner and clearer!

Susan S.

Yelp
Beautiful facility and ambience . A piece of heaven in the city. Fix-it-all facial was the most amazing facial I've ever had. It was worth the price with everything that was included and quality of products used. Not to mention the outstanding service and expertise of Niso. Pedicure was awesome too with Rosa. Will definitely go back!

Julia S.

Yelp
This place is amazing! So clean and stylish and all the people who work here are very nice. I got a facial here and my skin feels so happy. I made an appointment with Rita and she is seriously the best!!! She told me everything about my skin and how I should take care of it and what ingredients would work best for me! She also gave an incredible face massage that made me feel like my whole face and neck area got lifted. I also got some recommendations for products I should use and I got the famous P50 lotion that I wanted to try for a very long time. Overall, a great experience and amazing staff ( Thank you, Rita). I'm definitely coming back for another facial
google avatar

Abby H.

Yelp
I have been coming to rescue spa for a couple years now. First I only came for special occasions as I had huge sticker shock on the services! Since finding Kass, I am completely convinced that regular visits for facials with her is worth every penny. Kass is so diligent and meticulous with her work, I feel so taken care of with her. She doesn't try to up-sell me on anything but instead genuinely wants to create a system that's works for each of her each clients. Every product she has recommended has been great. She is so sweet and we always have a good laugh. Go book Kassandra!! But book ahead of time, she's always full!
google avatar

Hamael K.

Yelp
I've been going to Rescue Spa on and off for years, and it seems like it's steadily going downhill every time I come back. My old amazing estheticians have all left, and I've had facials with a few others, but none have been worth the price increases, $200 now for a basic facial. I loved coming to Rescue Spa because as a college student obsessed with skin care I was never spoken down to; the estheticians were much more knowledgable about product ingredients and massage techniques than my local facial spots, and my skin was always glowing afterwards. Sadly that is no longer the case, and I cannot justify coming in anymore when my last few facials were extremely basic, some even leaving my skin irritated for days.

Molly G.

Yelp
Best facial in the world! I started coming to rescue spa as a part of my wedding prep routine, and saw Kass once a month for a year. She is incredible, I had never been someone who is complimented on my skin until I started seeing Kass. She helped smooth my skin, shrink pores, eliminate acne, and develop my skincare routine (in just 6 months). She works magic! She keeps my routine simple, and recommends only products I will need, never trying to sell me on more than my skin needs. I've sent five of my friends to her (also for wedding prep) and they are now loyal clients too because she works wonders. I now see Kass every 6-8 weeks and will never stop! Could go on forever, but if you are looking for someone who cares about your specific skincare needs and gives the best facials in the world, Kass is your girl!

Yelp
This spa is high end, but has the best products ever. I've been a long standing client and only trust Angelina to provide me with services, advice, and product recommendations. She is the BEST! So sweet, thoughtful, knowledgeable and has made my skin GLOW and kept my eyebrows in check. I'm very selective when it comes to estheticians and spas because I've had horrible experiences in the past. Visiting Rescue Spa, Angelina was extremely professional and took the time to walk me through everything to make me feel at ease. I started off with a basic facial and loved it so much I kept coming back doing more intensive facials and eyebrow shaping. She advised me the best products for my needs and always gave my skin the love and attention I never knew it needed. Moving to Texas, I'm sad to say that I have yet to find a local spa that I trust like Rescue Spa. My skin definitely misses the glowing touch of their facials, but I'm so happy I can still rely on the skin regimen Angelina recommended for me. Still, I can't wait to visit NYC and Angelina again soon. I highly recommend her for all your needs!
google avatar

Alena B.

Yelp
Make an appointment with Angelina for the best facial ever! I'm so happy to know her one day. Super professional specialist seriously treats everyone like royalty, and I'm so glad to have her. Most estheticians are stick to what they know and work without really assessing the skin they are working on. That's not Angelina. Now I know how to treat my skin with a proper daily routine. Angelina picked up everything I need in the salon beauty store. Thank you for your professionalism! My skin makes me feel confident and happy every day!

Yelp
Yesterday I had my first body treatment at Rescue and it exceeded my expectations on all levels. It was so relaxing. I will most definitely be back for another. I had the Detox Wrap and it was wonderful. ALSO - in my first review of I mentioned some of the names of staff members who were standouts. I got one name wrong. Sorry SETH!!!

Lujia Z.

Yelp
It offers comfortable facial experience, but if you have breakouts, DO NOT go there!!! My acne got worse after I had the $250 rescue facial. I bought the products they recommended and I don't know if I should use the products or not.

Jaimee A.

Yelp
When I made the appointment, I was shooting for like, hoping for like, but it ended up being love! I have been buying product from the Rescue Spa in Philly for a while and was super excited to hear they were opening a Manhattan outpost. On a random Sunday, I booked a classic facial with Katya. The aesthetic of the spa is minimalist with a Soho vibe - definitely luxurious. They have a lot of high end products in the shop part of the spa but no heavy sales push. The spa area is lovely, clean and plush. After you check in, they offer you tea or fruit infused water. The facial itself was terrific. The extractions were noninvasive but thorough. My skin looked clean and glowing with zero redness. The facial was very relaxing and my skin is still glowing a week later. There is no heavy product push. Katya asked what I was using and suggested switching the order of the products (which had a fantastic result) but no "you must have" or "you need this." I will definitely come back!

Yelp
Came here during a week night to get my manicure and pedicure done and was very satisfied with the customer service. Upon entering they immediately attended to me and took my coat as well as offered me a beverage. The spa was beautiful and very nicely decorated. They offer nail, skin and even hair services which makes this convenient. My manicurist, Maria was very attentive and I love the outcome of my nails! The pricing is definitely on the higher end, but if you're willing to splurge, it's definitely worth it. Overall, I would recommend this place! :)

Yelp
Rescue spa is one of my favorite places and that is largely in part because of Ela. I have been seeing Ela for about 5 years now and my skin has never looked better. She is extremely knowledgeable about skincare and always lets me know exactly what my skin needs. She is sweet, caring and gives the absolute best facial massage! If you are looking for a top of the line facial and a relaxing experience do not hesitate to hesitate to book your facial with Ela, you will not be disappointed! Nicole C

Yelp
Oh how the mighty have fallen. The great technicians have left. Now you're paying $175 to get some steam and a light facial massage with cold gloopy moisturizer. No discussion about skincare. No extractions (and when I complained they told me it was my fault because I "don't get facials often enough" - !!!??!?!!?). And woke up the next day with a (rare) zit. Bitterly disappointed. What a waste of money. Avoid!!

Yelp
ANGELINA IS HEAVEN!!!! I have had many many facials in the past and this absolutely was my favorite. She is incredibly knowledgeable, caring, informative, direct and an absolute expert. I left feeling 10 years younger and with pep in my step. Such a wise woman and zero bullshit. She is also very real and understanding that I could not afford to buy all of the products I need at once and helped me prioritize, along with giving me some samples that will no doubt result in sales. I would certainly request her when booking. She loves her work and your skin will tell. Happy New Year Angelina and I am so pleased to see you today and start my new year off RIGHT. xx Sofia

Yelp
Hands down, Rescue Spa is the best spa in NYC! I've gone on and off for the past few years and have been seeing Kassandra Verduz religiously for the past year. Masks and getting old turned my face into a disaster. Kass has not only given me the most thorough and wonderful facials but she has offered great product recommendations. My routine is on point and I get complements about my glowing skin all the time!! Highly recommend!

Yelp
I loved that place because of its location and very nice design and saunas. The whole atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. BUT (!) the service at the front desk is just terrible, they look at you like at some homeless person that stepped into their castle and talk to you the same way. I had manager Maria (I think), a latino looking lady, that checked me in last time and she talked to me as I disturbed her from doing something important on her computer. Even though I patiently waited until she finished and didn't say a word. They are not always offer drinks which I think they should do because of the great tea selection they have. What's also interesting since I stopped using their extremely expensive products my acne went away. I only need a little bio facial before my moon cycle and not even every month, just to get rid of some black heads. Also they are very pushy with their products, all of the bottles I purchased there are going to trash. It is very unprofessional, unknowledgeable to recommend something that is not good for a specific skin type. I didn't know that my skin became more oily when I moved to phily, and no one explained that to me. So I was struggling with acne, had oily skin and was told that I need to buy products which contain more oil. Can you imagine what kind of stress is that for the skin? At Rescue they are mostly interested in selling you stuff. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING UNLESS YOU TRIED A SAMPLE AND YOU ARE SURE THAT THE PRODUCT IS GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN. Most of them will tell you that you need the product but will not tell you why your skin needs it. So much money spent there but no results. I wish that place had knowledgeable specialists and nice smiling and friendly ladies at the front desk. I would come there every month just to relax. But unfortunately, both, RESCUE SPA NEW YORK and PHILY have a bad front desk reputation.

Yelp
Truly one of the best spas in NYC. I've had two facials here in the past few months, one with Morgan and most recently with Kass. Both incredible! I think you can't go wrong with who you see. I could really tell they were both highly experienced. Most recently today with Kass, she had so many awesome suggestions for my skincare routine, all in the spirit of providing advice and not selling anything (though I did finally buy the P50 lotion!). Her technique is incredible - awesome facial massage and she really took time to understand my skin type. No doubt I will be coming back in 6-8 weeks! The space is also beautiful with an awesome, high end curation of skincare, beauty and home products.

Yelp
This is my favorite spa in NYC and I have been to many including the Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons and other high end spas. The services are top drawer. The facials are a supreme experience and the massage therapy is second to none. The space is luxurious and soothing. The product offerings are high end and superior. Is it all expensive? Yes it is. But if you want to treat yourself, and why else would you go to a spa, this is the spot.

Yelp
I read other reviews detailing how the salon pushes products on you, so I was prepared going into it. However, I was still shocked at how a salon this upscale can do aggressively try and sell you $1,200 worth of product without giving you proper time to see its effects on your skin... No complaints on the facial, though. Christina was amazing! I added on microdermabrasion during my facial which I've discovered my skin loves. UPDATE: it's been a month since my facial and I have not had a single zit since then and the scarring on my chin is completely gone away. I'm not sure I will be personally purchasing their products anytime soon, but I will be making facials a monthly staple in my routine.

Yelp
Despite my first experience at rescue spa, I continued to go back, and actually had some really great experiences with other facialist. My skin made drastic improvements and my husband and I now exclusively purchase all of my skin care products from rescue spa. For my updated review, I was hoping that this would be a positive review, but I had another negative experience that I'm really frustrated with. I had an appointment booked at 5:45 on Monday. I have to be really strict with my schedule because I work West Coast hours so I don't have a lot of flexibility in the evenings. Rather than being asked if I can change my appointment time by 30 minutes, and whether my calendar can accommodate it, I was just told via text that my appointment time changed. I find this to be incredibly inconsiderate and disrespectful to my schedule as the customer. I am totally fine if someone picks up the phone and calls me and tells me that they need to adjust my appointment time due to overbooking. Together, we can work on finding another time that works and resolve the issue. But to just be told that I have to move my appointment and that there are no other confirmed options that I can take is ridiculous. I ended up just canceling my facial but the lack of customer service, and how unprofessional it was to be told over text was a huge disappointment and there needs to be some improvement in training. Previous review: I had heard of this place from a friend who previously had positive experiences. I usually get facials once a month at Heyday in Tribeca and always walk out feeling confident with a glow and plumped skin. This was the opposite- I walked out with red, rashly looking skin that made me want to hide. Yes; she did extractions but I have them done every time I get a facial. The benefit of Heyday is they used high frequency, blue light, and so many other products/to so I walk out feeling confident without the red. While I understand Rescue may use super high quality products, I am not satisfied with the results and will now be forced to use a ton more make-up than I would normally tonight to hide all the redness. Lastly, Heyday has extra touches like lip balm and nice massage, little things but things that make a difference. Considering the price, I expected more.

Yelp
My first experience was lovely. Very friendly staff and my service was great. Due to the great experience, I decided to book a second time since I'm visiting the area. Unfortunately this one didn't go so well. I had Olga as my esthetician, and I had booked the classic facial. She had convinced me to purchase the add-on of microdermabrasion. I have a large burn on my cheek that doesn't seem to be going down. It is very painful and for $200, I would expect better. I will be trying to find the name of my first esthetician and will only return to her.

Yelp
Getting a treatment at Rescue Spa is like going to rehab for 30 days! It completely revitalizes and does as it promises. I opted for their fix it all facial. Though pricey, it really does cover it all with the esthetician constantly massaging, teaching, and treating your skin the entire time. The entire team is extremely knowledgeable and helps prescribe and treat accurately with care. I love that the products they use and samples they give. Will definitely be back!
