It’s not a trail for those not to fit to hike up a steep hill. Once you get to the swing on the tree the true climb starts. Be careful of loose rocks and narrow paths that you could fall off from. Use shoes that are for hiking. The beginning you may get lost a little just look for paths that are clear there are water crossings but nothing crazy. If you make it to the top there is some really great views of the town.

Wonderful easy hike through a coastal oak forest with a creek running beside the trail. There is a loop hike but also many offshoot trails. A few moderate uphills will give you a little bit of a workout but should be fine for children as well.

This place is absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking scenery and incredible views. However, be aware that the parking lot has been a target for vandals and thieves. Multiple cars have been broken into, so it’s crucial not to leave any valuables inside. Unfortunately, our car’s passenger window was shattered, and everything from the backseat was stolen. That said, if you take precautions, this spot remains a true hidden gem—well worth the visit for its natural beauty and unforgettable sights.

Very nice place to hike. We took the short trail around the creek. It's about a 1 mile loop. There's plenty of water now due to the recent rain. We had to cross some parts of the creek. There were logs placed over to cross. We had fun looking at the rocks and listening to the running creek. We did not get to do the whole reservoir loop which is a little over 5 miles but will definitely come back to complete it. We got to see a very nice sunrise.

Started around 11am the Monday before Christmas. Full 5.6 mile loop took just under 2 hours. Total elevation gain was around 1500 feet. I went clockwise and hit High School Hill at around the 3.5 mile mark.

Best kept secret trail. Had rained yesterday, so the ground was a bit slippery but every step. Hats off to the rangers for creating this well done trail in the shade

Not a hard hike at all for a 55 yr old slightly out of shape woman. I rated as moderate because it is not simply a dirt/ gravel trail. It is a little rocky in places but nothing I couldn't handle. I did the shorter loop & can't wait to go back & try a longer one

More than just a pretty waterfall! If you’re up for a vigorous several hour hike then this is your trail! Stopping at the top for some refreshment is a good plan, as is exploring the ridge line. Trail is well marked. Counter clockwise gives you a shady start to your hike. This is a fabulous loop trail.
