Residence Hilda

We stayed at Florence Residence Hilda and had a wonderful experience. The location is superb — easy to reach everywhere on foot, which made exploring the city a breeze. The hosts are great, friendly, and very helpful with tips and recommendations. The rooms are exceptionally clean, spacious, and comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose Residence Hilda again on our next visit to Florence. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a perfect base in the city!

What a beautiful way to park yourself in Florence. We spent 4 nights there. It was a great location within reasonable walking distance to nearly everything we wanted to see. Hauling a large suitcase to/from the train station wasn't easy so we took a taxi when leaving (and the wonderful women at the front desk arranged the taxi for us). Lots of room to spread out, great kitchen and table area, so we were able to bring in our own breakfast and even had dinner leftovers which we reheated in the microwave. I even managed to forget a couple sweaters in the room after we left, so they contacted us and shipped them back to our house (we paid the shipping charge) which was great. You'll love it here.

Residence Hilda was our home base for 4 days in Florence and I can't recommend it enough - the rooms are more like apartments, impeccably clean and extremely spacious. Safe, quiet, just blocks from the Duomo and the staff were communicative and accommodating, even letting us keep our luggage stored in the lobby for several hours after checkout while we did our final stops around Florence before our late afternoon train. Highly recommend for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Florence!

Had an amazing stay here. The room was clearly recently renovated, big in size and impeccably clean. Very strong A/C and comfy beds. The service at the front desk went above and beyond on our requests.

Wow what an awesome place. Great location close to everything yet quiet. Amenities were excellent. Room was very well planned out. At the front desk Marzanna was a delight, she was knowledgeable and very attentive. Will definitely stay here again when I return to Florence. Thank you again for such a wonderful stay

I stayed here for four days and it was a great location to explore the city! It is near all of the major sites and a lot of great restaurants. The room itself was simple but very clean and had a small kitchen which was fantastic! Highly recommend!

This is the best accommodation I’ve stayed in Italy! I’ve been to Rome, Bologna and Florence and this is the cleanest, spacious and most beautiful place. Will definitely be booking this hotel again when I’m back in Florence. Big thank you to the staff for their stellar service and the housekeeper for keeping our room clean:)

Booked this apartment online for one week. Great location, had a kitchen with all the dishes and pots and pans you would need. But no oven or dishwasher. Great staff!

This is only my second time in Florence, so excuse me if these amenities seem common: two blocks from Il Duomo, one block from Dell'Accademia; executive apartment with a dinette, kitchenette, huge bathroom with walk in shower, large bedroom with huge bed; security / private entrance, with card room entry and private safe. Great breakfast across the street. If that wasn't enough, Gabriel offered impeccable recommendations for dinner, and made reservations for us (definitely need to hit Pelo and Acquacotta)! Great staff, great experience!!

This serviced apartment is excellent! We have a bedroom with desk, plenty of closet space, a couch that could be a single bed, a kitchen with refrigerator, stovetop (no oven), microwave, table and chairs. The kitchen has the appliances, cooking utensils and silverware you need. There's an Italian coffee press or Nescafé available. The bathroom has a shower with great water pressure, toilet, bidet and lots of amenities, such as shampoo, conditioner, vanity set and soap. Linens are changed every other day. If you need anything, reception is available until 11:00 pm and they are most helpful. You can even email them something if you need it to be printed (such as ticket orders). The residence is located an easy walk from the Duomo. There's even a small grocery store nearby. I would definitely return to Residence Hilda! It's near the Central Market where you can buy the ingredients to cook your own meals. Oh yes, there's even air conditioning!

This is a small boutique hotel in Florence, Italy, located on a quiet street between Duomo and Galleria dell'Accademia. Only 12 units in building. An apartment style with kitchen, bath with shower only, and large bed in separate room. Fantastic maid service, including washing dishes. Front desk staff are extremely helpful in providing information, places to eat, transportation, etc. Only drawback is that the front desk is only staffed during day with a 2 hour break from 1-3 pm. So if you need assistance during off time hours, then need to make arrangements ahead of time. Breakfast is not provided, but there is a grocery store down the block and a kitchen in apartment. Beds were VERY hard and uncomfortable. They provide hard pillows, softer pillows are available but have to request from front desk. Floors are wood, and the sound travelled. The upstairs occupants had small children, and the noise from them running was intolerable. Wi-fi was spotty and very unreliable. Would highly recommend, especially for families looking for space, quiet and the ability to make your own meals.
