My family of four — that’s me, my wife, and our two nine-year-old twins — has been coming to the Residence Inn at the Seaport in Boston every year since 2020. After five years, it’s safe to say this place has become our go-to spot. The staff, the rooms, and the location keep bringing us back.
First off, the staff is fantastic — always friendly, attentive, and ready to help. The manager even checks in via text during your stay to make sure everything’s going well. Any time we’ve needed something (extra towels, blankets, even a room change due to noisy neighbors), they’ve handled it quickly and without any hassle.
The rooms are spacious, super clean, and still feel like new. The kitchens are fully stocked, which is perfect when you want to cook a few meals instead of eating out every night. There’s plenty of room for the kids to do their thing while the adults get a little space too — or vice versa. The lobby’s always tidy, with lots of seating and a small bar. Breakfast is your typical Residence Inn setup: a few hot items, some cold options — nothing fancy, but it does the job.
But honestly, the best part of this hotel is the location. The Seaport area has exploded in recent years with tons of restaurants, activities, and places to explore. There’s a Trader Joe’s and a wine/liquor store just a short walk away. And getting around is easy — South Station is nearby for the T and trains, ferries to Provincetown, and the Silver Line from Logan drops you off practically at the doorstep (and it’s free!).
If you’re traveling with kids (or even if you’re not), I’d highly recommend this place. It’s been a great fit for our family year after year.
