Excellent hotel in an excellent location. We were able to walk to pretty much anything we wanted to do or at least walk to South Station and take the subway from there - it took us about 40 mins to get to Fenway,, including the walking time from the hotel, train time, and walking to the ballpark. ||The lobby is really nice and spacious. There’s a very neat courtyard that’s open. A Nero Cafe is connected. The bar is a great touch and the drinks were crazy priced (compared to Boston prices). The breakfast was good. All the way to the top (6th) floor. The gym has all anyone would need, though it was a pretty hot in there. ||Our room was quite large, a one bedroom with king bed, living room area with pull-out couch, and kitchen with high-top table and chairs. ||This was one of the more unique Residence Inns we’ve stayed. It felt more like a nice Marriott than a suite style Marriott brand. We all agreed we’d absolutely stay here again.

Google
Great looking property and although the typical breakfast isn't anything special, it is still so much better than others. The scrambled eggs look and taste like scrambled eggs! The bagels are probably from Costco, so they're thick and delicious. The staff is fast, friendly and responsive. The rooms are large, up to date and the beds are comfortable. Bottom line: I'm glad we're staying here.

Google
I am SO impressed with this hotel! I have stayed in Boston and seaport many times and this hotel by far exceeded expectations. The decor in the inside is so nice, super modern and industrial. The employees have been nothing but kind and helpful and let us check in early. The rooms are huge! Kitchen is fully stocked and bed is extremly comfortable. Overall I have enjoyed my stay and highly recommend staying here!

Google
I have only been to Boston twice now and both times were for work. Here recently due to the Global Network Outage from CrowdStrike my flight was canceled and I was redirected to BOS. There were not a lot of hotel options available so I stumbled upon this location. Words cannot explain or describe how amazing this hotel is. The rooms, the amenities, the location, and venues near this property are breathtaking. Next time I am in Boston I will definitely be booking here for the duration of my trip! Highly recommended 🙏

Google
Great rooms. Many, many restaurants nearby. Staff exceptional. Because a tunnel was closed, traffic from the airport was very difficult. Property updated and a pleasure to experience.

Google
Amazing location, closer to sea port and most of the hang out places. They provide great breakfast options and fresh pancakes/waffles. I would definitely stay there again.

Google
We just left n I'm sitting at the airport ( only 8 min Uber too) thinking about what a nice hotel it was, and will def stay again the next time in Boston! The rooms are industrial chic and would have never had excepted! Great breakfast buffet and the fact it's included in remarkable. Everyone we encountered was very friendly too. Nice Job!

Google
This is a wonderful hotel in great area of Boston. We love the studio set up of the room. Although we didn’t use the kitchen it’s so nice to not be staying a typical four wall hotel room. It was so comfortable and relaxing to have some space. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was very good served in a very nice area. We will definitely be back

Yelp
Warm, cozy, prompt: everyone at the hotel: from the help with our luggage (Widelfry) new property: historic, amazingly re-done that preserves the heritage of this gem. I'd say, one of the finest Marriott's I've been to, in the US. Surprisingly for the location, the suites are hugeeeeee Very very convenient for food, commute and nestled in the nice new seaport part of downtown Boston. Alanna followed up promptly, took care of our requests for the bed. Widelfry: super helpful with our luggage even though we didn't tip him. The smile didn't go away until we left. Liz was warm and friendly The gym is top notch: new maintained machines, hygienic. Breakfast was served warm and hot. Cheers to this gem of a Marriott property. A must visit within the Marriott chain.

Yelp
As a lifetime gold Marriott having stayed over 750 nights I can say that the Marriott in at Seaport downtown is a fun experience! Although the front staff will change constantly the folks running the place today are doing an outstanding job. Situated in an old factory building from the early 1900s it provides a chic fun experience with the residence inn touch. We stayed in a queen suite with sofa bed, providing ample room for us and three teenagers Conveniently located to food shopping and attractions, we were able to mower on foot quite easily. The manager was quite responsive with any request we had during our stay and insured that we were happy and had transportation upon request Bravo to the Marriott residence Inn at Seaport downtown

Yelp
This was a very nice place to spend two nights while exploring some of Boston. The room was spacious with a full kitchen, breakfast bar, living room area with sleeper sofa, and separate bedroom area. Our family of four was able to pretty comfortably exist in the room, which is saying something. There was no view to speak of (other than the parking lot), but the location is nice: on top of some fun restaurants and bars (we went to the Trillium brew pub) and easy walking distance to the Boston tea party stuff and harbor. We parked our car (for $40/night) and never used it while we were in town, which was nice. The room included free breakfast, which was significantly better than average. They had the now-standard Belgian waffle maker although it made four mini-waffles, which was harder to get right than one bigger one. They also had mini quiches one morning. The bacon was very thin and a bit sad, but the turkey sausage was great. Easy to have a fast, full meal without wasting time, which I always love. The only major downside was that the walls were pretty thin. I was exhausted the first night and even so the noise from one of the adjacent rooms between the talking and the TV almost kept me up.

Yelp
A really modern and comfy hotel in the seaport area, in easy walking distance to all major Burroughs of Boston! Has a good cafe on the first floor for coffee and baked goods, a skylight covered courtyard in the middle, a bar open each night til 11 or so, couches and TVs in the lobby, and a 24/7 market! The desk person wasn't always the nicest or greatest but there is a real person that checked in with me during my stay via text, which is nice. I had to move rooms from second floor to higher level due to street noise and cafe smells permeating our room. Higher levels were quieter and just as nice. Each room has a kitchen and a living room with bedroom, which is common for residence inns. A good amount of food options and stores are close by as well if you want to go out and ride pick ups are easily received. There's even some history to the building itself that was intriguing. Don't think twice about staying here, it's very modern, clean and comfy!

Yelp
I loved it so much, the hotel reminds me of these apartments they made out of a chocolate factory in Boston, Adams St. Such a rustic, grunge look that I love. Checking in was easy and pleasant. I had reservations for two rooms which they put side by side (thank you for that). The place is beyond gorgeous and in such a great location. Parking is 39$ a day, but there really is not much of an option when it comes to parking. They have meter parking on Congress st. There is complimentary breakfast and the rooms are awesome. My one negative comment is the noise you get off the street. Seaport is a busy place on the weekends so keep that in mind when booking your room. I was on the second floor so I could hear everything on the street. Also, it takes a while for the water to get hot but when it does, its so good.

JoAnn F.

Yelp
Rooms are very spacious and were clean. Did have a bit of a stuffy smell upon arrival. Glad they had the air purifier that we could turn on. The walls are VERY thin. We heard the children next door jumping and screaming the entire weekend. I am a mother and I get that small children play, but I found it odd how much we could hear them. My only dissapointment was with the front desk. We were not advised upon arrival what the fee would be for a lost parking card, nor is it mentioned on my parking receipt for the garage across the street. We missplaced it and were charged $100 lost fee on top of the $39 per day fee to park. When I got to the garage, young man told me they only charge $20 per day if you park with them directly. Very unfortunate as the hotel is in an awesome area and has great interior archictecture.

Bob S.

Yelp
Very cool spot. It's convenient for anything near the South Boston waterfront and It's a short walk to downtown. The building is a converted shoe factory that is beautifully renovated showing lots of exposed brick and beams. I love a hotel that smells new, and this one has the aroma of a building that was opened last week. The staff is friendly, rooms are well-appointed and comfortable.

Rebecca H.

Yelp
We had an excellent stay at this place. We were in town to attend a show at The Grand which is just a short walk away and this place was the perfect place to crash. I really like Residence Inns because of how large they are and the extra amenities. This place was no different. We actually made the mistake of parking in the garage BEFORE checking in which I would not recommend because the rates are different and if you elect to pay for parking ($40 a day if I remember correctly), they will give you a card to scan in and out of the garage as you please. Check in was quick and painless. The staff were friendly. We thought we would have a friend with us, so I selected a suite which we ultimately ended up having all to ourselves due to poor weather which always happens to occur every time and only when we have plans. The room was clean and included a kitchen area and breakfast bar, couch/seating area with TV, large bedroom with another TV, and bathroom. The bed was super cozy and towels were clean. There is plenty of communal space which includes a large seating area in the lobby with a bar that closed just before we wanted to order a drink at around 11:15pm. There is also another seating area and laundry availabilities. Location is great if you plan on doing shit in the seaport area. There are many restaurants and bars within a short walking distance. I would highly recommend staying in this hotel.

Kevin S.

Yelp
General Manager was very rude and unwilling to help. I had a family emergency and had to cancel my reservation but was charged the full amount for three nights stay. Despite receiving a cancellation number, there was no communication that I would still be charged. Very disappointing at how I was treated as a loyal Marriott Rewards member.

Hiro S.

Yelp
This is very nice Residence Inn - it is actually more like one of Marriott's Autograph properties. The old industrial building was converted nicely to a hotel without losing its charm. While it's not near downtown Boston, there are a lot of cool venues in the neighborhood and downtown is short Uber/Lyft ride away. Servers at breakfast were very friendly more than front desk folks. I was pre-upgraded and they provided early morning check-in which was much appreciated after arriving via redeye. Downside: there are two elevators, but one of them was out of order during my stay unfortunately. It did not help that it was also shared with Housekeeping staff... .

Tara R.

Yelp
This was my second time staying at this hotel. It is always clean and the staff is friendly. My favorite part of the hotel is the elevator which is glass on one side and looks into a little lounge area on the ground floor.

Yelp
Was deciding between this or Copley Marriott for a weekend stay w my toddler and husband. Hands down the best choice. Super close to museums, water, and conveniently located next to many restaurants. Breakfast spread is really decent. Room is clean, with high ceilings. Love the homey-ness of the dinette. One con: it's loud outside so not the best option for super light sleepers.

Ben H.

Yelp
Very cool place to stay in. A little expensive but it's right in the heart of Boston downtown so you really can't complain. The breakfast is awesome and the overall accommodations are fantastic. Seems fairly new... Perhaps a remodel of an older building. Very comfortable and definitely a place I'll come back to again.

Marla B.

Yelp
A little out of the way from downtown, but worth the walk. Large apartment style room with kitchen. Free breakfast daily and nice coffee shop, Caffe' Nero, within the building. Clean and industrial style Marriott Residence Inn. Great industrial vibe throughout the area. Lucky bar across the street with live acoustic music, fantastic upscale oyster restaurant, Row 34, in walking distance, cool prohibition style bar around the block called Drink, and many other great restaurants in walking distance, Lolita, Menton, and Sportello. A little concerned about staying at a Residence Inn, but this was a very pleasant surprise! Great find!

Tom H.

Yelp
If you have ever stayed in a residence inn you know they are usually a pretty basic hotel that has a kitchenette, often used for longer term stays. This place is nothing like that and by far the nicest residence inn I have ever stayed in. Great location, feels like a boutique hotel. Somewhat pricey but you are paying for the location in the seaport. Small bar in the lobby, few restaurants within walking distance so great place. My new go to when staying in Boston for sure.

Chad R.

Yelp
Great hotel! Love the exposed beams and spacious room! Location is fantastic! I know where I'll be staying each time I return to Boston!

Rebecca T.

Yelp
Locations is great, the room was nice, but the bed was not very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast had lots of options and was delicious!

Todd Y.

Yelp
I really wanted to give this a 5* rating, but the small issues I had knocked it down to 4* Pros: The location is fantastic, plenty to walk to. The children's museum is only about a 5 minute walk. The staff is super friendly and helpful. From the valet to the front desk to the breakfast staff.. all wonderful to deal with The decor is unique. I've stayed in many residence inns and I love the unique decor of this place. They did a great job with this place Cons: Internet - staying in the 6th floor, it was very spotty at best. The tub drain was very very slow.. I hate showering when the basin is full of dirty water Asked for a pack n play for my 2 year old and during check in asked to have it by 2 and was told no problem.. didn't show up until close to 4 and my little one was already napping.

Bugsy S.

Yelp
DONT LOSE PARKING GARAGE KEY FOB or you PAY $100! Personally I believe they actually WANT you to lose it so they can make 9000% profit on the plastic card. It was NOT verbalized at check-in & when I complained the reply was it's written on the paper you sign. I just drove ~5 hours so im not reading anything. Renaissance is WAY nicer. No Pool, No room service here. Breakfast was ONLY descent thing (descent, not great). Hotel poorly attempts to creat an industrial look w brick and wood running throughout. There was a musty smell & humid feel that you can't shake. Had to put my room's AC to 67 to combat the humidity in the building. Lastly, the gym is pathetic which is why I had it to myself both nights. Very disappointed

Yelp
To say it pains me to do this is the understatement of the year. The one-star rating is not for the property or the staff - only for the poor judgement call made by management today. For the last 5 years, my family and I have stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Downtown/Seaport AT LEAST once a year, if not more. Anyone who knows me knows that I lovingly refer to this hotel as "My Boston Apartment" and I have probably told 30 of you to stay there when you ask. The staff is lovely, the rooms are gorgeous, the location is prime and they are pet friendly. I had a reservation for two rooms for my birthday weekend with my father, friends and family and I was beyond excited to show them my "home." Unfortunately due to my work trip to Chicago, I had to cancel with plans to reschedule in June or July (when rates are higher mind you). I called Central Reservations to cancel as I was unable to cancel the reservation from my app. Imagine my surprise when I received TWO hotel bills on my birthday - one from the Marriott property I stayed at in Chicago and one from none other than the Seaport Residence in for upwards of $400. When I called the hotel, the manager on duty told me she would be unable to refund me and that I needed to call central reservations and open a case. When I called back to check on my case today, I was told that the case had been close as the Manager would not refund my "no show" charge because the hotel was "sold out" that night. (i.e. the would have lost out on the $400 due to a mistake during the cancellation process). Central reservations called this same manager again today and she again told them she would not refund me. In total disappointment and disbelief, I called her myself again, to confirn that my loyalty and love for her property, in fact, was not of more value than the $400 mistake that was out of my control. Her response remained the same. Many of you know I have been travelling EXTENSIVELY (as you can see below) for work and leisure since 2013 - and I have stayed exclusively with Marriott Hotels for ALL of those trips except two restaurant openings where the hotels were already full. I'm incredibly sad to have to sever my relationship with this particular property, and let everyone I've recommended it to know that there is no value placed on your loyalty by this management team. Being in the industry for 15 years, many of you know that I would NEVER take the time to write something like this if I didn't explore every avenue for resolutions first. When I re-book my trip, I will be trying another pet-friendly property in the area and I will keep you all posted with our experience.

Yelp
OMG Loved the location; the industrial decor; the breakfast and the employees. We had trouble deciding on a hotel for one night in downtown Boston. Glad we picked this gem!

Jessica R.

Yelp
We just stayed two nights at this hotel. Two adults and one child. The hotel is very clean. I love how trendy the hotel lobby, bar/breakfast area and rooms are. They put out super fresh salad, rice and beef chili out Saturday night for the guest. The chili was very tasty and a free dinner that we were not expecting. Walking distance to the aquarium and many landmarks in downtown Boston. We can't wait to come back to Boston and stay at this hotel again. We highly recommend.

Melissa L.

Yelp
This hotel is awesome and conveniently located near the T/South Station. The brick and wood accents highlight that New England feel! Aesthetically the hotel looks warm and inviting. The lobby area is kept very clean and breakfast is the usual continental fare of eggs, turkey, yogurt, oatmeal and waffles. One star less for housekeeping-wish there was more attention to detail in providing new shampoo & conditioner and wiping down of counter areas. Bedding could also use an upgrade-seemed a bit rough percale-wise. Overall, would definitely visit again!

Lori W.

Yelp
This is....the most unique and beautiful Residence Inn I have ever stayed! Having checked out the website, we knew the history behind the building and the architecture we would expect. Stunning decor, colors and amenities. Very large room, full size fridge and spacious seating areas. Excellent shower and comfortable bed. Excellent location using public transportation. Easy Uber to the airport in the am. Large variety of food for the free breakfast - which we both enjoyed too. The staff was very helpful and friendly. My amazing fiance used his free night (from his Marriott credit card) for this stay as we just returned from Martha's Vineyard and were flying back to DC the next morning. The price would have been $499 for the night so i am doubly glad he had a free night! Absolutely stunning hotel !!

Ashley L.

Yelp
The Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Downtown is in such a wonderful spot. It's super nice, clean, quiet and you know when you're staying with Marriott that the cleanliness is always spot on and you don't have anything to worry about. When I checked in, I had to sign a noise waiver and a "no smoking" acknowledgment document which I had never had to do staying at a hotel anywhere before, which I found odd and made me a little concerned that it would be loud and the rooms would smell there, but everything was to perfection. The rooms were so lush and comfortable, it was basically like living in a nicer apartment than most people can afford in cities like NYC. The room had a solid kitchen, well stocked with utensils, cutlery, and glassware and appliances. They had a nice couch, an air purifier (amazing, never had that in a hotel room before), a solid shower (granted the shower pressure could have been better), but everything else including the bed was comfortable, clean, and quiet. I loved that it was clearly using the framework of the original building that used to be here and that everything was retrofitted to the modern hotel it is today. Not only was the room wonderful, I had no issues with noisy neighbors, the breakfast bar in the morning was plentiful, clean, and had lots of offerings and servers helping out, and everything from check-in to check out was seamless. Located in the seaport district, it's far from anything in the typical downtown Boston/historical areas but to be a bit away from it all but still have plenty of options for dining, this is a great spot all the same. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend anyone to do so as well.

Jennifer E.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for three nights on Marriott reward points. We were in room 616 which was on the top floor and on a corner. It was a king studio and it was perfect for two people. The layout was efficient. The breakfast has hot and cold items. They don't have the same hot items every day. It is a good way to start the day. The WiFi was strong and worked well. The shower in the room had great pressure and plenty of hot water. It has two shower heads. One can be a hand held. Towels were better than other Residence Inn we had stayed in. The location was great as well. No where a tourist would want to go is more than a $8 Uber or a subway stop away. Do note the front door of the hotel is actually not on Congress and so you may need to be on Congress to meet your Uber. Super easy to use the free Silver line to get to this hotel from the airport. Use the Courthouse stop and then walk the one block. Staff was friendly and able to answer all of our questions. The fact that the room was only 40,000 points a night was great for Boston area. The have a bar at night. Very nice to come back and get a drink in the hotel. Also there is a market across the street that has beer, wine, spirits and some food. Not enough to make a meal more snack food. The bed could use improvement. It was fine the first night but by the last night I wasn't as happy. It isn't as comfortable as many other hotel beds. Additionally, the walls are thin as others have pointed out. This didn't bother us but there were times we could hear others. Additionally, their own house keeping doesn't follow their hang the towel up we will reuse it. We tried to keep them from being washed but every day we had brand new towels. Once they ran the dishwasher with only two wine glasses in it. What a waste of water. We did enjoy being on the sixth floor. The elevators are fast and in good order. The entire vibe of this hotel is good. I loved that they didn't make it another boring Residence Inn. There is a coffee shop that has an entry via the hotel if you need something more special than the hotel coffee. This part of town has some good places to eat and drink. Row 34 across the street was probably our best meal in Boston. Overall if we are back in Boston we would look to stay here again. It was a great three nights.

Janet M.

Yelp
I rarely give a hotel I stayed at five stars but this hotel was exceptional. I wanted to be safe yet comfort on a recent trip. The hotel is Covid compliant and the extra precautions they took made me feel comfortable. I have to say this is one of the best Residence Inn I ever stayed at. I'm known to be very picky. There are sanitizing stations throught the hotel. The normal buffet is replaced with a delicious grab and go bag. The rooms are impeccable, clean and spacious. The staff was pleasant and professional. The hotel is in the seaport district within walking distance to great eateries.

Ashley S.

Yelp
One of my new favorite Marriotts I have stayed in! It is a converted factory and the rooms have exposed brick and wood framing. The walls are paper thin like every other Marriott tho. Woke up to the neighbors sexy time and heard every word/noise. We cheered em on tho. The atrium is beautifully done with the brick and lights. It is convenient to the Tea Party Ships and a stop for the hop on/off Old Town Trolley. Lots of easy walks to food.

Michael W.

Yelp
This was a good find and it is a expensive hotel. It is in a good location for people coming to tour and to see the sites. Everything in this hotel is enormous! Big hotel with big rooms and showers. Big elevators, a big lobby. A big breakfast in the morning, and a big bill when you check out. They have valet parking or self parking for almost $30.00 a night. Think about going with the valet because the parking garage is under construction and there was no security in site after dark. I suggest that once you park, leave it there. Take a cab, use Uber, or walk, as it is expensive to park anyplace in downtown Boston. The hotel staff here is friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. No pool but they do have a exercise room. Many excellent restaurants located within walking distance of the hotel. My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel and I give them four solid yelp stars.

Paul M.

Yelp
The staff is friendly and helpful, the location is nice and not too out of the way of everything, and the rooms are very nice. The only downside of this hotel is the walls and the internet. To start with the walls, you can very easily hear what the people in the room next door is talking about and vice versa. The internet is also not good at all, even the Ethernet is whatever.

Susan B.

Yelp
The nicest Residence Inn we have stayed at -- it really has the feel of a boutique hotel. We primarily choose RI because we are always traveling with our dog. Fantastic location just a few blocks from the water. We took advantage of all the usual amenities--breakfast and late check out. It was also great to have an actual coffee shop on the property! If you are looking for a hotel Trillium Brewery, you cannot get much closer! Great long weekend in Boston! We recommend this hotel 100% and we will be back!

Bonn N.

Yelp
Great location, great hotel. Came for a one night stay and did not expect the suite to be so huge! We just expected a regular room. But it was very chic, large shower and spacious living area. Living area spacious enough to fit two kids/guests. Good family size. Breakfast was good, one of the better ones we have had as Marriott Rewards members. So many options, wish we had another day to spend here. Next time!

Nicki S.

Yelp
Theres upsides and downsides. Pros: - Location is great. There are plenty of places to go grab dinner at and it's easy for uber to find you. - Rooms are really nice! You have all the amenities of an apartment at a hotel rate. - Staff was great. Always friendly and helpful. Very very nice. - Free breakfast was great addition. Food choices were good and always fresh. Cons: (I was on the second floor so this is from an experience there): - Sounds like you're in a crappy 1 bedroom apartment on the bottom floor. If you're unlucky to have anyone above you, you will hear them walking, moving, kids running, chairs being dragged out allll niiiight long. The sound proofing between floors is terrible. - Loud loud loud! The street noise alone is a bit much, between cars, people talking and horns you won't sleep much. You have to also keep your windows closed the entire time or everyone can look right in. - When the person by me showered, my entire bathrooma nd bedroom filled up smelling like herbal essence. Its not a bad scent but I dont really think I should have to smell another guests shower experiement. It was so overpowering it gave me a massive headache. Overall a great hotel but DO NOT let them put you on a bottom floor. You'll wake up tired, irritated and wanting a broom stick to tap the person above yous floor when all you hear all night is pounding of heavy foot people.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Just spent two nights at this hotel. It was fantastic! Rooms are spacious and the staff was beyond friendly. Helped was offered every time we were in the lobby. The night manager even gave us a brief history lesson on what went into the renovation and restoration of the building. Great location. Walking distance to many great places.

Brad M.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this hotel. It has a great look, and the rooms are spacious! It was easy for our Uber drivers to find us (and Uber is much cheaper than cabs here).... and the management was excellent. The rooms were clean, and the front desk was very helpful!

L B.

Yelp
Nice hotel, but we decided to stay at a Marriott for the Boston Marathon because we knew they had HBO, and it's also the season premiere of Game of Thrones. Really disappointed to arrive and discover that although their TVs all say they have HBO go, they actually do not. A call to the front desk gave no explanation.

Brian F.

Yelp
The best Residence I have ever stayed in! It's in an old New England confectionery factory; so all rooms have high ceilings and a cool loft look. Rooms are very spacious for a city center hotel, each with a cool modern kitchen and rain shower. The breakfast is well-stocked in the morning, and the staff are all great. Everybody was smiles and very welcoming of our dog. Also when we had to leave early for an emergency, they refunded our whole last night, which technically they were not required to do. I will definitely stay in this hotel again when I am in Boston! The only negative is the parking... Self parking is $30 a night, which is pretty steep.

Sandra M.

Yelp
Staff are so incredible hospitable and accommodating. I really love the warm industrial look. It is very comfortable and aesthetic environment. The breakfast bar has a wide selection of toppers for coffee and waffles. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Lita W.

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel because my friend was a member of the Marriott. It is a very beautiful hotel. Full kitchen, utensils and cookware supplied. Complementary tea, coffee, and even fruits (apples and oranges). It has a modern and clean look to the room, with sleek, wooden furniture, a tv, and an ihome music player. The floor furnishing is half rug on one side and half wooden on the other Breakfast was included in our stay. Their scrambled eggs were dry, their sausages were okay. I was surprised they had a waffle machine which made nice crispy waffles with sufficient toppings like blueberries, strawberries, walnuts, cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, and maple syrup. They also served oatmeal, a few types of cereals, bread, muffins, yogurt, and fruit. I had a very satisfying breakfast. The staff is also very attentive. I dropped my fork once and one of them was at my side in an instant to pick it up for me and got me a new one when I could have gotten it myself. I will definitely come back again the next time I visit Boston.

Yelp
Any visit to Boston usually begins and ends with a stay at this facility. Between the friendliness of the staff, the super convenient location for both water events inner city Boston events, just make it a perfect place to relax & recharge. This urban converted building turns the stay into something that feels like you're actually on a really urban adventure. From it's super airy atrium, to the modern inspired modular rooms; this place, has lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Each of the rooms we've stayed in, has a slightly different layout which is how they all fit into the natural structure of the building. Giving those who live in houses an opportunity at staying in a super cool urban environment. Close to public transportation including the ferry for those folks headed down to the Cape. This is a great central location for nice walk to the italian area of town. They've gotten in-hotel coffee shop that caters to the neighborhood, as well as it's traditional Residence Inn morning buffet. Much like other Residence Inns, the staff tend toward the awesome side of hosting. Working whatever they can to help make your stay the best. Word up though; while not the most expensive of the hotels in this area it isn't inexpensive. So plan ahead, sign up with Marriott deals so that you can utilize your points or discounts as appropriate. This site also is within a short walk to the childrens museum; so on this visit also staying were more families than previous stays which made navigating the breakfast buffett a little "treacherous" as not all children (and some adults it would seem) have been taught proper public shared food space/buffett curtesies or hygiene practices. So if you want particularly kid or family-friendly you might want to call ahead to find out if there's a kid focused weekend happening.

Yelp
Ok. I'm not going to enjoy this review because I love the Marriott (lifelong business traveller; lifetime Platinum Elite). I'm not very picky and certainly not a diva. But I do hope that the hotel I choose in a city makes my life easier... because life of the road is hard and often I will stay in a place for months at a time. Firstly, this Residence Inn is different from the standard brand look/feel. It has the feel of a boutique hotel; a boutique hotel with a history. The staff are lovely. All the interactions I have had have been positive. Kudos for that. The rooms are super nice, spacious, and clean. My introduction to the hotel was me accidentally booking a room twice. Totally my fault. Totally my fault that it was a prepay; the prepay concept seems to be a Boston thing, which I'm not used to. So, I was billed twice. I called the hotel and they credited back the amount for one stay (and I'm thankful for that) BUT... because I'm Canadian and the refund was not back dated to the original transaction, I lost $167 in exchange rates (the bank totally won on this one). This money comes out of my pocket. My next experience with the hotel was the stay. I arrived really late at night and the lady at the front desk was super nice. No issues here. But when I got to my room, I discovered that the carpet was soaking wet. Not wanting to cause a fuss because I knew the hotel was oversold (and because it was super late) I went to bed. When I woke, my room was FREEZING... I could barely move I was shaking so much. To add insult to injury, there was no hot water. So, picture this: trying to have a cold shower as fast as possible, struggling to get dressed in a freezing room while completely numb, while standing on wet carpet. I'm pretty sure I entered the realm of hypothermia. It took me all morning to feel warm again. Unfortunately, these two things coupled with how hard it is to book a room at the hotel, the fluctuating cost, the frequent blackouts/sold out weeks, and the whole concept of "prepay" for your room (with no flexibility) is driving me elsewhere. My needs are simple: a hotel that makes my life easier. This stay was not easy.

Yelp
Nice building, great location, nicely appointed rooms. So what are not to like? The staff certainly does not go out of the way to help you. I have Gold elite status but it didn't matter. The person who appeared to be the manager told me she would assist me in getting my board passes printed but never showed up. What about Wifi? No password was provided. The staff here is likely the worst I have encountered in a Marriott facility.

Yelp
Had a lovely stay here. The desk staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The breakfast is full of wonderful choices. The room itself is spacious and very nicely decorated. The location is great for the waterfront, financial district and not far from the north end.

Yelp
Stayed here for a work trip but would love to go back for vacation. Very cool space: modern touches inside an old brick building. Great seating area in the lobby where we were able to get some work done. Room was sparkling clean and very comfortable. I think my favorite part was the shower: spacious with a large shower head and a hand-held. It made me want to take an extra shower! The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would love to stay here again!

Yelp
Great hotel. good service. Clean and well done. Lots of extras like lunch bags for runners of the Boston Marathon, hot soup in the afternoon, cookies and ice cream. Super close and nice. Very helpful staff so impressed. Great breakfast. Easy and safe location with plenty of walkable options to eat and stroll. Good housekeeping.

Yelp
Don't stay here - they refused to honor my reservation. Said it was due to a fire at a guests apt. They booked me at Aloft, a lower end hotel, where the desk clerk said they'd heard the same issue from multiple people. Not to be insensitive, but if my home was being renovated, I'd know ahead of time. When I called Marriott, they said call back and ask for Loyalty - the answering comouter doesn't recognize that. I've stayed at Marriott hotels 20 nights in the past 8 months - looking for a new hotel chain.

Yelp
Rooms are beautiful, converted warehouse has been redone with a upscale but yet original charm. The apartment style rooms are larger than other residence inns I've been at. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free wifi and continental breakfast are a plus.

Yelp
We stayed here for a long weekend vacation. Beautiful architecture and design with lots of history. Rooms and beds were very clean and comfortable. Service was excellent and accommodating with our flight times. No awesome views because of surrounding buildings but it's in a great area with really good food within walking distance.
