We love staying here since you know the Marriott name will deliver satisfaction every time. Rooms are very clean and well equipped with everything in the kitchen. Seemed like new towels and bed sheets too. Bed was super comfortable. Loved spending time on the balcony too. Had great views of the sunset every evening. The Marriott app is easy to use when you have any requests. The staff were super accommodating and the person who cleaned our room was fantastic. We will return.

My mom and I spent one night here during the May long weekend in 2025. The checking in was smooth and took maybe 2 minutes There are two elevators available and they’re slowish but nothing major. We loved our room - a ruins with I’ve king bed, a sofa and kitchenette. There was also a desk and a dining table for 2 as well as an armchair and a TV on a swivel that can be watched from all parts of the suite. There was also a window that opened for fresh air next to the bed and a walkout balcony in the living room. It was a cold weekend and the room had an individually controlled air system that allowed us to up the temperature in our room. The kitchen was well stocked. The bathroom was a bit tight and also had a bit of an odour but everything was clean and well maintained. Again, minor issue with the smell - my nose is just very sensitive. There are nice walking trails near the property as well as cute businesses on the boardwalk as well as ship excursions walking distance from the hotel.

2025 June 4★ 1 night. At the start of Muskoka and right beside Muskoka discover center and the bay, this hotel offers a nice and peaceful stay. Rooms are nice, clean and fairly decent in size. Views are good either way and generally face towards some body of water. Gym, pool, free breakfast. Great amenities. Service was attentive. Bed was good. Not too soft or over used. Trail right behind the hotel that leads to the bay or boardwalk path to some stores. Worth checking out.

My husband and I stayed with our 10-month-old baby and senior dog for a weekend gateway and we had a lovely time! The room was clean, the kitchenette was well equipped with a fridge, tabletop stove, dishwasher, utensils. We brought the baby's meals from home, and it was really helpful. The courtesy breakfast was also a plus, they served hot meals (scrambled eggs, turkey hamburger, bacon, egg/spinach muffin). The indoor pool was also nice, our baby enjoyed it. Our dog also had a great time and was quietly napping during out stay after nice walks outside. The only downside is there aren't many restaurants in town open for a nice Sunday lunch, so we drove out of town to Hwy 11 to Thong Thai Restaurant - and it was a pleasant surprise as well!

This hotel has an amazing view, clean and big rooms with complimentary breakfast and activities. Highly recommended. There are lots of activities to do in the very vibrant, historical town.

It was our first time in this hotel with my wife. We picked it because they can accommodate our 2 dog (100$). We had a great time, staff was friendly and professional, room was better than in the picture and location is close to trails. There is a lovely view just min from the hotel. We will come back thank you !

I stayed at this resort on March 29 and was impressed by the lady at the front desk. She was super nice, professional, and provided excellent service. I’ve been to many hotels in the area, as well as several Marriott properties in different locations, but her hospitality stood out. Unfortunately, there was a city-wide power outage during my stay. However, the resort and staff handled the situation wonderfully. Despite the inconvenience, they remained friendly and accommodating, making the experience much better.

Beautiful view, nice clean rooms, and the service was excellent. Shout out to the person manning the front desk that night, she had to deal with lots of Hydro One workers checking in coming in to town to fix what the ice storm had damaged. Then she also had to deal with the phone calls, and then the needs of everybody else already in the hotel (like myself). She did it all with a smile and was very pleasant to deal with. I look forward to returning.

Yelp
We are spending a family Christmas Eve in Gravenhurst and booked this suite with a double room. Check-in was a breeze with full social distancing protocols in effect due to the surge of Omicrom variant worldwide. Front desk staff are friendly & professional. It's a very nice suite with a 4-seat dining table, office desk, sitting area for four, a fireplace (with a timer) and a full kitchen (refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, sink and cupboards). The fitness centre, swimming pool and whirlpool pool were open with proof of double Covid-19 vaccination. looked well maintained. A complimentary pre-selected breakfast was included; filled out order form by 9 p.m. the day prior. Pickup the meal yourself in the morning. It's back on the road again tomorrow!

Yelp
I'm giving this a 4.5/5. Very nice rooms. The staff, especially the breakfast staff, make this a great experience. Very comfortable room. Breakfast well stocked and fresh. Many choices. Large spacious rooms. Beautiful view of the lake. Our only complaint was the pull out couch was pretty uncomfortable. They should probably be replaced. Other than that everything was perfect!!

Yelp
My dad arranged for a family trip to cottage country so that we could see all the changing colours of the leaves. Once we finished our scenic tour, we checked in to the hotel that my dad reserved - Residence Inn. My mum is a Residence Inn groupie and loves this hotel chain so it was only appropriate for my dad to find one in Gravenhurst. My room had a great view of the lake. As the rooms are all suites, they are very spacious. I had a room with a sofa, queen sized bed, and kitchen all to myself. It was luxury! After lunch, I decided to go downstairs for a swim. The pool area is very bright with huge windows all over. There is also a whirlpool. The interior is super clean and modern with very friendly staff. Breakfast is included, which is always a bonus. Can't wait to go back! Good for: weekend getaways

Yelp
Great view, very clean room and facilities, and friendly/helpful staff! The Lakeview room is awesome - it has two Muskoka chairs on the balcony overlooking the lake. Mosquitoes can be a problem though, so make sure you keep your screen door closed. Stable wifi, free parking, a few restaurants nearby, a stretch of boardwalk were all awesome. The best part is that this place is pet friendly, and my dog had a really good time. There is a $100+tax pet fee per pet, per stay. The trail behind the hotel was shorter than I expected but nonetheless it was great. Breakfast is included and there's coffee and tea available in the lobby 24/7. The breakfast was mediocre at best - I expected a little more variety and quality given the price range of the rooms.

Beautiful hotel with professional friendly service. Thanks to Claudia for a smooth check in experience.

Yelp
Nice location, friendly staff, and nice view of the lake from the balcony. Would have preferred a higher floor but other rooms were full since it was Thanksgiving long weekend. Breakfast wasn't that great and Internet connection wasn't that great as well. Overall, I've enjoyed my stay here.

Yelp
Great location and big rooms in Gravenhurst. Nice hotel -- sizable with many rooms having balconies with lake views. Balconies have adirondack chairs to relax. Studio, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom suites. Suites have full kitchen, sizable bedroom, sink area separate from toilet/shower/tub. Our 1 bedroom king had 2 TVs - one in the bedroom and one in the living room. Hotel has an indoor pool, bbq you can use for grilling, and also a patio area to sit out. They do a full breakfast which is included in the rate and includes things such as: sausage, scrambled egg, potatoes, pancakes, make your own waffles, breads/bagels/tea biscuits, fruit salad, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal etc - juice, coffee and tea also available. They had a side bar with tea and coffee available all day. Walkable to the steamship dock for tours. Very comfortable and worth staying at. Great for families as the sofa in the suite is a pull out bed. Bedding was very comfortable and lots of pillows.

Yelp
We stayed here a week and loved this location. The hotel is relatively new and very well maintained. Nice rooms and amenities. It is situated in a very pretty area (near the lake) with a lot of activities within a short driving distance. There is also boat and canoe/kayak rentals right near their property (shares same parking lot) - and it is a lot of fun to spend time in the lake. Great location to stay at while in the area.

Yelp
We had a very large one bed suite with a full kitchen and living room area. Refrigerators have ice makers. Clean room. Nice layout. No alcohol for purchase on site, stop at the LCBO in town as needed. Between all the different chairs, our suite could sit seven people, making it easy for our group to gather in one room at the end of the night to catch up over a nightcap. Quiet location overall, very little noise from adjoining rooms. Easy to sleep in with dark out curtains that worked well. Very friendly staff, who went above and beyond, helping to search for a replacement computer cable for our function next door in an emergency, after the venue didn't have a necessary cable. Great location, right on the waterfront. It's maybe a three minute drive into the town. Adjacent to a boat rental facility and a public boat launch. It's just a very short walk down the boardwalk to a few restaurants. Walk down to Boston Pizza for an afternoon beer with pals, then go to Dock of the Bay for a steak dinner afterward. Both have outdoor seating on the water.

Yelp
What a wonderful spot for a winter vacation as well as a summer holiday. We arrived just about 1/2hr. after the snow had started to fall and it looked like a magical land when we pulled in to the parking lot. The staff at reception were very welcoming. They gave us a room on the top floor with a great view overlooking the bay. (I think that was in an effort to keep us away from the jr. hockey teams, two thumbs up!!) The rooms are clean and efficient. There is a perfect little kitchenette for longer stays. It has almost full size fridge, two elements for cooking, a microwave and a dishwasher. The fireplace made the evenings very cozy while we looked out over the frozen bay. An added touch of romance was when the whole area lost power for a short time and the fireplace was the only light we had. That and our glass of wine....perfect. The hotel is situated right next to the Discovery Center, there is a nice boardwalk to follow around the bay to the shops and restaurants on the opposite side. The complimentary breakfast was pretty extensive. I can't imagine anyone not finding something that would start their day off on a good note. There is a pool and a workout area but we didn't use either. The business area is very comfortable with big wingchairs, a large screen TV, a computer and a small assortment of books to enjoy. We are looking forward to returning in the summer for another mini holiday.

Yelp
It's beautiful here. Kitchen includes a stovetop and dishwasher! Very spacious with interesting decor. The view lakeside is stunning, the sun sets right over the water outside your window and you can enjoy it on the patio. Or, if you prefer, there is a gazebo you can walk to on the rock cut overlooking the water. It really is breathtaking. Breakfast seems to have a lot to offer, but the quality of the food leaves much to be desired, for this reason, I had to give 4/5 stars. The food was not on point.

Yelp
We came here for a wedding recently. This hotel is the only decent one in Gravenhurst as far as I am concerned, wouldn't even bother with any of the others. This hotel requires a minimum 2 night stay which can be quite pricey, especially if you take a room with 2 beds. The fact that the 2 bed suite is so expensive is unfortunate, so we took the 1 king bed suite with the pullout couch. The pullout couch was not very comfortable, and the king bed was sort of firm for my taste. Despite that, the hotel rooms have lovely decor and are very modern, and the balconies are quite large, even if you don't have a water view. The kitchen is nice and the appliances are modern, however the fridge can be noisy at times which is only a problem if you're sleeping on the pullout couch. Overall, the suites are comfortable and the beds might come down to a personal preference. The hotels amenities are superb. The complimentary breakfast is quite nice with standard options: eggs, sausage, pancakes, fruit, bagels, etc. The added waffle maker is a nice touch. The pool and hot tub are modern and clean, quite nice to swim in with good hours. The water in the pool could be a little bit warmer. They also have a nice outdoor patio area with a BBQ and a fire pit however we did not get to use those. The free WiFi is quite fast and reliable. This hotel shines with its location. It is located right in the Muskoka Wharf in short walking distance to all the gorgeous amenities on the waterfront including the historic steamships. Located right next door is the Muskoka Boat & Heritage Centre which is a fantastic museum with a very reasonable price. Downtown Gravenhurst is a very short drive away with all the amenities. Overall, the hotel is a very comfortable -if a bit pricey for what you get- facility with all the amenities someone visiting Muskoka would want.

Yelp
The rooms are nice. Very typical residence inn and decor. Nothing special. Housekeeping isn't great. One day instead of making the bed they just pulled the covers over the pillows, didn't empty the trash and didn't vacuum. Seemed like someone was pissed off that day..... The "mixers" are lame. Chips and salsa one night and the second was hot dogs. I've had better in multiple hotels. Since this is the only extended stay property around, I would think the hotel could do a little better. The breakfast is typical of a residence inn. The kitchen staff are very helpful and try really hard to keep up with demands of their guests. The views are wonderful no matter what your room choice is. You can walk to all the restaurants on the wharf so you have lots of choices around you. I would recommend this hotel. It's a great location with lots to do around the wharf. Free parking and wifi. Although the wifi can be a bit sketchy in the rain.

Yelp
Excellent experience. Hotel looks new and is very clean. Nice view of the waterfront. Employees and guest were all very nice. Should have a larger variety of breakfast selections. Overall thought they made my stay enjoyable. Will stay here again.

Yelp
Just spent 3 nights at this hotel. Very clean and comfortable. To top everything this hotel is very pet friendly making our stay even more memorable. The location is excellent as well as the setting. Rooms are updated and very comfortable. Would stay again! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Excellent location. Our room was with the lake view which was stunning. The staff here is fantastic, very friendly, pleasant and helpful. Consistent with other locations of this hotel chain. Breakfast is included but the scrambled eggs are made from boxed powdered stuff. Also there is no restaurant on site but the suites have a kitchen. Very clean and modern rooms. I love this place.
