Yelp
We came here for a wedding recently. This hotel is the only decent one in Gravenhurst as far as I am concerned, wouldn't even bother with any of the others. This hotel requires a minimum 2 night stay which can be quite pricey, especially if you take a room with 2 beds.
The fact that the 2 bed suite is so expensive is unfortunate, so we took the 1 king bed suite with the pullout couch. The pullout couch was not very comfortable, and the king bed was sort of firm for my taste. Despite that, the hotel rooms have lovely decor and are very modern, and the balconies are quite large, even if you don't have a water view. The kitchen is nice and the appliances are modern, however the fridge can be noisy at times which is only a problem if you're sleeping on the pullout couch. Overall, the suites are comfortable and the beds might come down to a personal preference.
The hotels amenities are superb. The complimentary breakfast is quite nice with standard options: eggs, sausage, pancakes, fruit, bagels, etc. The added waffle maker is a nice touch. The pool and hot tub are modern and clean, quite nice to swim in with good hours. The water in the pool could be a little bit warmer. They also have a nice outdoor patio area with a BBQ and a fire pit however we did not get to use those. The free WiFi is quite fast and reliable.
This hotel shines with its location. It is located right in the Muskoka Wharf in short walking distance to all the gorgeous amenities on the waterfront including the historic steamships. Located right next door is the Muskoka Boat & Heritage Centre which is a fantastic museum with a very reasonable price. Downtown Gravenhurst is a very short drive away with all the amenities.
Overall, the hotel is a very comfortable -if a bit pricey for what you get- facility with all the amenities someone visiting Muskoka would want.
