We absolutely love our stay here (2nd time). Each self-catering apartment is exceptionally well equipped with everything you could possibly need, making it feel like a true home away from home. The location is perfect — just a few minutes’ walk from the heart of Chamonix and literally steps from the Aiguille du Midi cable car. There’s also a small Carrefour supermarket conveniently located right across the road.||The spa facilities are amazing, and the pool is a wonderful bonus after a day out exploring. Everything is spotlessly clean, beds very comfy and the views are absolutely breathtaking — you could easily spend hours just soaking them in.||A special mention must go to the fantastic staff, especially Arnaud. He is by far the most polite, friendly, and helpful manager we’ve ever come across. Arnaud, thank you again for your patience with my terrible parking – you were incredibly understanding!||We travelled with a 4yrs old who’s not a very good walker and the team sourced us a buggy and it was already waiting for us in our apartment on arrival! No need to ask twice.. Fantastic :-) |For families considering visiting, there is plenty to do with the little ones in the area and this is a great base for exploring.||The only minor suggestion would be to improve the TV channel selection for English-speaking visitors, but honestly, that’s hardly worth mentioning when you have the stunning scenery right outside your window.||We already can’t wait to return — this place truly feels like home for us, only better :-) Highly recommend!

This is our second year at the Cristal de Jade during summer season in Chamonix, and it did not not disappoint. We have stayed in Chalet A each time, and it's been wonderful. Highlights are the rooms – generous, comfortable, and well-apportioned. Good closet space, and great bathrooms / en suites. (One caution for summertime visitors might be the road noise on the outward facing rooms. We had one of those last year. It didn't bother me so much, but I can see how it might be loud if one is sleeping with the windows open and sensitive to noise.) The kitchen has a full fridge and freezer, induction hob, and a combine oven/microwave oven. We cooked both quick meals like pizzas here, as well as hosted more involved full meals roasting local meat, cheese, and potatoes with wines. The terrace was absolutely stunning in the morning, with a view up to the Brevent side, to Brevent itself. The gym / sauna / pool facilities are wonderful. Clean and easily-accessible. The building is secure, and the staff very friendly. The hotel is both EV-friendly, with 3-pin charging points for overnight charging, and dog-friendly. The location is fantastic. Right in the middle of town. Near the Carrefour, the Mont Blanc side lift, and near all the restaurants and nightlife one could be looking for. I've had a really good time at this the Cristal de Jade, and look forward to returning again – and checking out MGM's other properties in Les Houches and beyond.. Many thanks all.

If you book a room that does not state garden view, it may well be directly facing busy highway. If the weather is hot, and since the rooms do not have aircon, your choice is either a hot or noisy night. This is something the hotel should be more forthcoming. How about installing aircon to the highway facing units? MGM is otherwise a fine property with many positives.

My family of 5 just had an excellent stay at this property. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 7 days and it worked perfectly for our family. When we travel, having a kitchen is a must and the kitchen at the Cristal Jade was well appointed and had all the essentials to cook throughout our visit. The staff are wonderful and were very attentive to our kids. We made good use of the pool, hot tubs and sauna throughout. Location was very convenient to all the restaurants and bus stops throughout town. High recommend this property for a family stay!

We were greeted warmly by Arnoud when we arrived and shown to our apartment B03 which was very pretty, cosy and lovely and clean. We really loved the location of the Le Cristal de Jade as it's not in the centre of Chamonix so quieter, the pool area was gorgeous and the gym was great, and we initially loved the apartment. ||However, the apartments are clearly NOT soundproofed. We were kept awake every single night that we were in B03 which was 5 awful nights. We raised the issue multiple times with Reception (Arnoud, Joanna, Fanny Sherpa and also the Director) asking if we could please move rooms. They said nothing was available and that they would talk to the people in the apartments above us. If they did talk to them it changed absolutely nothing.||On Thursday I lost a day of our holiday as I didn't go out all day as I was utterly exhausted. I'd had about 2 hours sleep during the previous night. People were banging doors and making loads of noise all night long and it was almost impossible to catch up on sleep during the day (when I'd hoped everyone would be out) as it was still really noisy. I was so distressed and so tired by then I ended up in Reception in floods of tears telling them how awful it'd been and that I couldn't even catch up on sleep during the day as it was still so noisy. I had a real meltdown as the whole thing felt unbearable and a real waste of £2000 for the week's accommodation. I was told the manager would deal with it when she came in at 2pm. ||We were finally moved that evening to the 2nd floor. Grateful as I was to be leaving B03 the 2nd floor apartment was still really noisy but not as bad during the night. We had 2 nights there of a 7 night stay and I got some sleep but it was still broken sleep by people coming and going all night. ||The manager even acknowledged during a conversation with my husband that the apartments are known to have an issue with noise! If they know that then they should do something about it. The floors are clearly incredibly thin. Also they have tiled floors in all the apartment kitchens and sitting rooms. This means every single time you move a dining chair or the coffee table it scrapes really noisily across the floor and you can hear this from all the other apartments, especially from above. A simple solution would be to put sticky soft furniture pads on the feet of the chairs and tables so that the abrasion between the two surfaces was at least minimised. ||We were regularly woken up by people arriving at the hotel all night long - and I mean all night long from midnight until 6am. You can hear the constant footfall back and forth from above because of the thin floors. The apartment entrance doors and patio doors are heavy and either slam shut or roll shut very loudly. ||We both had broken sleep every night (Wednesday night I was woken up over 8 times - I lost count after that) and my husband was waking up too, and he's deaf in one ear so that shows how noisy it was. We were opposite the lifts so that didn't help.||I have never stayed anywhere that was this noisy, and it was really unexpected, especially in a relatively expensive, 5 star place outside of the town centre. I've also never stayed anywhere that so little was done by the staff to help resolve an issue. It seemed the only motivation for them to help was me sobbing my heart out in Reception in public! My 2 star rating is based on the dreadful noise situation.

We spent a week here over new year 23-24. Hotel lovely and clean, very cosy rooms with all the amenities we could have asked for. Kitchen well equipped. Good ski store with own lockers and boot warmers etc. Nice pool area. Helpful staff. We were upgraded from 1 bedroom to 2 bedroom apartment which was ideal as meant kids had a bedroom rather than sleeping in the lounge. We were also able to check out at lunchtime which was good as our transfer was at dinner time. Good location next to ADM cable car, not too far to walk to bus stops or supermarkets. Only thing I was disappointed about was the bar didn’t serve Vin Chaud!

We stayed here with two children and were upgraded to a bigger apartment. It was lovely and clean with lots of cutlery and crockery. The pool and spa were very much used especially the kids pool. The hotel’s location cannot be faulted, near to ADM and an easy walk to shops and restaurants. Highly recommended this hotel.
