Residence U Černé věže

Older apartment which is slightly falling apart. The location is brilliant though and the staff is very pleasant and happy to help. Overall, I do recommend for anyone who is not looking for anything super luxurious. They are pet friendly too!

Right next to the city center, very convenient. It has a very good restaurant, really. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, did the job. The rooms are essentially old apartments converted into hotel rooms. You get a separate bedroom with a closet, a kitchen with a living room, also a foyer. The parking right next to the hotel for checking in is a bit of a hit or miss. There's one parking space available temporarily for guests for a couple of minutes to check in, but it's also public, so you might not be able to use it. The "official" parking for the hotel is blocks away, about 5 minutes by car in a parking garage (of another hotel). Take this into account when dealing with luggage.

This was our first time in České Budějovice and this place was perfect! Central location, close to everything and easy to find. Reception is really friendly and helpful, the rooms were very large and affordable. The kitchenette was well equipped and the beds were very comfy. We definitely want to come back to České Budějovice and we will stay here again!

I strongly do not recommend this establishment. One of my worst experiences in terms of accommodation. The rooms overlook an interior courtyard which amplifies every sound. Impossible to sleep all night especially when party people are around.

The room was out of my expectation big and clean, including laundry and kitchen, customers service friendly and helpful. Location very convenient to go anywhere for people who are visiting this city.

I really liked this place. The apartment was spacious and probably the biggest place we stayed at on our two week trip to Europe. The room was clean, the bathroom was big and the beds were comfortable. They also have a nice breakfast that is included in the price. If and when I am back in české Budějovice I will most certainly be staying here. I would recommend to anyone. The only drawback is there is no parking and it is even quite tough to find parking to unload your luggage because it is on such a narrow small and busy street.

Plus points : central location, spacious accommodation. Minus points: Decoration totally lacking in personality. Had to clean the wardrobe before installing clothes. Kitchen equipment incomplete. No air conditioning or fan with temperatures above 30°C. Breakfast included in rather sad adjoining restaurant but of limited choice because of the number of guests. Of the 4 hotels we stayed in during our tour of the Czech Republic it was the least agreable... and not the least expensive.

Our group thoroughly recommends a stay at the Residence - the staff were extremely helpful and the rooms were really comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good as well and the overall cost of our stay was very reasonably priced. we will definitely come back there again next year! everybody was extremely friendly and they spoke good English which was helpful to us. the location of the Residence is very close to the main square and so is perfectly located for bars, restaurants and other places of interest.
