From the outside it doesn't look like much, but the rooms are good, quiet and everything is spotless. The staff was friendly and professional. The breakfast was buffet style and excellent. The location is great, and offers free parking on location. Excellent hotel for 2-3 nights. Highly recommended.

Mispelled hotel name, It is Dom Dinis. Easy to drive to location with free parking in back of hotel. Nice well-maintained older building with grand breakfast room, clean rooms, and excellent location in immediate sight of village medieval wall gate. I was in room 101. Quiet location at night when any day tourists clear our. Easily a 3 star hotel operated by nice owners. This is not a just a touristy village, there are numerous small stores that cater to day-to-day needs of the people that live there. The castle (closed Mondays) is just about 2 blocks away. It is fun to walk around a relatively flat village. Hotel office and large breakfast room on 2nd floor, rooms on 3rd floor. No elevator. Also visit nearby Marialva castle to the northeast. Included breakfast had breads, ham, cheese, jellies, fruit, etc. Great value for the money.

We stayed for one night only and were pleasantly surprised. The room was very big and clean, good bed and bathroom, reception spoke English and breakfast was huge. The price for all this was €30 only for a double room with breakfast. It is also well located, next to the gate into the old town and the hotel has its own parking. What more could we want?

Excellent breakfast. Safe parking - just outside the town walls; easy to find next to the Post Office. Friendly. Guests lounge and a large bar (a bit bleak). Good value, clean and comfortable. No evening meals.

The hotel is very easy to find right by the castle wall entrance perfect for wandering round the old town. The room was cold but we were brought two heaters the weather was exceptionally cold and wet but it soon warmed up the WiFi was. Very good the staff were lovely the breakfast had everything on it you could want !

Tranquil Trancoso (apart for the pleasant contrast - for me - of the heavy metal classics in a bar in the main square). A real bijou walled town in the Beiras. This wee guesthouse is perfectly located just outside the walls. Handy for everything, including buses. The owners are a wee bit strait-laced, but pleasant folks. Clean, adequate room, reasonably priced. A very good choice for a stopover en route north or south.

It is next to Post Office and not above as our guide book says Unpretentious rooms and we liked it Very helpful and nice lady running it Room basic but clean and functional Breakfast very good There is also a bar which is run sporadically but you can always find someone to serve you Functional but we enjoyed it
