We arrived at the hostel at 8am after a 18hrs bus ride from Guayaquil. The owner greated us straight away, gave us a lot of usefull information with a big smile, super happy, funny and friendly. We even could have the free breaky for that morning, which consist of 2eggs pp, bread rolls, a juice and tea or instant coffee. |We were given room on the 3rd floor: super quiet, full bathroom just across which we had to share with the other dbl room on that floor. Wifi was great anywhere in the hostel. Bed super comfy with a nice duvet.|The only downpoint we found was the water pressure in shower (at least the one on 3rd floor), pretty inexistant...|

Very good hostel 4 blocks from plaza de armas, felt save, taxi suggested after dark. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave us right during the check-in a lot of information about the city and the region. Our double room was very clean, mattress and blanket were great! The shared bathroom was clean and the hot water, towels provided, just great! Interior was nice, breakfast was basic but ok. Overall, good value for money! Would definitely come again and recommend it!

I was here for 3 nights and the atmosphere was very much of home. True to their description, I felt very comfortable and "tranquilo". The 5 bed dorm room I was in was equipped with a fan(non-oscillating) and windows so the nights were not that balmy. But I really enjoyed the company of the people on site. Everyone spoke a degree of English which makes communication easier for myself especially during breakfast where, Maria the owner joins you since it is her family home. Nancy the daytime receptionist wakes up early to set up a simple breakfast of bread, juice and eggs which you have to cook to your liking. Bruno, the night time receptionist speaks very good English and he can help you with any questions you may have. During the daytime he doubles as a tour guide for the ruins surrounding Trujillo for a nominal fee. All and all I really enjoyed staying here, it was like staying with family members.

A very warm welcome by the owner of the hostel. She is very polite and informative. I must say that the breakfast is outstanding! Fruit juice, bread, butter, toasts , jelly, tea, coffee, milk and 2 eggs that you can prepare in that moment in the way you want or keep them in the refrigerator to eat them later. Free kitchen with anything you need.||Something that I could suggest to the owner is to supervise frequently the workers in charge of cleaning, because some spider weds were found in the corners, the kitchen equipment was greasy and the bathrooms weren´t clean promptly, the guests have to ask the owner the cleanliness of the bathrooms because it was offered to be made every 3 days but the workers only emptied the toilette garbage deposits.

Located in the historic center only two blocks from the main-street and likewise only two blocks for the colectivos to Chan Chan (felt secure day and night). All rooms (incl. baths) are clean. There's hot-water in the shared bath, but rather weak water-pressur. There's enough baths for all rooms. Bed in the privat double was comfy and towels provided, but no locker, but your own key. The breakfast was good and big (coffee or tee or juce, bread, jam, butter, cheese, two eggs per person to prepare yourself). Wifi was average to ok speed and stable. We didn't get bothered from the street- nor the club-noise next door. The best part is the staff who goes far and beyond to help you with anything you might need! Good place for the money.

When we first arrived the lady who owns the hostel gave us a warm welcome and lots of info about the town, she gave maps and even recommended places in huanchaco, the beach town we re heading to next. The rooms were clean, good showers and breakfast of bread and eggs. Would recommend as it was nice and quiet and in a great location!

We really enjoyed our short stay here. The very friendly owner recognised us from 5 years ago when we stayed here on a couple of occasions. There had been some improvements to the property - a patio with plants swingseat and chairs by the entrance. We stayed in a comfortable, warm room with a bathroom next door. There was plenty of hot water in the shower too. The breakfast was good with fresh eggs and bread. The kitchen is perfect if you want to cook which we didn't do this time due to our short stay - (we wanted to visit our favourite restaurant for dinner). I can definitely recommend you stay here - very good value for money and very central location.

This hostel is located within a family home within walking distance from plaza del Armas. The breakfast is self service but offers delicious eggs and coffee. Nancy was very helpful when we checked in and provided us with useful information about Huacas del sol y Luna and chan chan ruins. The only thing I would say is that there were times when I felt like the guests presence was a slight inconvenience to the family I.e. when using the kitchen.
