This is a great find in Valença! We enjoyed exploring the fort and history of the town. The location is inside the fort making it easy to get to after a long day of walking the Camino and also to walk to cafes and shops. Check in was seamless, the room was big enough and clean. Plenty of windows to let in the cool breeze. Highly recommend for pilgrims and travelers coming through Valença.

Stayed two night's returning from Porto Portugal. Had a very nice room on the top floor. This is a very detailed boutique hotel. The hotel is located within Fortaleza. Shopping and many restaurants nearby. My room was spotless. Nice towels and the bed was fantastic. Very quiet location. Great value and very nice host. Two large grocery stores within walking distance. On Wednesday's there's a very large open market also within walking distance.

Very good place to stay if you want rest after a busy day. The room had the views towards the river and fortifications. In the morning was visible how the clouds stopped on the top of the mountain. On the day I have stayed was very cloudy. I think the room would have incredible views in the morning golden hours when the weather is better. The place does not serve breakfast but free coffee is available on the ground floor. I have attached a view from the window in a room 9.

I really enjoyed my stay here Room and bathroom were nice and comfortable and clean I was lucky to have a room with a balcony facing the street, view was incredible Owner very kind Perfect for pilgrims as to check out you just drop your key on the front desk. This was perfect as we left very early in the morning Television in rooms However no complimentary toiletries (soap or shower gel) this wasn’t an issue for me but something others might like to know Overall this place made me enjoy my stay in Valença thank you

Stay for 1 night on our Camino Portuguese.||||The hotel is right in the old town - a hive of activity until 7.00pm when the last of the tourist buses leave - then old town resembles ghost town.||||The rooms are small but with heaps of light from large windows that overlook parts of the old town. There is no elevator but only 3 sets of stairs so is manageable. ||Rooms are very modern and very clean. There is a modern private bathroom but no bathtub. The rooms are sparkling clean. ||There is only local TV. ||The rooms are very quiet and good for a well earned rest.||Reception is located on the 1st floor and handle all checkin and questions in English.||||There are bars and restaurants close by but be prepared, with the exception of 2 or 3 reasonably upmarket and expensive ones, all others close and do not serve evening meals.||||During the day, Valenca is a delight to explore with its old walls and fort. This hotel is perfectly place for this experience. Well recommended for the Camino walk.

This is a gem of a hotel, tucked away just inside the old city walls. It is accessed through a glass door and stairs from the cobbled street, though you may need to walk a few meters to a shop No 11, to get info. A notice will explain on the door. ||We arrived early in Valenca after five days on the Camino de Portuguese and decided Spain could wait another day, so glad we did. The hotel is compact but so well designed and spotlessly clean, we had a smaller windows than some of the rooms, but nice view of city walls and scenery beyond. A few steps onto the old fortifications provides stunning views of the river. ||The area around the hotel consists of narrow cobbled streets, small shops, restaurants, cafes and bars, providing ample distractions. We fancied an Italian meal so a short 10 minute walk, outside the old fort, took us to Casa Di Mama; highly recommend.

Located in the heart of the old town this hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. Everything you need is steps away. There is no lift, but if you’re walking the Camino, that should be no problem. Great value.
