We loved this guesthouse! Very well located, a short 10-15 minute walk to the central plaza. The area felt very safe and was pleasant to walk around at night. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. The owners were really friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast for Argentinian standards with gorgeous fresh warm medialunas and fresh bread rolls, also toast, yoghurt and fruit salad (a rarity in budget places). The room was clean and comfortable with a ceiling fan. Shared bathroom clean with a powerful hot shower. All in all excellent value in Salta, would stay again!

Excellent stay, close to Bus terminal, clean and comfortable rooms, large shared toilet and always clean. The owner Heitor is such nice to provide information and even on our early arrival we got breakfast. The lady who does the cleaning is another such lovely person and always helpful. The guy in the reception is also and Mrs. Irmã, gave us good advice as well. They are all lovely and you can always trust. We left our luggage on the last day. Breakfast is also good! It’s a good value for money.

This is a perfectly decent place to stay. Our double room was quite basic, but comfortable, with a good bed, good shower and wifi that worked. It's a family run place and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is off street parking, if you have a car - it was great to be able to leave our rental car parked off the street for once! Breakfast was above for Argentina - local yoghurt, fresh fruit, bread and pastries. Location is a few blocks' walk from the main square. The normal prices looked quite high (600-700 pesos for the room we were in!) but we got the room for 420 since it's low season - bargain! Would recommend, especially at that price.

Walked into this B&B on the day. The guy at reception (possibly the owner?) was very helpful and kind, and even spoke a bit of English which helped a lot considering our limited command of Spanish. ||We got a good deal on a double ensuite room (about £20). Breakfast was a bit limited, but available very early while we had to get an early bus.||The place is not modern but it was clean and comfortable. It's a while ago now but I think this place was 10-15 mins walk from the center, 10 mins from the bus station and the neighborhood felt safe.

Enjoyed an excellent 2 night stay at El Hogar. Room was basic, but clean and comfortable, with good wifi and breakfast. Well located in a quiet neighbourhood, with an easy walk into town. The real star, however, is the owner, Hector, who was the ultimate host, from letting us in at 3am after our bus was delayed, recommending restaurants, and making a big effort to speak English with us. Warm welcome guaranteed!

El Hogar is located a few blocks away from the main square and next to san bernardo hill, with free parking on the street. The hosts were friendly, we felt welcome and had a good chat with them.|The room was a bit small but bedding/matress were very comfortable. The bathroom was shared but large and clean.|Breakfast was comprehensive with orange juice, wide selection of bread and pastries.

Simple, clean accommodation and basic breakfast in a friendly family home, well located for the centre of town. Hector was a welcoming host and though the accommodation is fairly basic it’s a good place to stay, particularly if you need to catch an early bus.

Hector is an excellent host, he recommended places for us to visit, gave us info about laundrette, banks etc.. (in english and spanish) We were also able to leave our luggage there the day we checked out and pick it up later when we got our flight. The other staff are also very friendly and are happy to help with anything you need, such as ordering us a taxi to airport. The room was clean, bed comfortable and quiet at night so you can get a proper nights sleep. The shared bathroom was always clean and usually available. The breakfast was very good, we paid the extra $5 for it each as wasn't included in our room but it is definitely worth it. It is about a 10 minute walk from main square which we preferred as it was more peaceful, short walk to cable car, bus station 10 minute walk and there are bars/ restaurants nearby you can visit which aren't so touristy. Would recommend staying here!
