Residenza B, Trevi, Rome, Italy - Explore & Book

"Residenza B is your own super stylish pied-a-terre complete with waving palms in Rome’s historic heart. The immaculate interiors of this architect-renovated 19th-century property are the kind you’d admire in a glossy magazine. Bouquets of freshly cut flowers add blushes of colour to the public areas, and bespoke design meets understated elegance from the breakfast room to the travertine bathrooms. Its quartet of light and airy rooms share views over the manicured garden of Italy’s national gallery, allowing flights of fancy that you're staying in Palazzo Barberini itself. With years of experience in hospitality, Veronica and Camillo Barluzzi are warm and welcoming hosts whose many talents include comprehensive intel on the best local cacio e pepe in exactly the ambiance that you're looking for. You're centrally placed: palazzos, the Pantheon and papal enclaves are but a stroll away. Despite being embedded between several chic central districts, the soundproofing in the rooms ensures a sense of serenity when you’re recharging your batteries ahead of your next Roman adventure. Highs The location is brilliant, with the Trevi Fountain, the Teatro dell’Opera, Termini station and much more within easy walking distance The service is discreet yet attentive. For example, if you need to swap out the goose down for hypoallergenic bedding, consider it done. House manager Fabio can also procure private tour guides, chauffeur-driven trips, and deliver perfetto espresso Rooms with a view: the tranquil outlook over Palazzo Barberini's gardens is a rare treat in the city centre Breakfast is a real highlight - what a spread! Lows As this is a B&B, the management aren't on-site around the clock, but they're easily contactable It's a premium price in high season Only four rooms, so book ahead for popular times of year You'll need to venture out for other meals Only kids over 12 permitted to preserve the relaxed atmosphere" - Handpicked by our hotel experts

"Residenza B’s name isn’t just making a claim about the small size of the place, but about its atmosphere as well — this discreet little four-room bolthole is nothing if not residential in aspect. And a remarkably stylish little residence it is, as well. Here architect Stefano Dorata has turned a 19th-century building into something quite modern — which, in Rome, means there are plenty of echoes of the past, in the form of classic travertine marble in the bathrooms as well as vintage and retro-inspired furniture alongside modernist classics and contemporary Italian-designed pieces." - Tablet Hotels

We absolutely loved Residenza B and would definitely stay again if we return to Rome. ||The property is in an excellent location, and the area is very quiet and safe. ||Future guests should understand that this is not a typical hotel property, rather a small B & B, with only four rooms. When we arrived the doorbell wasn’t working so we had a little delay getting in, but once I called on the phone, we were immediately buzzed in and Fabio met us at the door. We went up to the second floor and into the entrance for the accommodations. Fabio got us some water and then showed us our spacious room, which overlooks a nice garden. ||The bathroom was on the smaller side but there was plenty of shelving space for storage, and they had washcloths which was a bonus! ||The bed was comfy, and we had a nice assortment of complimentary beverages and snacks in the mini fridge area. ||Residenza B is well decorated and exceptionally clean. Housekeeping did a great job the two nights we stayed. ||There is a sitting area upon entering, with tons of guide books, and a small room used for breakfast in the morning. The food was terrific, with many things to choose from.||Fabio was such a big help to us and he made our visit extra special- he even got breakfast ready for us earlier than usual when we had a timing issue with a tour. Communication with the owners/ management was very responsive, too. Because this isn’t a hotel, you won’t often see the employees, except when you arrive, at breakfast, checkout, or if anything is needed. ||Our experience was so pleasant and we wished we had booked here for our second leg of staying in Rome. We will gladly recommend it to friends who plan to travel here.

While touring Italy, this was THE favorite of my husband and I by far of the places we stayed. Gorgeous decorating, delicious breakfast. A well stocked mini bar/fridge. Impeccably clean. The bed and pillows were a dream, and coming from an American, the A/C WAS AMAZING. Entering the residence is a pleasure and gives an authentic feel to your visit to Rome. Well located, not too busy, delicious coffee down the street. We did hear what I think was a train (?) fairly regularly, but it did not effect our sleep at all. We were personally greeted upon arrival and given our keys. The handshake and smile was a wonderful way to begin our stay. Rome’s hidden gem!!

We stayed a total of six nights at Residenza B and enjoyed it immensely! Very well run. In a nice location. Within walking distance of the National Gallery and shopping. This is not a traditional hotel with a concierge and 24/7 desk staff but we did not miss it. We had several tours that required us to leave before breakfast but Fabio was kind enough to make us coffee and give us a pastry at 7:00 AM!! We never opened the complimentary bottle of wine so we brought it home and had it last night with dinner! It brought back some wonderful memories!! Thank you!!!!

I stayed at Residenza B in Rome with my mother and we had a wonderful experience. Everything was impeccable. The place is beautifully maintained, clean, and very comfortable. Camilo, our host, was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, always ready with great recommendations—from fantastic local restaurants to lesser-known attractions that gave us a more authentic Roman experience. And the breakfast… simply amazing! Definitely not to be missed. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for a quiet retreat, this is a true hidden gem in the midst of busy Rome, with easy access on foot or by taxi to anywhere you want to go. While it isn't really a "hotel," it's one of the nicest B&Bs we've stayed in anywhere in Europe. With only four rooms, it feels intimate and welcoming. Although Veronica is not on-site at all hours, she is easily contacted and very responsive. We experienced this when our flight was 8 hours late. There was Veronica, waiting for us at 11:00pm. ||Our room was large and very comfortable, light and airy, with a view of a garden in the middle of the block. And it was Quiet!||The breakfast in the small dining area was fresh and delicious, with a variety of choices.||Residenza B is a great choice and worth the expense.

We booked Residenza B through our travel agent and I’m so glad we chose this place! Veronica and Camillo were the most wonderful hosts, so welcoming and accommodating. The complimentary transfer from the airport was perfect and made our first day in Rome so easy. This is probably the cleanest place I have ever stayed, including any 5 star resort, the room was beautiful. The included breakfast every morning was the highlight - just to die for, I’ll dream of the fresh squeezed orange juice until our next visit.

Our stay at Residenza B was phenomenal, Veronica and Camillo were wonderful hosts. The hotel is beautifully designed and decorated, and the rooms have everything you need. There were always snacks in the common room and the breakfast was delicious, one of the best breakfasts we had in Italy. The location is within a 10-20 minute walk to the most popular sights. We highly recommend Residenza B when staying in Rome.
