Residenza Kastrum

We loved this place because of its great location in the Castello district of old Cagliari. We loved the narrow streets and hilly walkways. The proximity to the seafront. The lovely roof garden from which to enjoy the sunsets while the evening church bells rang. A small downside was the complimentary breakfast three blocks away though represented as an “adjacent “ location. Also Roberta, the young woman who manages the unit is fixated on What’s App as a sole means of communication and requires uploading passport photos to that site. She did wind up meeting us at the apartment and helping us access the front door key box, elevator password and other security firewalls. A great place to stay..

My husband and I stayed here with 6 friends, there are only 4 rooms and 1 suite so we pretty much had the accommodations to ourselves.||We were impressed with the rooms, the breakfast is basic but enough. The rooms were cleaned each day and the bed made up daily. The accommodation was comfortable and a bit quirky. Room 4 is the biggest, Room 3 has extra storage, Room 2 was the smallest, Room 1 medium sized.||What makes this accommodation special is the roof terrace. As 8 friends we would meet up here in the morning, in the afternoon for a few drinks and in the evening for pre and post meal drinks. The views are amazing as this accommodation is right at the top of the hill. There are a couple of the tourist lifts within a few minutes walk so you don't need to climb the steps or walk up the sloping roads too far. There are also buses that can get you within 5 minutes walk of the property.||Roberta was amazing and was quick to respond to any issues we had (very minor, that were quickly remedied). She also arranged a minibus transfer for us.||There are a few restaurants in the area, but a 10 minute walk gets you to more. The roads are very narrow in the Castello area, only cars sporadically using the roads, so the area is very quiet. Having walked around Cagliari for 4 days I can say that this location is probably the best one to stay in.||We were all very impressed with Residenza Kastrum and would not hesitate to stay here again if we ever return to Cagliari

Very rustic, a wonderful roof terrace with views over the city, it is on the top of a very steep hill, so beware of that if your mobility is not the best. Breakfast (a coffee and a croissant) is at the cafe at the bottom of the street (about 5mins away).

If you are looking for a romantic getaway, Residenza Kastrum suite is the place to go! The host was incredibly attentive and had set up the suite very beautifully! She took time to explain everything and was very helpful and easy to contact. The suite has breathtaking views of Cagliari with a private entrance to the terrace from the suite and the whole place is set up with antique style furniture and gorgeous bathroom giving you a luxury feel with all modern amenities like an air conditioner, smart TV and of course a coffee machine! The place is suitated in the main castle area and is a wonderful location to explore. We had a very relaxing and wonderful time here and would definitely come again. Very much recommend it to everyone to stay here!!

We really enjoyed our stay in this atmospheric old building on one of the narrow streets in the castle district, the most interesting part of Cagliari. (It requires a longish walk or taxi to get to the main part of the city below, but I think it's worth it.) Our room was very comfortable, with good air conditioning and a mini fridge. The included small breakfast (coffee and pastry) can be had at a nice cafe in the pretty square about a block away.||||For me the two best things about the Residenza Kastrum were the comfortable rooftop terrace, with great views, and the manager Roberta, who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She was immediately responsive to text messages, both before and during our visit, and provided a lot of helpful information. Her warmth and friendliness were very appreciated.

the hotel was excellent in a perfect location. we left with a baby, the room was very clean. the staff is very friendly. breakfast is in an excellent restaurant. I hope we will come back again. Best regards Sajra.

The location is amazing as it is close to the many sightseeing sites and you can have an incredible panoramic view from the roof top of the place (where you could also have breakfast of just sit there to enjoy the view). The room was very clean, comfortable and very spacious. Breakfast was included and it was also very nice, gluten free food was provided for my husband who is coeliac, and he was very pleased with the options. The staff members were extremely friendly, polite and helpful! Definitely the perfect place to stay for a very good price.

Charming Rooftop terrace w spectacular views. Comfortable rooms w aircon, neat and clean. Great location. Very kind and helpful staff. Don’t miss their appetizers offer w local specialities at the Rooftop terrace. Parking is outside the citywall, but close enough. Your host will explain to you in details where to park if you ask. |
