The good: Location was great, self check-in was easy, the room was comfortable with a nice bed, sofa bed, and good bathroom. Everything was also very clean. Breakfast was much-appreciated since it was included for free. The not-so good: We were there in June; it was hot, though thankfully not yet the peak of summer. The AC in our quad room didn't work and the sitting room/lobby was equally stuffy. The thermostat appeared to be set correctly and had power (see pic attached), but no air was blowing and it was very uncomfortable in our room. We wouldn't have been able to sleep in that temp; thankfully they'd provided a fan and the windows actually opened. It was only because the weather cooled off enough in the evening that we were able to get any sleep; however, leaving the windows open meant that we also had to accept light and some street noise coming in.|| When you check in (allowed from 3pm), there is no one working at the hotel desk, so you are unable to contact anyone to report problems. I tried calling the main number and only got voicemail (I left a message, which was not returned). You are given a number to be used only in case of emergency, and this situation wasn't quite that, so I didn't call. Had the window fan not been sufficient, though, we would have either had to call the emergency line or else found a different place to stay for the night. We booked through Expedia, and there also was no way to report a problem to them, either. Everything else about the stay was nice, but if you can't reach anyone at the hotel and you have an issue, it is a real dealbreaker. I wouldn't stay here again in the summer. We'd chosen this place specifically because it claimed to have air conditioning.

An incredibly comfortable place with an exceptionally helpful, kind and welcoming host. The rooms are very well equipped and comfortable. The bed gave me the best nights sleep in years. The location simply cannot be better, you're 1 minutes walk from the main piazza but on just enough of a side-street that you're not affected by outside noise. Checking in is a little surreal, luckily, you're sent a lot of mails before arriving at the hotel, each with very well written and clear instructions, in my case I went to floor 1 and was supposed to go to floor 3 - My error and not the fault of the hotel, having said this, a quick call to the hotels emergency number resulted in my error being identified - and resolved, in less than 60 seconds. A genuinely lovely place. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Trieste.

Amazing location, and everything you actually need for a short break in Trieste. Kitchen facilities were great for breakfast, room was clean and large, bathroom was excellent.||The parking option they sent us too was also good - Trieste can be a bit overwhelming to drive in and park, so this sorted all of our issues out!

We stayed at Residenza Le 6 over the weekend for one night. It's very easy to find, near the main square. The stuff was outstanding and very helpful. We got very ry good tips how to get around to different places. Thank you

Our experience at Residenza le 6A was perfect. It was definitely a new experience for us. Arriving to the apartment and there was no one to greet us. We followed the simple instructions and easily accessed our room. The room was very clean! The building is very quiet. The room was a nice size. The fresh squeezed juice that was left for us mixed very well with our tequila :) They also left eggs and other items if you wanted to prepare breakfast in the morning. They also prepared fresh pastries for the guest in the morning. || It is centrally located so we were easily able to walk to local restaurants and stores. We only stay one night because we were departing on a cruise the next day. The apartment is close to the pier, so we walked. Overall. it was a nice stay. The only negative I have is we like to sleep in a cool room. We were not able to adjust the air conditioning to our temperature liking. Fortunately, it was not a hot night, and the room was doable.

This is not a hotel. It’s a B&B. Paid £287/over €300 for 2 nights. It’s not worth that amount. ||Cons - not enough plug sockets in room. One socket coming away from the wall. |- breakfast is cold & limited. |- same floor as a tattooist. |- shower curtain has to be carefully positioned or water runs into the bathroom. |- coming home in the evening all the lights are off, whilst there’s facilities such as a living room & shared garden we felt uncomfortable using them at the end of the day. ||Pros - great location|- nice women on the desk when we arrived.|- rooms are spacious.|- interesting & historical building with an old fashion lift.||It’s not worth the amount I paid in comparison to prices of other hotels in the area.

We stayed in Residenza la 6a for 3 nights and my family of five were very comfortable in two rooms. The simple breakfast was a nice start to the day. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The location on a pedestrian street is in an excellent area and it was so easy to walk to many of the local sites, restaurants and water. We were also close to a couple of bus stop which made it easy to reach the Residenza la 6a from the train station with our luggage. We also left for the cruise ship from another bus stop just a few steps away and that was quite simple as well. We enjoyed our stay in Trieste very much and Residenza la 6a was certainly part of that!

The Ordinary Punter really liked this place - book it direct with the owner, not via a booking website, It's not a hotel, not a b&b, but your residence in Trieste city centre. The name of "Le 6 A" residence is a tribute to Italo Svevo and to the women from Trieste, who are traditionally held as beautiful, free-minded, caring and strong-willed, just like the women characters in Svevo's novels. Each room is dedicated to one of them. It's really good - large rooms, en-suite bathroom, wooden floor, kitchenette, tv-set and wi-fi. Go for it!
