My family of 4 stayed here in December for 3 nights. Prior to arriving, Alessandra & Barbara helped us with some restaurant recommendations for Christmas and arranging a van from the airport. Upon arrival, Gianluca graciously welcomed us. We had 2 rooms on the first floor (Elena & Bianca). We loved the cozy feel of this floor with the antique furnishings. Both rooms had ensuite bathrooms. There was a common area and a small kitchen, that was nice for making a cup of tea. Gianluca also arranged for a quick breakfast of pastries and fruit to be delivered to the kitchen on a morning that we had an early tour booked. The location was outstanding for walking to major sites. The Colosseum and The Forum are very close. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, too. The included breakfast was right next door, and offerings included pastries, meats and cheese, yogurt, fruit, and more. This property definitely is more like a bed and breakfast (not a giant chain hotel), with lovely owners and staff. I would stay here again!

This was our first we experience the down home feeling so we selected this location. The view from my room of the forum was awesome! Even though there’s a lot of construction going on in Rome, it was still OK||Our room was quaint. Unfortunately, I was so excited to be there that I didn’t take a picture of the room or the bathroom . The bed was very comfortable. Water was hot in the bathroom. Everything was great. When we arrived, Pierre showed us around, took us to the Terrace on the roof and showed us the kitchen area on our fourth floor. He also marked a map with things to see and some of his favorite places and restaurants for us to try. We stayed in the Ines room.||My husband had breakfast I’m not a morning person so I didn’t go down and he said it was great ||We slept very soundly, not disturbed by any other guest and there was guests in rooms all around us so I did not find any issue with sound. Except maybe the seagulls that go off all night lol ||We walked so much as everything is close. Even though. Looking at a map places might look far when you just start walking. You’re there within 15 to 20 minutes. We walked to the Spanish steps to the Trevi fountain and to Piazza Navona. And not intentionally we walked home from Saint Peter‘s basilica lol on Christmas Day.||Gianluca, Pierre and Alessandra all made sure our stay was perfect. Highly recommend Residenza Maritti!

The location of this guest house is incredible. Situated directly behind the Imperial Forums and a short walk to the Colosseum and the heart of the Monti district. The glimpse of the back of the Forum of Augustus out our window was pretty cool. The staff were also very nice and welcoming. I also enjoyed the terrace offering amazing views. However, our room was very disappointing. Paper thin walls offering no privacy. You could hear every word from the adjacent room even when speaking in a normal voice. In the bathroom, the dividing wall doesn't reach the ceiling. There is a glass partition instead near the ceiling. Really?? I assume a large room was divided in half to make two rooms with this flimsy construction. Hearing every sound from the adjacent bathroom like you were sharing a room with your neighbors including gargling and spitting when brushing teeth, farting and urinating into the toilet was really unpleasant. It certainly left us paranoid about making any noise. If you value your privacy, this is not the place to stay. Unfortunately, the experience left us feeling like we were staying at a place just a step up from a hostel.

Wonderful guest house. Friendly team and comfortable rooms. The breakfast, included, is in a lovely room. Location is excellent. I was travelling on my own, so was happy to have staff available to help me, whereas some apartments in Rome are self-check in and so you're all on your own. It's very warm and homely.

The location (very close to the Roman Forum) was fantastic, even though everything in Rome was under repair in Dec '24. Not the hotel's fault though. Definitely more of a B&B vs a hotel, but that's the experience that we were looking for. The owner/staff was very responsive and accommodating prior to check-in.||To travelers expecting a five star resort, room service, etc, this is not it. It was exactly what I was expecting through after reading the other reviews.

Cannot beat the location. Within walking distance to everything. Staff was very nice and gave us instructions on where to go and best restaurants in the area. Rooms are very nice and elegant. Heated and cooled. Next to ruined dated at 2 BC with an incredible view from their rooftop balcony where you can enjoy your wine or beer with an incredible view of the city and see the coliseum.

Great location, extremely clean, authentic Italian - I really loved the decor and the history behind the place and loved that the family are still there. The staff were really helpful, gave me some great sightseeing and food recommendations as was my third time in rome. I had such a lovely time. Initially I had wondered what this place would be like as it had no bad reviews, it’s because of the above and I would 100% stay here again (but for longer this time). Also bonus - has a lift which is needed in Italy! The first place I stayed had 11 flights of stairs I had to drag my luggage up and down so lift gets an extra point! A very welcoming place, Barbara who greeted me at reception was exceptional, so kind and very helpful, passionate about the city and the hotel. Has small cute streets, there is also a lovely ceramic shop next door you must visit “Corsi di Ceramica” the lovely Marina hand makes one of a kind ceramics which of course I had to buy, she’s a wonderful lady. Also you MUST visit the rooftop, the view up there is amazing so don’t miss it!

Had wonderful stay here, thanks to Barbara and Natalia! Barbara gave us a great map for walking to the nearby sites, which worked well. The rooftop terrace was just terrific, great views and great wine served by Natalia. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Location very convenient, easy to walk to Trevi fountain and Colosseum, plus lots of restaurants nearby.
