Residenza Torre di San Martino

I would highly recommend this hotel for people looking for a genuine sense of history, and for somewhere that feels a bit off the beaten path, but still in close driving range of a number of lovely sites. The food here was excellent, and the staff was highly friendly. The only thing to keep in mind is that you do need to have the staff open the gate to the village when you want to drop off of pick up your luggage, and that the restaurant attached to the hotel can get a bit noisy in the evening, especially when hosting a party. The setting of the hotel inside a medieval walled village attached to a castle is wonderful, and the staff is certainly friendly. Just keep in mind they cover multiple duties so the staff is not always available at all hours.

Very authentic and attractive hotel. Everyone bored by chain hotels will enjoy it. Rooms are well furnitured, bathrooms look great. The only disappointment is breakfast

Beautiful place to spend the night in the Italian countryside. Stayed in the Junior Suite with private terrace. The service and room exceeded expectation. The tour of the castle, the small bar on site and overall atmosphere of the village made you feel like you have gone back in time. Overall great place to stay in the country.

We stay at this hotel often when we drive down to Italy. Each time we have a great stay. The hotel is fantastic, the location is beautiful and the restaurants are excellent. The rooms a very well maintained. Breakfast is ok, the coffee is great!

A very special hotel steeped in culture and history. Comfortable and interesting. It’s staff are very professional and yet so friendly. Great stay but too short

Loved our room, the food and the wonderful castle and borgo area. Being at a historic site where time has stood still and you can stay the night. Pure magic. Great for the kids too, who could explore the lovely garden

A great place for some R&R. Beautiful setting for Christmas. Pity there wasn’t snow as it would have been even more magical. More info about the grounds could and should be given to guests. Breakfast needs a little improvement. Coffee was perfect :)

Good quality hotel, warm and clean rooms, comfortable beds in a ancient village complex. Didn't have time to visit spa and the restaurant was fully booked, but hope to check during the next time. Good choice for romantic getaways.
