I am disappointed with the service we received. First, we never received any water. We ordered a salad, which was enormous, leaving us too full to enjoy our main course. When we asked for it to be packed to go, the waitress mentioned, "Usually I tell people it's really big." If that's the case, why wasn’t it mentioned to us before we ordered?
The drinks took an unusually long time to arrive, even though the restaurant wasn't busy, with many empty tables around us. We felt completely neglected, as if we were the forgotten table in the corner. The waitress didn’t check in on us until she noticed I wasn’t eating my main dish.
Additionally, when I made the reservation, I requested a booth, but none was available. However, one became free before our appetizers arrived, so I asked the waitress if we could be moved. She said she would check but never followed up. It took 20 minutes for the staff to clear the table, and then another 30 minutes passed before they seated someone else there.
Overall, the lack of attention to detail and poor communication made for a very frustrating dining experience. This was very disappointing to us considering this is one of my favourite restaurants in town and felt let down.
