Best Beaches in Key West, Florida

"Rest Beach at C.B. Harvey Park is a great place to chill out. The warm, shallow waters and soft sandy beach make this is a favorite destination for shell hunters and families, as it's ideal for wading and playing. You can also access the Key West Aids Memorial from here, as it's in the middle of Rest Beach and Higgs Beach." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Yelp
Free Florida fun though not exactly the best place to rest unless you count hanging out on the seawall! Not to be unfair, there is one covered picnic area sans table. Anyway, it's a small park. The beach itself is very narrow and not unlike other Keys beaches it's rocky with coral and full of seagrass. You'd have to be pretty ambitious to lay out here. ...but there's a few good parking spots, plenty of shade, and lots of chickens if you're looking for pictures.
