Restaurace La Hospoda Karlovy Vary

We had a great experience here. Food is amazing, Czech classics. Wonderful kulajda soup, svickova and beef tartare, would happily eat here again. We also had the Becherovka tasting, that was a fun touch. Lots of plants, modern interior. Very good service, friendly staff. Why not 5 stars - I had the fried cheese and it was edible but a disappointment, the breading was too thick and it was served cold (we needed quite some time for the first course so maybe it waited in the kitchen for too long?). Would recommend to make a reservation and not ordering the fried cheese.

We were looking for a restaurant with local food but just outside the tourist circuit, we totally wished to have a cozy place that would not turn into a tourist trap... and this is how we find this little gem, hidden right in plain sight, just further along the canal. The food was top quality and the staff were warm, welcoming and very pleasant. The dishes were typical Czech food but with a particular elegance and taste. We went there two days in a row for lunch - booking is highly recommended in the summer period.

A very good restaurant in Karlovy Vary. Nice and original ambiance, very good dishes at a good price. Try the venison, and the dessert of the plum dumplings. The service was kind and helpful

We reserved a table for 15 family members. All of us were really happy after this lunch. We had several different dishes and all were served together. The ambience is great and the staff friendly, authentic and attentive. The dishes were not only delicious but also very beautifully arranged. The prices were really moderate. Allover a fantastic experience. And you have to try the original Becherovka.

Amazing place and more amazing food. The service was also perfect. We did not have a reservation, but they found us a table which was free for 1 hour and 15 minutes. In this time we got our food and had time to enjoy the taste of the served dishes. Thank you for your hospitality!

This is the first restaurant in the Czech Republic I am leaving a negative review after visit. I will say right away: the place is beautiful, the food is average. However I could have given it a solid four stars if not the waiter's behavior. I want this review to be listened to because of this person I will never come to this place again, despite I live in the neighboring house. The first time I asked for the bill, the waiter, a short man, left. When he came back, he asked if I wanted more beer. What beer are we talking about if I said that I finished and needed the bill? I repeated my request. He left again. He brought the bill for two neighboring tables. At that moment I thought that it would be my turn, but this man started grabbing the dishes. I was simply shocked and asked him for the third time. I also drew his attention to the fact that I had already asked for the bill twice. instead of s. up and bringing the bill, he began to be rude to me and said that I did not ask for the bill. I said that I did it twice and now I ask him to finally bring it to me! With a twisted arrogant face he brought me the bill and again said that I did not ask for it. Horrible. I do not recommend this place to anyone until this person is fired.

Great place to have a bite. Nice food and great service. The prices are also reasonable. Could definitely recommend visiting.

5/5 beacuse of the risotto, even if it was more liquid than it should the flavour was amazing the goat cheese with the mushrooms felt so balanced
