Restaurace La Hospoda Karlovy Vary

When in Karlovy Vary, please visit this restaurant! The place is charming, with an very cute outdoor place to sit on warm days, very clean and organised. The waiter was able to speak German, English and Czech and he was very polite and friendly. The food was great! The pork schinzel is definitely one of the best ones I ever had in the country, but the burguer was definitely the best one I ever had so far in Czech Republic!

In the entrance of the city, by the riverside. Very cute and family-friendly. Ambiance is really clean and warm. The food was delicious. We took the beef broth and served well. Also, the penne and grilled meat was good. It was our first-time in Karlovy Vary and well recommended for lunch. Especially because it is far from the caotic environment of the city center. We didn’t like the desert much; however, everything else was really good :)

Great lunch here at La Hospoda. We even customized the salmon dish for my wife to substitute grilled vegetables for the Bulgar, and it turned out amazing. This is a little off the tourist path, which is very nice. Great atmosphere, nice patio, friendly service.

Good food - albeit rather expensive. We had polite service. Sadly they stuck us outside on a rainy cold day - which rather spoiled the experience for us. Recommendation for the restaurant: do not use your porch on rainy days.

Absolute surprise!! The food was such high quality, and for prices (on the lunch menu) lower than in many low cost places. The normal menu is considerably more expensive, but I believe still super worth it.

If you are in Karlovy Vary, and want to have local Czech dishes, then go for it. Their portions are huge enough for one person. We enjoyed our food.

We were looking for a restaurant with local food but just outside the tourist circuit, we totally wished to have a cozy place that would not turn into a tourist trap... and this is how we find this little gem, hidden right in plain sight, just further along the canal. The food was top quality and the staff were warm, welcoming and very pleasant. The dishes were typical Czech food but with a particular elegance and taste. We went there two days in a row for lunch - booking is highly recommended in the summer period.
