Restaurace Na Urale

According to google maps they close at midnight. I arrived super late due to a missed flight in Prague and went quite a while for a walk to find a restaurant that is still open. When I entered the place shortly before 23:00 the kitchen was already closed and the staff didn’t seem to be very happy to see a new guest. I get it, there are too many tourists in Prague, but you don’t need to show it for everyone 🫣.

Very family oriented, we came with our grandson, after his playtime in the playground across the street. The borscht is excellent! Hardy, rich, plentiful, the right touch for a fall day. The veal, and the stake were delicious! Of course, a fine Pilsner complemented the food very well.

This place gets packed during the night, don't forget to make a reservation. The portions are big and the price is fair for the location. Great for Czech cuisine.

Do not ruin your day by walking into this place. Grumpy male bartender (owner, IF you ever are interested, he was working around 3pm today) gave me hot wine in plastic cup which it’s bottom started to deform because of the “hot” wine that was heated in a cattle to boil :) basic physics anyone? Upon my absolutely mild attitude of questioning the guy literally took away the hot wine and gave me back the money, which I did NOT ask for and find extremely rude. Another great Czech service. 🙄

The young female staff member was very welcoming and friendly. The food, beer and homemade lemonade were all delicious. With love from Japanese tourists.🌸

Very nice place in Prague 6. Traditional Czech food, good beer, and friendly staff. I really liked the interiors, super cozy and warm.
