We came to this restaurant as a recommendation by our Airbnb host, and so glad we did! Despite us being able to speak very little Polish the service was super friendly and helpful. We asked the waitress for her recommendation and she said to try the goulash with potato pancakes, it was so delicious and just wanted I wanted!! The pierogi were also amazing too. Felt like a lovely homely atmosphere. Defo recommend!

Had a very good dinner for a very good price. We got a good experience of the Polish kitchen and were positively surprised. Service is great and the people are very nice. Recommend!!! We spend 200 zlt (47€) (including tips) for 2 starters, 2 main dishes and 4 drinks.

After trying couple of highly rated restaurants in Kraków we decided to try food in this Polish traditional restaurant Cechowa and it was worth it. Situated near old town square but very quiet and have plenty of spaces to enjoy foods. Foods are delicious especially we loved the fish and roasted pork. The value and food price is totally great. The staffs were very friendly to provide details information on food selection.

We came to this restaurant by way of our tour guide, who grew up in Krakow. It is not in the center of the heaviest tourist area, but it is certainly convenient to most areas. We found the food to be quite authentic and was the best Polish food we had in one week visiting. The staff was friendly, English speaking, and helpful. It is still a family owned business, for over 40 years now.

Very very delicious! We are satisfied with all the food and drinks. I especially love the beef soup and pork tough, which are very special and well cooked:) the beef tartare is also amazing and tasty! very recommended! The service ladies are very friendly and nice!

A very cozy Polish restaurant in the old town of Kraków. It offers traditional Polish cuisine with very tasty dishes. The service was a bit slow, but that’s alright — everything was excellent and the prices are very reasonable. The decor is also charming and adds to the warm atmosphere.

Everything we ordered is just 44pln, yet the service was good, caring and attentive. The waitress was very friendly, kind and polite. The food we ordered were mainly pork, which the sauce tasted even better with the rice which was soft.

A very nice, family-run Polish restaurant next door to the Rynek Główny. It has all the traditional dishes on its menu. Service is friendly and efficient. I had an appetizer - herring à la Cechowa that comes with latkes and veggies, plus a compulsory shot of vodka - and a dessert (delicious apple crepes) as a whole meal. Priced VERY reasonable given the location. Highly recommended. Dinner reservation is a good idea.

This is a place feels every bit of its forty-year tradition. It is located in the Krakow Old Town, near Jagiellonian University. Cechowa serves quality Polish cuisine at a decent price. I usually order beef tartare. Even though they make it with rump steak, instead of tenderloin, the meat is always fresh and served in my favorite, traditional way. Loyal customers can often be found here, especially ladies who meet to catch up in a comforting and familiar atmosphere. The service is always friendly, inviting and helpful.

Old style - great quality at an inexpensive price. Steak tartare , herring, potato pancakes, so many main dishes too served in a very polish style. Many restaurants chase what's new and fashionable , not Cechowa. I can't recommend it more highly.
