Really nice place, staff are friendly, the food was excellent (rosoł, żurek, pierogi, z kaczką, schabowy z kapustą, piers z kaczki) - see pics :) Slight communication issue with one of the dishes, but all was resolved. I would definitely recommend a visit.

I enjoyed so many wonderful meals in Gdansk, which may be why I felt a little underwhelmed by my visit here. There was nothing bad or particularly negative about my meal but nothing very notable either. The starter was presented nicely, the main (a traditional breaded pork cutlet with potatoes) was well prepared and was a hearty portion. However I feel the price was definitely higher here than other places I visited and it did nothing to particularly earn the extra cost (especially as the city is full of affordable restaurants). Service was swift and acceptable but not particularly warm. It was... fine. One thing I didn't like was the decor though. It felt like it was straight out of an IKEA catalogue.

Very cosy place in Old Town Gdansk. Comfy, warm and really genuine people working there. We had 5 different dishes, and we were so hungry that all the pictures are taken after we had some. Food was excellent and so were the desserts. Would highly recommend this place!

Very nice interior and very friendly staff. I tried my first Zurek here, it was really nice!

The dining experience was absolutely delightful, and I highly recommend this restaurant! 💕 The food was exceptionally delicious, leaving a lasting impression. However, I would suggest implementing a menu with pictures to facilitate ordering for foreign visitors, enhancing their overall experience.

Nice, fresh, tasty food and good atmosphere.

We had a wonderful time at the restaurant (dinner). Nice decor, cozy, good acoustics. The staff was were polite and professional. The food was tasty, original and very nice plated and served. We had the beef tartar and beetroot carpaccio as starters and 2 burgers and pork spareribs as main dishes. In addition we had a round of drinks plus 2 sodas. We ended up with 350PLN (excl. tip) which we find very reasonable for that level. Definitely recommend!

Bland overpriced food, server got my beer wrong and they suddenly closed the kitchen before closing hours without asking if we wanted dessert. The boar was poorly cooked, tasteless and was served with hard black beans which were undercooked (god knows how they managed to do that). Appetizers were also underwhelming compared to others we had at restaurants in Gdańsk. The black pudding was the only decent one. The only saving grace was a live musician which was good. Overall, I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This was a great restaurant for a late dinner in Gdansk. We were able to get a nice table outside and we loved the ambiance of the place. The food was elegant and really delicious. The duck breast was tender and perfectly cooked, and my husband loved his schnitzel with the fried egg on top. My espresso martini was really delicious. Would be five starts if not for the slow service. It started out well but we never got any more water nor a chance for another drink. But all in all it was a nice experience and recommended for a spot in busy Gdansk.

We arrived at GVARA around 10 am for breakfast. We placed our food order, along with the coffee. The server brought us tea (which we did not order) and although she I insisted that it was ours, we pushed it aside. The food was wonderful. The mistake was eventually realized by the staff about the tea, and they said it was ours free of charge. Eventually, I tried it. What a surprise. The mint was so soothing and it was so enjoyable sitting in the morning sun on the terrace before we started our day.

The pornstar Martini was very good with a sour separated from the sweet.. the beef cheeks with homemade dumplings and beetroot for delicious top quality. Thanks for letting me get the last table in the restaurant!

This was an excellent restaurant. The menu choices were great. The waiter was very attentive and gave great recommendations. Julian was great!!! Our starters were very good and the salad with strawberries, watermelon and Greek cheese was the best. The overall dining experience could not have been better. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Crawfish necks were uninspired. Salmon dry and over cooked - what a shame. Goulash was fine, not special really. Wine was way too expensive. Service was highly inattentive but very polite and friendly. The entire dinner did not deliver the quality based on the prices. I left feeling regretful, hungry and more poor.
