Restauracja i bar Hornet Giżycko

There are no hand sanitisers and the wc is locked 🔒 so you can’t wash your hands before you take food (that means that the serving scoops and tongs are probably dirty of bacteria, quite disgusting). The food was fatty and some barbecued vegetables were scorched that their one side was completely black (also disgusting). The cashier was friendly that was the one of the few good things in this place. The place was really not cozy, outside it was to hot because of the greenhouse effect caused of the plastic walls and busy street, and it was empty of people, no wonder why.

We had 4 different types of freshwater fish and all were great...we asked fore some fish to be baked rather than fried and chef done what we asked and all had a great meals. Prices are reasonable presentation of food is nice and customer toilet is free, no one tried to charge us as per previous post. The only thing is waitresses are rushing to fast to clean table of finished but not necessary empty plates...we would appreciate a bit more time. However waitresses are super polite and smiley...

They have a serious problem with the kitchen. The order on which each meal Was served, clearly denotes that they have no idea of how a kitchen should work. The pierogi were the same you can buy frozen in supermarkets but when we stated it to the waitress, we have been told that... noooo they are freshly made! We had just one to try and left the rest, but they have been charged in full of course! The other meals were just made up of mediocre raw ingredients. Never again!

Very good value alternative for more expensive restaurants located beside the Lake and the Canal. The food is chipper, fresh, and serve much faster. I got my order in about 15 minutes in hight sesone.

Went here for ice cream and they wanted 5zl to use the toilets, even for customers. Not the 1980s anymore. Very poor.

Nice place to have something to eat. English speaking stuff as a benefit!
