Restaurang Jalla

Food took 35mins to come and the taste of the food was really bad. We ordered kyckling halv, the taste of the chicken was not good, the sauces were quite bland compared to how it is supposed to be. The pickle and the salad were old.

All is new. The interior. The food. Everything. The place is super fresh. Colorful. Chill. The food was not served too fast. The food is now more like "sophisticated" version of kebab/falafel etc. Packed with various veggies that it does not feel too heavy in stomach when finishing it. Of course, this is not the best "hipster kebab" I've had, but I'm glad that this option is now available in Uppsala. If you look for standard, fatty kebab slathered in sauce, this is not the place for you. I got full by this gyros in bread alone.

Shittiest food in Uppsala, took 40 mins to cook the worst fried chicken. Pickles were probably expired as well. Don’t be fooled by the looks

Wonderfull, tasty food and service at the Central Square of Uppsala The Turkish dinner here was excellent and the setting very nice. We went during the Valpurgis festivities when all of Uppsala is celebrating and there is loud music everywhere. But the service and the food we received in Jalla deserves a strong recommendation. The food was excellent and the restaurant a quiet haven in a bustling city. Thank you!

Decent but not amazing. When we were waiting we saw the chef take a handful of fries from the same container/fryer that customers are served from, and put them in his mouth. However we did see him wash his hands well at another moment, so we decided to stick with this place. The food was nice! Big portions. I had menu 19, and the chicken kebab meat was hot and tasty. The pittas and wraps were very good. Would definitely come back here for the food if I was nearby and wanted this sort of thing. My only other observation was general cleanliness of public areas. The toilet was quite dirty and there was graffiti etc on the walls. But overall this one was good.

After renovation (maybe change of owner) the food here became much worse. Now it is low quality kebab plates.

This place is really good for fast food restaurant. You can order kebabs, falafel, and other Mediterranean style foods. I went here with my husband when we were visiting Uppsala. We found it while we were strolling through the city. It's right next to a bus stop, so we saw a lot of students coming and going. There is plenty of seating. I ordered a falafel combo and my husband, the kebab combo. The mix ins are ready to go. You place your order and pay first then head in line to choose whatever you want (salad, hummus, onions, hot or mild sauce, etc.) to go with your meal. It's a filling meal and the food is really fresh. These were probably the best restaurant bought falafel I've had, very crispy and not greasy. The combo also comes with a drink. I really liked the apple punch there... It's a place to go for a quick lunch, before you get back to class.

In late November,when I visited Uppsala,I had 2 delightful suppers in this fine eatery in the heart of Uppsala.I enjoyed fine Middle Eastern Dishes,especially its Felafel Plate with a generous portion of fresh salads and french fries.Considering that food prices at restaurants in Sweden are high,eating my suppers at Jalla's was a good deal.

Loved this place. Liked it a lot better than Kebab House, which is one of its competitors in the area. Quality of the chicken gyro was good. I would recommend having it over rice, instead of fries. Staff was friendly, spoke English really well; place was clean.

This is a great place for fast food! If you are really hungry this place is the best for you. Personally, I don't like this kind of food but it is good if you're really hungry! Try the "kebabrulle" it's simply meat, vegetables and sauce wrapped in a thin delicious bread! This food will really make you full! (I do not recommend going on a date after eating here)
