Food was amazing.. I'm mad it's taken me this long (3yrs) to get in here. Sweet potato fries are very tasty.. drinks are well made and we never skip out on dessert

Stopped here for an early dinner. Music from the 70s played in the background. Industrial style atmosphere. Burgers are this restaurant's specialty so we ordered the turkey Cobb burger, the avocado burger, and the build your own 55 burger. Burgers were better than average, but not the best I've ever had. The French fries were decent and the broccoli salad was good. The homemade cheesecake was excellent. The cupcakes looked delicious...maybe I'll try one at a later time.

I visited here I believe around a month ago, but I have been before, their burgers are absolutely amazing. Everything tastes fresh and comes out hot and the staff are very kind, welcoming and friendly. The only downside is that the space is very cramped, and it’s hard to hear due to it always being so busy, also the parking is a bit limited. But I absolutely recommend this restaurant to someone looking for special/wonderful burgers. Great place!!

Looks a bit underwhelming from the outside, but once inside, that will change. It is a great local place that you will soon see its flavor. Good food and plenty of beers and drinks to swallow it down with. I had a couple Brooklyn Lagers and the Salmon Po' Boy special. But you can order what you want when you visit. Note: If you order the Nachos, there better a few of you or be prepared to be there a while to finish them 😆

We have been trying to get here for several years but the wait is always been long but last night it was only about 15 minutes. I give the waiter three choices of what I wanted to eat and that was French dip, and a burger and fish and chips. He recommended the fish and chips. They were probably the best fish and chips I've had in a long long time. My wife got the Reuben and the pastrami on the sandwich was probably the best we've ever had. French onion soup was also very good.

Solid burger and beer list. Lot's of great craft beers on tap. The pretzel appetizer was right on and the burgers were delicious. Good amount of toppings that you can pick from. Service was a little slow and the burgers took a while to prepare but overall the experience was nice and atmosphere was fun and lively. I would definitely pop in again when I'm passing through Dover.

I love this place. The food is always great portions and taste great. My fish was PACKED with fish. It was so flaky and moist it was falling out from my fork. The house chips were great and the mozzarella sticks were HUGE!!! The Bavarian pretzel was super soft with lots of salt too. I've tried multiple things here and always am impressed 😊

Ordered a burger. Beef was of great quality, and the toppings were great as well. Not quite as good as two stones pub, but infinitely more choices. Restaurant was clean, on the cool side, temp wise. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area.

We were visiting the area and our friends suggested dinner here because they've been there many times and always found great food and prices. True to their word, we enjoyed every meal, the setting was comfortable and welcoming. Best of all was service from new hire Cameron who made our meal most pleasant.

I went here for the first time recently, just randomly choosing a place to eat at a halfway mark for me and some co-workers and am so glad I did! This may be a hidden gem and I definitely want to go back! The inside was quaint and our server was good. It was hard to choose what I wanted to eat as lots looked good. The fried pickle spears were terrific, the burger was thick and juicy and delicious but the thing I just can't stop thinking about is the key lime martini. It's one of those drinks that you just need in your life. My biggest dilemma when I go back is that there were so many other drinks that looked equally amazing but how do I not get the key lime again? I honestly can't wait to go back. I definitely recommend!

Had a disappointing experience at Restaurant 55 in Magnolia. Waited over 25 minutes without assistance, even after bringing it to the hostess's attention respectfully because it may have been a simple oversight. People seated after us were acknowledged and assisted promptly. The hostess attempted to help, however despite being told to attend to us, our server walked away and went to the kitchen, further prolonging our wait. Ultimately, left after 37 minutes of frustration we got up to leave. Their food in the past has been delicious so may try again but definitely disappointed this time. I'd post a pic or two of their delicious offerings, but we didn't even get a water in almost 40 minutes.

Went for the first time today and it was very nice. Our waitress Caroline U was very nice and patient as we asked about the menu. My husband had the turkey burger while I had the 55 burger both had fries which were perfectly cooked!! As well as our burgers !!!

They ran out of turkey croquets and had to choose something else. The stuffed meatloaf was just okay. The stuffing was flavorful but the meatloaf was bland and under seasoned. My fig burger was way too sweet overall. The fig jam plus the candied bacon plus the sweet drunken onions all made it too sweet. The goat cheese was not strong enough to cut through the sweetness. A sharp cheddar or a blue cheese would have been a better choice. The burger itself had no flavor whatsoever. This was our second time to visit. We really wanted to give it a second chance after a mediocre experience the first time. Our server Quawn was excellent and attentive. Unfortunately, the food just wasn't up to par on either visit. We'll be dining elsewhere the next time we're in Dover.

Well maybe more food chooses, I went in couple years back and it felt like a bar restaurant all sandwiches. When we got our food it was cold and before that we were sitting and waiting seeing others served first even though they placed the order way after us. Finally we were told they had no fries and I can not remember it was a meat that we couldn't order yet too early.

My son took us to this place when we visited for a snack and beer. We got wings, fries and a pretzel. He got the bay wings and oooh not for me. They were very seasoned. The meat itself was tasty. The pretzel was big and yummy. It was salty but it may have tasted more salty because of the wings. But it was good. The fries were the best part of the food. Fresh (warm) and not salty. We were just going for a snack so it was fine. The beer on the other hand. Big selection! We got the West Coast IPA. It's was very good. We are from San Diego where there are a ton of breweries so when we travel we are always looking for good beer. Service wasn't fast but the waitress was very nice and patient as we decided what we wanted. My son said the service is the same when slow or busy there. It wasn't too bad.

The food What is delicious the service we are now it was a very long wait for not darker one meal so please do not come here very busy because then there's like a hour wait

Food was ok. Service was acceptable. Ambiance was loud. Not a favorite. Could hardly talk over others. Maybe better at the bar.

The ambiance was " missing." The seating was cramped. Tiny table. After being seated, we asked to be moved, and we were told that they had only one side open. Ok, only the restaurant was not crowded.. so why can't we have a better place to be seated? No response. The waiter was in a rush during our deciding on what to order. Very impatient. Rude. The food we ordered was lukewarm. Crab cakes mushy. The shrimp dish we ordered was cold, and the shrimp should have been hot. The hamburger patties were dry as dust. Our drinks were lacking in taste. Water has more taste. Would I recommend for others to dine here. No. The prices were high, and we expected that only we never expected the food to be inedible. It's not a very good place to eat. Very poor service. Food lacking in taste and presentation.

If you're in a burger mood, you have found the right place. We came to Restaurant 55 on a rainy Saturday evening. The burger menu here is EXTENSIVE. If you're anything like me, it will take you a minute to figure out the perfect burger. I chose the Desiree Burger - bacon blend w/jalapeño Jack cheese and six strips of bacon. I could feel my heart putting up a fight but it was totally worth it. Fries are hot and crisp. The service is great. Oh and they have a solid beer selection. Need I say more? If you're looking for a tasty burger, look no further!

Came here after a business trip to Dover. The burgers were really good. We got fried pickles. The service was great also the food came out quick and they were attentive to my beverage needs. There were a lot of people there and the place had a good vibe going.

Absolutely the best food, from scratch with the greatest staff !!! They ALWAYS have something different with all of the specials and you can NEVER go wrong with the Best burgers in town !!! I like the Fish & Chips and Turkey Croquettes that stay on the menu regularly. The hand cut Fries,Potato chips and onion rings are a winner too .Support our locally owned restaurants !

Service is attentive & friendly. Food is unique, flavorful, and well presented. Chips are home-made and well salted. I got the giant pretzel w/ beer cheese and mustard, as well as the pizza burger. My partner got the "not the breakfast burger". Both burgers were cooked just how we wanted them and excellent. Only thing we'd change is that the fries were bottom of the bag, so small pieces. Overall a great experience!

Must say, pretty good burgers! Tried a few different items, soups, apps, etc as well and they have been delicious and well presented. Bartenders are always friendly and welcoming. Cocktails are well made and good selection of beers. Nice, casual atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

The atmosphere is cool and the server I had most recently has been from restaurant to restaurant as they have closed down since Covid. Great to see a familiar place. It is the place to go if you want a quality restaurant burger. The beer selection is extensive. I always forget that this place is one of my favorites.

Average food, below average service. We went here about 1:30 and service was very slow with few people. Our drinks were not refilled even when asked. Buns disintegrate after a bit making the burger very messy.

We found Restaurant 55 thanks to Yelp and all the positive reviews. This review is also nothing but positive. This is a nice, clean, and open restaurant with plenty of parking. We were quickly seated by a very friendly hostess. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and extremely attentive. There is a very large number of different beers on tap as well as in bottles and cans. There is certainly something for everyone. If you like burgers this is the place for you. Lots of different specialty burgers as well as a build your own burger with hundreds of different combinations. We got the following burgers: Teriyaki burger, Philly burger, Santa Fe, and a burger with sautéed onions and mushrooms. Every one of them was outstanding and my party recommends every one. Pictures posted below. We also got the following sides: French fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings. We liked them all but highly recommend the sweet potato fries with the special cinnamon & sugar sauce. If you like really quality burgers this is the place for you!

Hidden gem! I truly believe I had the best burger I've ever had from here. You have to try it out, if you're close by. Food: 10/10- they have a huge selection of burgers to choose from & the meat is very fresh. They have a 50/50 burger which is half ground beef, half ground bacon & it was amazing! They also offer a sage burger which is made with ground sausage, that I really wanted to try. You can create your own or go with one of their specialties, which all sound great. I ordered the Fried Pickle Burger that was one of the daily specials. It was the 50/50 burger topped with a full fried pickle, pepper jack cheese & spicy mayo & came with fries. I loved every bite. I also tried the fried artichokes...very tasty as well. Drinks: I ordered a Pear Martini & a Green Tea Martini, both very good Service: Although busy, the waitress was very attentive & friendly Parking: Plenty of parking available

This place was amazing. I had the half bacon, half beef burger with mushroom and Gruyere (Swiss). Truly one of the best burgers I've ever had. My girlfriend had the sage beef burger. I tried a bite of it, a little to overwhelming for me, but was still delicious. Highly recommend.

This visit was a while ago but I will tell you what I remember. The BBQ is made with love. I had the brisket (always get this in BBQ joints). AND the craft draft beer selection was great - always a draw for me.

My wife and I visited your establishment on 3/19/2024. We were met with very poor "SERVICE". We sat down and waited to be served. However, when the waitress came, we were met with her back. As she turned to the table opposite us and waited on them First and e weren there a good TEN minutes before them. So we politely GOT UP AND LEFT THE ESTABLISHMENT. Vowing never to return. We are AFRICAN Americans and of course the family of 4 were white. It was our fault because we were the only African American Americans In the establishment at that time. NEVER AGAIN. I suppose the White persuasion is where the ratings come from because THIS ESTABLISHMENT DOESN'T EVEN RATE A ONE STAR.

Extensive burger menu! Everyone will find something. They have non beef options too. The place has appropriate decor and service is t bad at all. Sometimes it's very busy but I never seem irritated by the lack of attention. They manage things well.

A great variety of bar type foods in a family style setting. I haven't had a bad dish yet. It's worth a try if you want good food in a relaxed atmosphere.

I have great respect and appreciation for everyone at 55 the food is amazing and always delicious and I got to share my dinning experience with my friends they take great care in making sure you have a excellent meal also you should consider coming early and often and try the lemonade U think it's very tasty

When I first moved to Dover, I was told this was the best burger place in town and that couldn't be more true. The specials menu is ever changing so there's always a chance to try something new, but if you're not a fan of the pre-crafted items, you can build your own burger to perfection. The meat can't be compared to other places because it's SO fresh and SO unique. The fries are crispy and the bartenders offer a generous pour with the fabulous list of cocktails. I make it a point to introduce newbies to R55 every chance I get.

Everything was cooked wrong, we asked for just the app to be taken off that we didn't eat and we got attitude from the manager. Will not be coming back

Good restaurant with good food but it is loud ! The wait staff is young and helpful. It's just a shame you can't go there to chat.

I didn't know what to expect when I pulled up. The location is not what you would expected a restaurant of this caliber to be at. The service was prompt and friendly. It took a minute to decide what I wanted since there were many good choices offered. I decided on a sandwich and side. The hand cut fries were well cooked and seasoned and the sandwich was worth every penny. From the roll to the filling everything was fresh and well flavored and a great serving. They do offer a large beer and wine list if you are eating in.

It's better than most hamburger restaurants. Burgers are creative. Fries are so so. You would think a restaurant of this type would offer a whole lot more healthier alternatives to red meat burgers. Where is the commitment to the public to offer food that's healthier?

My husband had a 55 burger, our daughter had fish and chips. I ordered the pulled pork that was dead before I got it. Very dry and tasted like saw dust. They changed it out for a French dip sandwich which was extremely dry too and tasteless. Au jus sauce was tasteless. My daughters fish was dry and when she tried to complain about it the manager got nasty and told her end pieces will be dry. It was the actual whole fish not the ends we were upset about and she wouldn't take it off our bill. Husbands sandwich wasn't much better. Will not recommend this place. Wish I could rate it a zero. Waitress was friendly.

We were in the area and looking for a place to eat so as usual, we checked Yelp. When we entered 55 we thought it was a really cute place. It was a Saturday night so we had a rather long wait ( over 35 minutes) and there wasn't much seating for those who wait and the small bar was already mobbed .If i had a suggestion it would be to add a bigger waiting area. Other than that it was a really cute, comfortable place to dine. After 30 minutes of waiting I decided to try a local microbrew so I headed to the bar where I was immediately waited on by a really personable bartender. He took the time to explain to me how the beer they had from 16 Mile Brewery out of Georgetown tasted and he offered me a sample. I was sold! To me he was engaging and that is great customer service. Our server for dinner was equally personable. Menu: - Bronto Burger which my honey loved. It contained 50% more freshly ground-chuck than standard burger. - Fried chicken platter which was 3 legs fried with a very tasty bbq rub. It was tender and juicy. Not in the area much but if we are we will stop back.

This was an amazing lunch. My friend says," I'll take you anywhere you want to eat". Never eating at Restaurant 55 , and being close to Dover , this was my pick. Started with an appetizer of the " pimento cheese ", or some may say, southern pate , served with crackers . This is my favorite low country food , when I go to Charleston, and it was just as good as "The Holy City. " This gooey deliciousness was pungent, and definitely homemade . I didn't need the crackers, I could have eaten the pimento cheese by the spoonful. The French fries that come with the burgers are just like you find at the beach, on the boardwalk, including the malt vinegar. We split the vegetarian Portobello burger and Santa Fe burger . Both were good burgers , however, the Santa Fe was slightly better , perhaps a personal preference, but much prefer sautéed spinach, on a Portobello burger. We probably wouldn't have ordered had we known the spinach wasn't cooked. The Santa Fe had an amazing explosion of taste ...juicy , sweet, tangy, and crispy all at the same time. The homemade root beer BBQ sauce , onion confetti, bacon ,and cheddar cheese, on the Santa Fe , was so- so yummy. They have some interesting choices of burgers like the " Willie Nelson" or " Elvis." You will be entirely to full to order dessert, but curiosity had me when I heard cupcakes, most especially carrot cake, so I had to order a cupcake to go. The carrot cake cupcake was crazy good, insanely moist , delicately spiced and delicious. They offer two other cupcakes but I tuned them out and only focused on the carrot cake choice. Karen, the bartender , is a lovely host and extremely informative. I enjoyed RAR'S "house phone" smelling of grapefruit and tropical fruit, a lot of punch for low ABV 5% , Loads of craft beer on tap and bottles. This new year is starting out to be a happy one.

Went there today for my birthday and our service was great, had a burger cooked perfect and the onion rings were ginormous. The restaurant had a modern dinner feel, very nice.

Nice little local place. All the staff were really friendly and the food was good. We didn't have reservations but we only had to wait a few minutes when we thought it was going to be about 20 minutes. I'll come back when I'm in town again visiting family.

Love their Turkey burger and sweet potato fries! Service is decent, drinks are delicious.

My family and I love this place! It's a small town gem. Their burgers are phenomenal along with everything else on the menu. They post daily specials on their Facebook page, I'd recommend checking those out. They often include burgers but sometimes include other options such as vegetarian choices. Turkey croquettes and chicken teriyaki are a couple of the other specials I've seen. Basically all you need to know is even if you're not a burger person this place has something for you. Not to mention the cupcakes they have every day too!

Great place for burgers and more. Their salmon burger is a whole piece of salmon - yum! Their chick pea burger is made from scratch and is excellent! My daughter said "it was the best Veggie Burger she has ever had. We will definitely be back.
